Hey I recently bought a Note Edge, in its Live Demo Mode, I want it to have a normal software, without those RetailMode stuff, I dont know which software I should download as the model, according to the phone, is SM-N915x, but I haven't found any so for this specific model. Now I am downloading this one; N915TUBU2BOK1_N915TTCE2BOJ1_TCE, hoping that any software for SM-N915 will make this phone boot. Right now, it just keeps saying that Firmware Upgrade encountered an issue. I really hope you can help me please.
Did you ever find a solution
ı thınk you must ınstall cpuz and get info .if your cpu is qualcom or snapdragon try install twrp on twrp manager and try roms.

Hi!
I have a galaxy s6, model SM-G920F/SM-G9200. When I'm pushing volume- with power with home, it gives me chinese recovery. When I'm pushing volume+ with power with home, it gives me an upside down menu, with 3 options: recovery (real one but it says no command), fastboot mode, and normal reboot. From my experience with xperia phones, the fastboot mode it's probably the only way to install stuff like rom/kernel/recovery/root on it. So, no download mode and no stock recovery mode.
Someone had this problem and know what I need and can do in order to install rom, or stock rom?
Thanx
Please? Anyone?
Flash this ROM via odin.
http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/50128/G920FXXU2POG3_G920FVFG2BOG1_ATL/
But that exactly the problem. No download mode=no ability to flash roms via odin. Instead of download mode, I got this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tdc5SnSmx1I
so, what can I do?
Please someone answer me? anyone who had this device? please it's a fake one, and it's no breake mode. Someone please help
In that case you have a fake S6. Return it to the seller or sell it yourself and buy a true S6 from an authorized Samsung store.
Not helping. It isn't the time to joke around
Wtf dude, just install any phone info app. For exemple CPU-Z and check what hardware you have. Someone wanted to sell me a fake S6 once, it had a mediatek SoC instead of the Exynos.
As have been mentioned your chinese S6 does not have the same hardware as the real S6 so it wouldn't work to install a Samsung ROM. Your device is most likely based on a Mediatek chipset. I've seen a modded S6 ROM for Mediatek here:
http://mtkcrom.blogspot.se/2015/07/galaxy-s6-custom-rom-for-mtk6582.html
I suppose this could be the ROM already on your phone, but if not it could be worth trying to see if wifi/bt works better (if you are on compatible Mediatek hardware!!!). Maybe you'll also find info on how to install ROMs on this kind of hardware.
Post back if you find anything useful to help others on the forum!
If your s6 dont have download mode using volume down power button and home key i think its fake...
AndroIDentity is an app that can tell the real ID of a device. If run on a fake phone it will not be recognized as a genuine one, and if the fake is on its database, it will tell what the real manufacturer and model it is. Besides, it also identifies several other hardware and software parameters (such as the presence of Knox, JAva VM runtime, memory, screen size, and several other parameters) that will also help identifying if the device is Genuine or not. AndroIDentity recognizes 15,950 devices.

Don't flash Samsung Roms on fake phones it will die
Hi guys,
I was hoping someone could help me out. I have rooted before (long time ago) but I can't seem to find a lot of information on this specific phone (SM-J727S). I have been searching online (and across many dodgy looking websites, thanks No Script!) and this is about all that I have found:
The Galaxy J7 is also known as the Galaxy Wide 2 in South Korea
http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=device&id=11601&c=samsung_sm-j727s_galaxy_wide_2
It was released on May 2017, runs Android 7.0 (Nougat) and uses the Exynos chipset
TWRP has a release for the J700 series but I'm not sure if it would work on the J727S
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxyj7exynos.html
The source code for the system has been released, but I couldn't find a stock ROM (which made me reluctant to try TWRP)
http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=j727s
This is the closest I got to a Stock ROM but I don't trust the site, is this site trustworthy? (again, I came across too many dodgy sites to just download anything)
https://stockromupdate.com/2017/07/26/stock-rom-sm-j727s-samsung-galaxy-wide-2/
The KingRoot method currently will not work and is asking me to wait for an update (phone is probably too new to root?)
The closest thing I can find on this forum are these posts (but none reference the J727S model)
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/development/root-sm-j727p-galaxy-j7-perx-td-lte-t3611202
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/root-sm-j727p-galaxy-j7-perx-galaxy-j7-t3598117
So, I'm hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance
I'd thought I'd mention that the bootloader is unlockable in this phone. I had read elsewhere that other people cannot access the 'OEM Unlock' option on their version of the J7. It isn't the case with this phone
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-j7/help/galaxy-j7-pop-galaxy-halo-t3647805/page2
I also got a message from Google talking about my accounts being accessed by a 'J7 Pop'. I guess the Galaxy Wide 2 is also known as the J7 Pop?
So, I'm still on the track of rooting this device. I'm just gonna update any relevant stuff here.
The closest TWRP that I can find is for the 2016 version of this phone, it has the same Exynos chipset.
I'm thinking of trying this, but are there any problems with flashing the wrong version of TWRP? (Will I brick the phone? Or will it just error-out on recovery and boot normally?)
https://twrp.me/devices/samsunggalaxyj72016exynos.html
I also found (what I believe to be) the Stock ROM for this type of phone, you have to sign up to the site in order to download it. It is specific to SK Telecom (Korean telecommunications provider)
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/samsung-galaxy/SM-J727S/SKC/download/J727SKSU1AQD6/172065/
If someone can advise about going forward with the similar TWRP version I'd appreciate it. Cheers!
EDIT: Kinda answered my own question, from the TWRP download page https://dl.twrp.me/j7xelte/
Downloading an image for a different device, no matter how similar, usually does not work.

Any way to request an TWRP version?
I am Korean, and it's very hard It's angry me............................
XDDDD I'm from South Korea too and the J727S is customized with the Knox Enrollment Service that blocks the wifi and cellular data AND apk installization. (trying to uninstall it )
I found this: https://www.androidinfotech.com/2018/02/root-samsung-galaxy-wide-2-sm-j727s-nougat.html
anyone habe twrp for this model ????
Hi.. I've this model also.. tried to downgrade..but it can't..always failed
My friend was installing the twrp to root a J7 metal.
Now the cell phone does not restart, and I do not know what the **** it did KKkkkkkkkkkk
It wants to remove the twrp without formatting the device.
If installing the original rom by Odin using home_csc does it return to normal without formatting?
Restore

Hello everyone,
I have bought a used Samsung Galaxy S8+ from China. I have been using it for a few days and i havent noticed anything odd. I don't know the phones origin or for how long has it been used before I got it.
It is running on Android 7.0 (Nougat). Since this is an older version of android I've been thinking to update it to Android 8.0 (Oreo). But I know that the phone doesn't have the originl ROM installed on it since I am not able to update it from the settings app and I also noticed that Knox was tripped in Odin mode.
This is the part which confuses me: if i enter Odin download mode there is a section which tells you your model number, and for me it says SM-G955N but if I look at the back of the phone or in the settings app it says SM-G955FD.
I was planning to download custom ROM and just simply install it via Odin app on my pc.
I'm just worried that I don't mess up something on my phone since the model numbers don't match up. How do I install any software update from this point and does the missmatching model number influence it?
I would very much appreciate anyones help, thanks.
Hello Everyone!
So today something really interesting happened with me...... I'm feeling okay but i'm kinda nervous too.
I had rooted my phone earlier and flashed Lineage OS but i was encountering lots of problems so i tried to flash phone's firmware with odin.
My phone was Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro. I installed a firmware file and flashed it. But unfortunately, the firmware was of Samsung Galaxy On7 not Samsung Galaxy On7 Pro. When, i installed it, i encountered a DRK error! Then, it took me to Stock Recovery. From there, i wiped cache and internal storage and rebooted. It somehow worked very correctly. But now whenever i reboot my phone, i get Galaxy On7 logo not Galaxy On7 Pro. I don't know what happened but it's a MIRACLE of Android.........!!!!!!!
So, my queries are as follows:
Now, i'm stuck on Android Lollipop (5.1.1). There is a OTA update available within the system because it says its official now. What if i update? Will it even update? Or it will brick because phone model is different and firmware is diffrent?
Will it run smoothly in the situation where it is? (Note: I have not encountered any issues till now. Both Software and Hardware work well)
So, Miracles can happen in android world as happened with me.
Glad to hear you were able to unbrick your phone!
First a warning, I have no experience with your particular phone. But, I would think your update would go through. Usually the Pro and non-pro models are very similar and that is why your firmware worked. There might be some weird functionality in some areas like the camera or modems.
So, you can try the update. Worse case, you flash the On7 Pro firmware instead of the non-pro version again.
Well, the software updated and worked. No issues at all.
But i'm still confused how did it even work........
Anyway, i'm back to Marshmallow (6.0.1) again.
Everything works fine. I tested most things and all work correctly. I think Samsung just gave 8GB storage in non-pro version and 16GB in pro version and software is same xD
I also got new bootanimation and phone turn on sound from that
Moreover, i ordered a new Samsung M31 as i wanted more storage
But problems on older phone are also solved
Now, i will keep 2 phones
I bought this China Version of S 22+ ultra I can’t find the firmware for it I’m trying to flash it and change boot animation. Alps phone and firmware. I can find all kinds of firmware on Alps but I can’t find this exact one: alps-mp-qo.mp1-v9.196.1

I thought of an idea to flash the device with the original Samsung rom but somehow i have bricked it and won't turn on anymore and i cant find the right rom for it as the name of the device is not showing up with a rom when I do a search online. although it does show up with a scatter file. can anyone help with this?

Fake/Clone p40 pro
Hi folks! Recently I've bought a p40 pro clone that is driving me crazy. I can't barely use it as all the tweaks to make it look like a better phone are provoking some apps to fail. The about phone screen says that is a p40pro (without spaces)...
