Hey guys, I'm in a big dilemma Just to tell that I really didn't found suitable sub-forum for posting this topic, so I'm sorry if it's in the wrong place.
Right to the question, I can get one of the phones for really small price, but there is something that I can't understand .
Which SoC is more powerful? Snapdragon 410 is 64-bit but as far as I know, 32-bit Android is used in Galaxy a5(not 2016), I really don't know why. I searched comparison between Snapdragon 410 and S3 Lte SoC (I don't remember the exact Exynos model), but I really didn't understood something . This is my main question, I can understand the other specifications.
Just to mention that whatever my choice is, my next phone will use cm13, both phones have it.

Hi
I need a cheap and very good
Chosen on two phones:
Zopo zp900
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-...l-Core-1GHz-5-3-IPS-Screen-960/632063190.html
And
newman n1
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Preo...-0-os-4-3-IPS-960-540-1GRAM-4G/609746252.html
But I don't know who is good??
Please advise me a good phone and its price is low ??
They both seem to be Samsung variants. The first seems to be akin to the S3 while the second is more comparable to the S2. Based on that alone I would go for the S3 variant as it seems to be the more powerful of the two. Ultimately it will depend on what you plan to use it for...
Please use the sticky in this section for all phone decision questions. Thread closed.
Hey Guys,
in this thred i want to ask you if someone has an idea what device i should buy.
My requirements are:
- IR Blaster (to use my phone as a remote via voice commands with the Smart IR Anymote App)
- High End Specs like the Snapdragon 801 o. 805 at least a full hd-display
and very important the ability to root the phone and flash roms like cm
I searched long but i didn't find the "killer" phone.
Is there a chance that the Nexus 6 (which will come hopefully tommorrow) meet my wishes?
Sorry for my bad english
And yeah i tried a One M8 but i had some problems with getting S-Off.
Thanks

Hello there,
Please restate your question in the **DEVICE SUGGESTION THREAD** -- Not sure what device to buy? Ask here! thread. It is not necessary to create a new thread for this type of question when there is a whole thread already dedicated to this topic.
Thanks.
Hello all. I am unsure if this question belongs in this sub-forum. I have been through the QUESTIONS DO NOT BELONG IN GENERAL post, but i think this is not a Q&A.
So the reason i have this question is that im at a standstill. I was set to buy the Nexus 6, but the size and price made me change my decision.
Anyway, now i have rethink and im undecided between the Nexus 5 and the Oneplus one. The main reason im undecided is related to roms and software.
By looking at the N5 sub-forum here in XDA i see thousands of posts when compared to the OPO. I am worried that even though being a bit less heavy spec-wise the N5 might keep more developers working on it then on the OPO. Therefore more roms and software for the future.
Related to hardware i know the opo has better specs. Rounding up the HW differences what makes me undecided between the two is the RAM and the better battery life.
So iam currently stuck between these two phones and ill have to make a decision soon, i will be buying one of these in about two weeks.
Thank you for everyones help.
Best regards
you can go for samsung note 4 it`s so good
personally, between those two, I'd go with the Nexus 5 (just barely) for the exact reason you said: dev support.
Now if it was Nexus 6 and Oneplus One, I'd go Oneplus no question because of the price difference yet great specs on the One.
not matter what ,if i want to buy a new phone ,i will buy the latest
model for certain brand,if the latest model cannot satisfy my needs with their
price or size ,i will go for the latest model of other brand .that is my suggestion,
guessing samsung latest model is good .

The One Plus One is an exceptionally good piece of kit for the price and runs cyanogenmod which is a fantastic OS
Hello everyone and thank you for the replies.
I have decided to go with the One, i have been going through lots of forum posts lately reading from persons who changed from N5 to One, and in the bigger picture most ppl are calling it a good decision and a improvement.
It seems to me that the N5 is really a good phone, and imo its a better looking phone then the One, but following all my readings, the screen and the Ram in the One make a solid improvement over the N5.
Regarding my biggest concern, the software devs, well im just going to have faith in the One community. The device already runs one of the most popular roms and i have recently found out that the One is a supported phone for the franco kernel.
All in all i think im doing a good decision.
Right now im crazily sourcing funds to buy it, while i wait for my invite...
Choose OnePlus , it's a monster .
I personally like the Stock Interface more than custom UI's .
What made you choose this phone over the better 901F?
options
1 - What is the 901F never heard of it? (blame XDA for not adding section and media for not reporting it)
2 - I only buy the marketed phones.
3 - I am a developer and want to make money from donations so only buy the marketed phones.
4 - I just get what my carrier offers me.
5 - I prefer the S6 spec.
6 - 901F not possible to get where I live, otherwise would get it.
7 - other
I'm just curious... by what metric precisely is it that you're claiming the 901F is "better?"
what's the point of this thread?
I don't find the 901F 'better'.
The point is OP trying to convince himself his phone is better than the s6. Most likely he bought it not too long ago and is frustrated he can't get the s6, hence trying to convince people here that his phone is super awesome and that it deserves a subforum because it's too great to belong to the s5 sub.
PS : XDA people usually don't buy based only on marketing. But nice try.

Not so much frustrated about the S6 but rather lack of recognition by XDA.
But after the announcement of the S6 I am laughing, now I am glad I got this whilst it was the flagship of EE, as in my view the S6 is definitely an inferior phone.
The reason it needs a sub forum is that none of the S5 roms/kernels work on it, thats a clear indicator it shouldnt be lumped in the same section.
By the way you took the time to reply without answering the question? Its as if you think the answer is obvious or something.

If I may ask, why did you make this post? If you want a subforum for your S5, you should post in the S5 forums or contact a moderator. I really don't think this subjective "poll" to verify your phone's superiority was necessary...
If you want to talk about s5, please, go to the s5 forum
If that phone is so great then just keep it bud.
That's the thing

I made the post as I am curious what the mindset is of xda user's what makes them decide what phone to buy. As some phones get real popular, and others people barely buy.

Not sure if you've noticed this but XDA is a site for developers. We add devices based on developer interest, likely development (in upcoming flagships) or actual development (in lesser known devices).
That should answer your question.
Thread closed as the only point of this thread seemed to be to have a good moan (though that's what we British are known for so I guess I shouldn't be surprised)
I tried to tell you that the Galaxy S6 forum is the wrong place to identify which S6 clone I have,
You wondered whether my clone could be genuine. I don't understand why you thought this after i had told you that it is a clone. I then told you this.
On the S6 forum they have all identified that t is indeed a clone. Big surprise.
NOW: Is here no correct forum for HDC or Goophone?? Could be that you are a bit newer at this than me but over nearly a decade of flashing I have found that if you drill deep enough, there is a proper forum for pretty much everything in flashing. I thought that as moderator of this questions forum you would know which one it is?

Greetings,
As a SENIOR member of this site, one would expect you to be able to find your own way. Being that you have a cloned device that is CLEARLY unsupported on XDA, you were directed to the most relevant forum. Please re-read the sticky threads for this forum.
Thank you.
