Here is a cool Bootanimation -- I don't know who I should give credit to. I extracted it from Galaxy Note - TeamRocket ROM.
I just modified some loops at the end and change the pixel resolution setting to 600x1024 for our G-Tab.
If anyone knows who we should give credit to please post.
Enjoy.
Note: Thanks to Sir Otto, we have a shorter version. Go to his post for download link
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26798166&postcount=14
To change your bootanimation, you will need :
1. root access and Root Explorer, or CWM.
Method 1:
Simply go to /system/media, place the attached bootanimation.zip in the folder replacing the original one.
Note: Please don't forget to back up your old bootanimation just in case you don't like what you downloaded.
Method 2:
Flash zip file on 2nd post below (TronDroidBootanimation.zip) in CWM recovery mode.
Credits:
TeamRocket (Galaxy-Note ROM) -- I extracted from this rom.
ATGAdmin and Icy (Iconia A500) -- It w also the boot animation for his ROM
Sir Otto -- For editing it to make shorter version --Please hit the thanks button on his post!
CWM Flashable / Screenshots
Update: CWM flashable zip file; only work for non-stock ROM.
download below attached file to your sdcard,
reboot to CWM recovery,
flash the zip file,

This is very nice. Thanks!

This looks very cool on the old tab 7
My pleasure, but again any of you guys know who we should give credit to this beautiful boot animation, please let us know.
Please share if you have or know any cool boot animation. Thanks.
your Neo-Droid boot animation is very nice, but I have to say I'm going with this one, the Tron-Biker. Sorry bro.
There was a guy in the acer a500 and asus transformer prime forums that had this boot animation on his roms. He goes by the name ATGAdmin. He had the icylicious roms for those devices. Not sure if he is still on xda due to some disagreements he had with other developers and the mods.

And what happened to him? I tracked him and he has not posted anything after 2nd of May. I can't post to any of his threads, and seems like whatever happened already deleted from the original thread.
Well there goes, at least partial credit (if it not the whole credit) goes to ATGAdmin and his Icylicious roms. Still not clear if he created the bootanimation or not but he used it about at the same time or a little earlier than TeamRocket for the Galaxy-NoteThanks for the info.
Excuse me, yappoe, but I found this boot animation quite long. Can I just remove some of the images in the zip folder in order to leave only the final part or would it cause terrible things like bricking my Galaxy Tab?
And if I manage to get it working, will you let me upload my "reduced" version here?

It's not going to get your Tab bricked, but it might make the bootanimation not functional (blank boot animation). Maybe Mr. Yappoe kind enough to release a shorter version.

Slyv3 is correct, it won't brick your Tab. At worst you will have blank animation. Yes you can post it here for the short version. Thanks.
Thank you, yappoe and slyv. I tried removing some images in the zip files and it worked.
Now unfortunately I have a slow connection, but I will upload it as soon as possible.

I have tested these 2 roms and it works 100% with CM9 ICS 4.04 and AOKP 4.04 but when I try copying bootanimation.zip using root explorer with root access to a stock 2.3.5 or 2.3.6 gingerbread rom, it gives me a message that there is not enough space to copy this file. I have noticed that the stock rom does not have a bootanimation.zip file. Advise please. thanks

Hi, in stock firmware, there won't be a bootanimation.zip. There will be "samsungbootloop.qmg".
If the original version is too big, can you try the shorter version by Sir Otto above and see if you can put it in?

Hey, here is the S4 Googlel Edition Bootanimation. (Full HD)
I can't make it work. Putted on the system/media folder permissions rw r r and when I reboot, just get an black screen (also deleted samsung boot files). What could it be?
And the S4 Nexus gallery don't work properly. The edition tool makes it FC. Installed the lib files but didn't work at all.

you need to enable custom boot animations, go to: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31833122&postcount=4 and download these files:
CWM_CustomBootanimation_421_Enable.zip
CWM_CustomBootanimation_421_Disable.zip
flash the Enable zip and then flash the custom boot animation, if you want to enable again the stock boot animation then just flash the Disable zip and that's it...
works great
Dont want to destroy your enthusiasm towards the bootanimations but can you share this here -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2339179

It might or it might not be, I haven't seen the script in the zip file... but you can try, as I usually run custom roms then pretty much all of them have busybox already, if you don't have it, look in the Play Store for busybox and install it using the free version (you'll need root of course).
Hi guys I have tried to get the stock international note 3 bootanimation along with the stock boot animation sound of the international note 3. I have tried on mine and it works ok. Remember to make a backup copy of the files you will replace in case you something happen or you dont want it.
Directions
1. Unzip the folder
2. Copy the bootsamsung.qmg, bootsamsungloop.qmg, bootsamsungmini.qmg, bootsamsungminiloop.qmg on system/media folder ( Make sure you correct the permission)
3. Copy the PowerOn.ogg on system/media/audio/ui (Make sure the permission is correct)
4. Reboot and no more At&t Crap bootanimation
UPDATE: Added shutdown animation of stock international
1. Unzip the folder
2. Copy the shutdown.qmg to system/media folder Make sure the permission is correct (now on at&t just removed the shutdownloop.qmg not sure if that file is present on t-mo but you can remove it or just transfer it to your sd card)
3. Reboot and you wont have the loop circle animation when you shutdown your device
Thank you sinichi21! Works perfectly. Finally rid of the last att crapware on my Straight Talk device.

Thank you sir! I was trying to get rid of the AT&T boot animation before through Rom Toolbox but it just made my lockscreen flash on/off. This is a cleaner solution.
I opted to not use the sound file, but renamed the stock one to PowerOn.bak and now I have a silent boot.

Long press the .apk you just pasted and select PERMISSIONS and make sure you change permissions to match the original such as rw-r--r-- in this case. Make sure you do this for each .apk you paste so it matches permissions for the apk you are replacing.
wow it works awesome.. I just tried it on my bro's note 3.. thank u very much...
Wow thanks for the post, always thought this would be a little trickier. Don't know why people risk flashing "unknown" .zips to try and do this when all you gotta do is move a few files around but I digress. As a quick side note, for anyone wanting to ditch boot sounds, the 'poweron.ogg' file can be renamed to 'nopoweron.ogg' or even removed to avoid boot sounds with any animation
Sent from my SM-N900T using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
I originally posted this over on the forum for the T-Mobile specific version, but there's no reason it wouldn't work on other Note 3's as long as it is rooted and has CWM or TWRP. It is possible to get this to work without a custom recovery (aka w/o flashing) by doing it manually...The phone will still have to be rooted and you will need a file manager capable of root browsing, I prefer ES File Explorer but any would work.
Open the zip file and extract /system/bin/bootanimation and /system/media/bootanimation.zip.
Put bootanimation into /system/bin/ and bootanimation.zip into /system/media.
CHMOD /system/bin/bootanimation to 0755 (-rwxr-xr-x).
Reboot and enjoy!

I whipped up a CWM/TWRP flashable ZIP to enable the Android L boot animation. Flash tmo_kk_androidl_bootanim_n900t.zip if you want to leave your current boot sounds, and flash tmo_kk_androidl_bootanim_n900t_nosound.zip if you want the script to rename the PowerOn.ogg and PowerOff.ogg.
This script will backup the original /system/bin/bootanimation so you can easily revert the changes.
I tested this on my N900T running EffortLess ROM Rev 6 (NF1) w/ Aurora Kernel, though I'm fairly sure it would work on other ROMs/variations.
Enjoy!

If you would like to reset your boot animation and undo the changes this zip made simply flash the tmo_kk_androidl_bootanim_n900t_reset.zip. It will restore the backups it created and remove the files it installed. I would like to know if you're able to get it work on Note 3's other than the SM-N900T I have.

Yes, I know its the stock sound. To my knowledge the Android L boot animation does not have sounds. I'll see if I can find some and add them to the zip. If you would prefer no sound try the _nosound zip file. It renames the power on/down sounds so they won't be played.

Has anyone got this to work? Mine does nothing when I select it for current location. Weird.
Not sure either, I think it only animates when the weather is rain. Although there is a mod in the verizon dev forums that enables animation for all weather variants but I'm not sure if it works for ATT.

I just installed this and works a peach, I now have a sunshine animation, yay.
for those who are going to be confused by this, it's a flashable zip, which since we don't have a proper recovery, doesn't do us much good (although the fake recovery should be able to flash this, I haven't tried it)
you can open the zip and remove the apk and odex files and manually install them, reboot, and you'll be greeted with a lock screen animation for your weather. Tested and working.
Note: if you lock the screen before rebooting, systemui will continually crash
Yea I forgot to mention that you need to delete the odex and replace the apk with that one from the OP in that thread. That's the way I did it even with us having the recovery. Glad you got it working.

It's actually called LGKeyguard (why that is, I couldn't tell you). That is the correct .apk and .odex file, I just tested it out and it does work. I just renamed the 2 in /priv-app with a .bak extension (LGKeyguard.apk.bak for example) and moved the 2 new ones from the zip file into the folder. Just make sure to set the permissions the same as the rest of the files in the folder. Once you get the files in there, reboot and you should see the new animations.
When I download it, it only has the apk in the zip, not the odex. Are you leaving the original odex intact?

No, the one I downloaded had both the apk and the odex file. Make sure you download it from the post that specifies it's for the stock/odex ROMs, and not the one from his OP.

in theory it shouldn't matter, when you reboot if there's no odex it should make one, and if the odex is wrong in anyway it should remake it. so really as long as you get the apk in the right place with the right permissions and reboot all should be be fine ( the apk from the odex version, I think this might matter)
Worked great, thanks
