Samsung Standard Wireless Charger - Fake or Real? - Galaxy S6 Edge+ Accessories

I purchased two standard wireless chargers via a company who say they sell genuine products, both the items have exactly the same serial number, which after some digging appears to be only a 'batch' number.
Is there anyway to tell if these are genuine?
I've tried checking with Samsung support, but they couldn't tell me anything, they said it appears to be genuine, but couldn't say for sure!
Thanks

Yeah, if it's real there will be FCC ID on the back of the pad. Go to this link: https://www.fcc.gov/general/fcc-id-search-page. Scroll down until you see the purple search form. For the grantee code, if your FCC ID code starts with a letter, then type in the first 3 characters for the grantee code. If thr code starts with a number, type in the first 5 characters in the grantee code box. Then in the product code box, type in the rest of the code. If something appears it's real. Some people put fake FCC Id codes on the back, so always check.

[Q] BOUGHT A HTC Mobile, Arrived From Hong Kong. Some Concerns With IMEI and PACKAGE.

Hi fellas,
This is my first post in this site. I searched the website but I didn't find anything addressing my questions. Sorry if it has been asked before anyway.
I have recently bought a HTC phone and it arrived a few days ago from Hong Kong (I live in Australia).
The boxing of the phone was not sealed when arrived ( i.e. no seal tape). But in all the youtube videos I have watched, the boxing is sealed. Is this something I should worry about? (However the phone and everything else inside the boxing seemed almost neat when I got the phone)
I would also like to know how can I be sure if the phone IMEI number is not changed. All of us have heard some stories about IMEI scam. I checked the IMEI with *#06# and it was the same with the one on the sticker on back of the boxing. However, the sticker on back of the boxing seems a little bit abnormal (kinda fake) to me (maybe I am wrong though). I Just want to double check if everything about my new phone is alright.
Is checking imei through the "numberingplans" website is enough?
Should I check anything else to be sure of imei genuineness?
Help me, I am a rookie!
Thanks guys.
How much did you pay for it and what model is it advertised as? If it's too good to be true and it looks a little fake, it probably is. Do you have a link to that Youtube video? And the website you bought it from?

Almost 500 Dollars
I checked my IMEI number in https://www.numberingplans.com/?page=analysis&sub=imeinr and received the reply that my phone is most likely authentic.
BUT, I wonder if I can 100% trust the result of the aforementioned web page? And if no, how can I be sure about authenticity of my phone?
Does the above-mentioned web page checks if my phone is NOT
1) stolen/cloned
NEITHER
2) Fake
Email HTC, with your model, serial and IMEI number. Tell them your fears.
They will tell you who phone went to from factory.

Samsung Genuine Accessory Hell

Let this be a lesson to anyone before buying new or used accessories off of ebay.
I recently purchased a dock off of ebay and figured that i would share my experience. I have been buying and selling for years on ebay. This time I got bit.
I bought a dock and received it in the mail for my fascinate. The dock was actually the correct dock as well. I have one already at home and bought one for the office. As well the seller said it was covered by Samsung warranty for 1 full year.
I tear open the package, set up the dock, and go to plug my phone in and it will not. After inspecting around with the dock i realize the USB port is loose so the phone will not slide right in as it does on my other dock. and the phone actually sits off the dock slightly.
So it had the "1 year warranty from Samsung" Call up support and the tell my i need the hex number. Pull the hex number out of the phone and the guy tells me i need to power down the phone and get it from behind the battery. Ok. Fine. Hang up. pull the battery, and guess what same exact Hex number except in the phone software it shows an 0x preceding the rest of the number. I laughed and get back on the phone.
Now my experience gets fun... I speak to a rep almost immediately. she gets my hex number to validate i own the phone. Then puts me on hold says they will gladly replace the dock, but I need a receipt and Google payment will not be covered as an acceptable receipt. Ask to speak to a manager. Get put on hold for 25mins (most would hang up by now) Then a American speaking person picks up. He identifies himself as management.
He continues to explain that the policy for samsung states clearly any product must have a receipt to replace. He used the phrase "I must articulate that Samsung return policy states..." about 30 times. I then said you are telling me you do no honor your product. he said we do with a receipt. Back and forth several times, got no where. Ended up hanging up on him.
Moral of the story, if you buy off of ebay, your samsung warranty will not be covered for accessories.
I am highly irritated and amazed they would not honor their own product brand new out of a box because no receipt was with it.
Outcome: Even though the seller does not accept returns, I opened a case with ebay after he did not respond, and he is taking this one back and refunding me my money. So in the end it all worked out.
Honestly, I'm not surprised. With the amount of knock-off electronics products coming out of China, what's to keep people from getting an "OEM" dock off ebay that doesn't work, and getting it replaced with a genuine OEM dock via the warranty, costing Samsung thousands. By requiring a receipt, they can at least go back on the retail outlet you bought it from if they find that it isn't actually a genuine dock, but that's kind of hard to do with ebay.
Also, why didn't you contact the ebay seller about getting it replaced? That is the first thing I would have done, and if they wouldn't do anything, contact Samsung, and last option is dispute it via Paypal.
Yeah i have already contacted the seller and am waiting for a response. If i do not hear back by Friday i will open a dispute with ebay and paypal. His selling page clearly was false advertisement. But oh well it is always a chance you take when buying products off ebay. I am just glad i got it reasonably below retail cost.
Sucks to hear about your negative experience. You should always be careful in ebay and verify feedback and wording in the advertisement.
BTW American is not a language.

No but it is a dialect. So his statement is true.

Most warranties require the product to be purchased from an authorized retailer, and joe schmo on ebay isn't going to count...

Good deal, glad it worked out for you!

Yea if you buy though paypal and there is a dispute you'll get your money back 99% of the time. Paypal protects the buyers.

[Q] Safely Selling a Phone Online?

I want to sell a my Nexus S. I'm worried about getting scammed through Amazon/ebay, though. How exactly do I protect myself? Is there a particular shipping method I should request through USPS or just make sure it gets signature confirmation or what?
I'm guessing that taking pictures of the phone, the box, the phone in the box, the serial number on the phone and in the box, and the IMEI of the phone while it's booted up would be a good idea. Maybe I should record a video of me at the post office placing the phone in its box and then packing the box in the shipping box and shipping it?
I'd rather not have someone claim that they didn't receive it, or say that it was broken and then send me back a different/broken phone or a box of rocks.
Searched but didn't see a question like this around here.
Signature delivery confirmation and tracking should do it.
why not try craigslist? I buy and sell phones all the time through that, meet up at public places. I find ebay/paypal take too much of a cut, plus you gotta worry about shipping the item and all that jazz. Just meetup and be done.

The shop need my phone serial code?

Hello ?
I got my brand new z5 before yesterday and yesterday the shop keeper told me that he need to getthe sticker which the serial code is written when I asked him why he to me because he need it to give it to the sony local retailers to get his profits from selling the device to me
So is he scamming me? Or shall i give it to him?
I don't think there is any issue here. You're right to be cautious but I don't see what he could really do with the IMEI that could be malicious.
Seems weird to me :/ For the 3 xperia's i've bought never had to do this. Moreover this sticker is your proof that you buy the phone for sony and they ask it for example for cash-back offers. And sony can set up way more efficients ways to control retailers sells. Just pull out a sticker can be event if the phone was not sell. Maybe I'm too suspicious but I guess, if he lie, that he will wait for cash back offer and send this so he get the cash. He's maybe honnest but I find this very strange...
You've just given the entire world your IMEI number anyway just by posting that picture. Any decent barcode scanner (including ones downloaded onto a phone) can read that and give the user the IMEI.
So don't worry about it.

Risk of eBay Phones Where IMEI and S/N are Shared

Looking to buy a phone on eBay. Listed as sealed and brand new, unused and comes with 30 day returns, hundreds positive feedback etc
However, there are photos of the IMEI numbers and the serial number.
1) Is that a security risk at all?
2) Is there a way to check the s/n is ok, I.e. it's not reconditioned or stolen?
Both the IMEI and the S/N typically are unique for each Android device, will say can't be same on different devices unless they got changed - what is possible but illegal in most countries.
You can use an IMEI-checker on-line tool to get detailed info about a phone.
