Take a look at the thread for Temasek's unofficial CM11, some users have found that camera performs much better when the cpu is firing on all cylinders! *edited* It seems some other fixes, which I was already using are also required. Hey there I want to buy a Moto g 2013 not LTE. I've 2 questions for all the member:
1)his device will get android L?
2)the camera(front/back) quality is really bad as we read on internet and on review?

1) As far as I know, there's a not-so-bad chance that the Moto G will get Android L.
2) It's mainly because of the low quality built-in camera app. It's better to use an alternative camera app to take better pictures.

The stock app takes more normal pictures on manual focus ot at least it did during my test run.

1) Probably yes
2) The camera it's good but it's not a amazing quality
3) I recommend to you buy a LTE version 'cause he has a gyroscope sensor
I was curious, do we lose photo quality when using cm12.1?
I remember on my LG Optimus L90, the camera quality went sour after leaving stock, photos looked more blah and grainy.
Is that the same case on the Moto G 3rd gen?
I really love the camera on here and would hate to lose its quality aha.

You can test it your self, just take some photo's with stock cam and than switch over to cyanogenmod or any other rom
and take the same picturs. than just compare them
There was a port of stock Motorola Camera and Gallery app to CM12 in this forum somewhere and people say it give stock camera quality

Hi, I simply installed from the play store the Motorola camera on the CM 12.1 and now on the unstable CM13.
I used Open Camera on the moto g 2013, but on the 2015 the Motorola camera has a better feeling. There also a lot of options with the debug button.
I couldn't make out any difference between the stock and CM image quality. Similar results for me. YMMV.
Hello, I've recently got my MI4 LTE and flashed lineage OS, so far so good. I love how much extra storage I could get out of it, especially since I'm only using the 16gb variant. Anyways, the only thing I miss is the stock cam for the MIUI. I don't really record much in UHD, but I do use the front camera a lot for short vlogs, but the Lineage Stock OS only gives me a max resolution of 720p. Do you guys have any alternatives for the stock MIUI camera on Lineage? Or is there a way to bypass the resolution and enable 1080p video recording?
P.S. I'd like to ask the mods to move the thread to the appropriate section if necessary, I just found out about the themes/app section just now.

I find GCam mod workin on Lineage ROM to have horrible quality.
Is there any ROM or Mod offering picture quality similiar to stock Xiaomi Miui?
Is Miui EU offering stock camera with all the features?
Any feedback regarding decent photo quality on non stock rom appreciated.
