Insert (not complete) with flash twrp and universal cust B112. Then it will complete.

Yeah I tried to just flash the KangVIP 6.0 by TWRP and my phone never got past the splash screen on startup. I then restored my backup and now several of my settings are all malfunctioning. For example, it says my phone only has 1GB of memory and that I'm on Android 4.3. It also says EMUI version 2.0. Time to start all over again.

That's just the cust folder missing your cust. Flash the universal B112 cust mod to fix that. You can't flash any Marshmallow roms unless you update to Marshmallow (B209) first.

Oh wow. Ok. Yeah, I read the instructions for updating to 209 but I didn't try doing that. I was on your last ROM and thought that I could just patch this one. I've got a couple of days off from work now and I'll go in and clean out my phone and do it correctly.
I really appreciate your ROMs and your support. On a side note, I've tried to create a new splash screen as well. I made a bitmap and changed it to a MBN file. When it was time to use the terminal emulator to load it, it always said file not found. I updated the properties and made sure that it was in the right folder but I never got a successful load message while in the emulator. Can you help me with that as well? I'm tired of seeing the Honor screen every time I turn it on. Thank you.

I think I may be able to update that through decompiling the boot.img. I'll look into it as kind of a project as soon as I have time.

+1 to replace that tedious honor screen

[EMUI 3.0][PORT] How to install EMUI 3.0 on H60-L04 International variant.

Hi everyone.
Today is the day I got my hands on a Honor 6 H60-L04. Today is also the day I tried to port EMUI 3.0 on it, and the day I succeeded. I had to find a workaround and a small trick using stock updater to do so, but it's 100% working as far as I know.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Unlocked bootloader. Because we'll use fastboot a lot here.
-A Honor 6 L04.
-fastboot command installed on your computer. Not going to explain it here, it's pretty easy to find by yourself.
THE METHOD:
It's pretty easy to understand. I discovered by trying that EMUI 2.3 factory images from L01 worked perfectly on L04, so I thought, why not use this as a base?
-Download EMUI 2.3 images for L01 here: https://mega.co.nz/#!Mk0VhI6K!V2su7wLGl8shiwxROOQnJ-t67S1DPL2vlTWuW3EeBsw
-Put your L04 in fastboot mode (turn it off, then hold volume down key and connect to computer)
-Use the following fastboot commands:
Code:
fastboot flash boot (path to BOOT.img)
fastboot flash cache (path to CACHE.img)
fastboot flash cust (path to CUST.img)
fastboot flash recovery (path to RECOVERY.img)
fastboot flash userdata (path to USERDATA.img)
fastboot flash system (path to SYSTEM.img)
fastboot reboot
Please also remember to disconnect and reconnect your phone to computer between each command. It refused to flash the next command everytime if I didn't disconnect it before.
-Configure your phone so that it's usable. This may not be required, but I did it for safety purposes.
So, now we're going to enter the interesting part: EMUI 3.0 installation.
-Download EMUI 3.0 official update for L01 from Huawei here: http://www.emui.com/nsp/geturl.php?path=H60-L01_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R001CHNC00B307.zip&rid=786
-Unzip the downloaded file. You'll get a folder called "dload".
-Plug your phone to computer (MTP mode is preferred) and transfer the dload folder to the root of your INTERNAL memory (not the external SD card).
-Go to Settings > Update, and choose "Local update"
-Agree to update your phone. It'll reboot.
-After a while, your phone will say that update failed. Sad, isn't it?
-Hit power key to shut it off, then reboot it.
And then you'll see that you are on EMUI 3.0. But it's not over yet. It should be okay by now, but as phone said, update failed. To get on the safe side, we'll make a proper fastboot installation.
-Download EMUI 3.0 images for L01 here: https://mega.co.nz/#!V003WQSA!JmEoL2bMQwVeDRlJJueWBX3haXYzo5aK8XeCUq7XLww
-Put your L04 in fastboot mode (turn it off, then hold volume down key and connect to computer)
-Use the following fastboot commands:
Code:
fastboot flash cache (path to CACHE.img)
fastboot flash cust (path to CUST.img)
fastboot flash recovery (path to RECOVERY.img)
fastboot flash userdata (path to USERDATA.img)
fastboot flash system (path to SYSTEM.img)
fastboot reboot
Please also remember to disconnect and reconnect your phone to computer between each command. It refused to flash the next command everytime if I didn't disconnect it before.
Your phone will now be rebooted on EMUI 3.0 fully functionnal. It'll show "H60-L01" in Settings > About, this is 100% normal. It doesn't prevent your device from being 100% functional.
If you experience problems with the icons being ugly, just go to the Themes app and apply stock theme (in the 4th tab of the app). It'll be fixed. You can now flash a custom recovery and install gapps and SuperSU.
EDIT: if you have an Android logo as bootanimation, it means your bootanimation.zip is missing. To fix this, just download ES Explorer from Play Store. Then, copy /cust/channel/cn/media/bootanimation.zip to /system/media/bootanimation.zip and reboot. It'll fix this issue.
EDIT 2: if your internal memory seems to have shrinked, you will have to reformat it in CWM recovery. Go to "Mounts and storage", then "Format /data and /data/share (/sdcard)". It'll be fixed.
Great find! Can you confirm the fdd lte bands 800 and 1800 mhz are working? Because the h60-l01 uses a different modem, baseband
---------- Post added at 09:44 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:52 AM ----------
The EMUI 3.0 rar from mega doesn't work for me, I just get an error
I can't confirm this, because where I live, I have no LTE. As I said on the L04 thread, I don't know if my method reflashes the baseband, but you can still download L04 stock rom and extract the baseband images with Huawei Update Extractor 0.9.8.0, and reflash them after you are on EMUI 3.0.
Also, what error do you have? Is it when downloading it or extracting it?
My error is "Temporary error, retrying" I will look in to extracting the baseband, my baseband version 21.204.00.01.031 K3V300R001C10B150_M1_p963

I see. You should maybe retry later.
Baseband version on mine with EMUI 3.0 is 21.211.00.03.031. Though, someone else on the L04 thread reported LTE is working.
Great! Just in case when I finished extracting I found this post

Is there a way to revert it back to stock? How do I manage it?
EDIT:
Got it working now. I used the MultiTool by VirusPlus and used the "Unbrick" Option. Just download the Stock ROM and extract the UPDATE.APP with HuaweiUpdateExtractor. After that, copy the files needed by MultiTool in the "Unbrick" Folder and then copy the Stock ROM folder "dload" into the root of your SD Card.
After that, get into fastboot (shut down your phone and hold down the Vol- button and connect an USB cable), and transfer the 4 files. Reset it afterwards while pressing all 3 buttons(power, Vol+, Vol-) and wait for it to install. It takes a while.
EDIT 2:
After trying 10 times, it didn't work. something messed up the phone and I can't overwrite the image. Now I'm stuck between L04 and L01 with SYSTEM of L04 and MODEM of L01. I can't get back on stock anymore, because I can't update my phone to the newest version.
EDIT 3:
Can somebody provide a "Stock" CWM-Backup for fullflashing the L04-Model?
Is it possible to replace the modem images in the update.app with L04 versions and reflash the update???
Sir, if I flash the firmware of China version will I be able to use Google aps
revert to stock
Starting situation:
I have a H60-L04 flashed with H60-L01 emui 3.0 rooted.
Download hihonor update for h60-l04 (emui 2.3) H60-L04V100R001C00B109SP01 from HIHONOR
http://7961b64fc16ad15a92ef-9f98f1ed...r6_upgrade.zip
Use huawei update extractor to extract the update.app
Create a backup using cwm (save it on your computer) along with anything else you want to save.
Use fastboot to flash the Boot, Cache, Cust, Recovery, System and Userdata.
Code:
fastboot flash boot (path to BOOT.img)
fastboot flash cache (path to CACHE.img)
fastboot flash cust (path to CUST.img)
fastboot flash recovery (path to RECOVERY.img)
fastboot flash userdata (path to USERDATA.img)
fastboot flash system (path to SYSTEM.img)
fastboot reboot
Use fastboot to reboot
I did this and now I'm on H60-L04 emui 2.3 V100R001C00B109SP01
note: My storage has shrunk, so I went into the emui recovery and wipe data and cache and now it's fixed

Yeah, but your modem stays on L01. To fix this, you need to flash the EMUI 3.0 FullROM for L04 after your steps.

Is it possible to get a SYSTEM DUMP from this ROM?
Thanks in advance

BRICK on HONOR 6(H60-L04), can't flashing ROMs

Following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/guide-workaround-running-xposed-t3338765 I accidentally deleted from /sys app, framework and priv-app folders, the device stopped immediatly and I only could boot in recovery(TWRP). I go on following the thread but at the end I was stuck in bootloop. Following the suggestion of mfbcool and other users i tried to unbrick the device but nothing worked: when I tried to reboot from TWRP it said "No OS Installed". If i try to flash from TWRP it fail, doing the update, after flashing the stock recovery, with the three buttons combination it stops at 5%.
As mentioned above the device is a Honor 6 H60-L04 which mounted android M(the official beta version).
Ok now we try somthing difftrent
Did you ever did a backup via TWRP ? you can restore now?
Else...
Download ADB/FASTBOOT (attachment)
In this zip is also Huawei Update Extractor
Download B550 Firmware (e.g. https://mega.nz/#!DB4R3YjT!Fp3JDf1WwmiyNX7mYD_Rftu0BDtXnorNaggOqpRouZU )
Extract via Huawei Update Extractor recovery.img, boot.img and put them in ADB folder
Reboot your device in recovery
Wipe all (dalvik /art cache, cache, cust, system, data, boot, internal memory)
Connect your device with your computer
Open ADB and type "adb devices"
Is your device listed? If not, download the right driver
If yes, type "adb reboot bootloader"
"fastboot flash boot boot.img"
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
Now reboot your device into recovery.
If you see the orginal recovery put the update.app on your sd card in dload folder an reboot your phone with the three button methode.
Now the update should start. It will take about 5-10 min.

i've already tried to flash other version of recovery, but the only two version that work are TWRP for EMUI 4.0 and the Stock of B803
Download the ROM you were on before all this happened. It's compulsory you're downloading the ROM you were on to avoid any compatibility errors.
Make sure you have installed Huawei HiSuite.
Extract boot.img , system.img , cust.img and recovery.img from the ROM you downloaded using Huawei Update Extractor.
Move all the extracted .img to the Fastboot/ADB folder (folder where fastboot.exe or adb.exe is installed)
While your device is powered off, hold volume down button and plug your device to computer. Your device will boot to Fastboot Mode.
Enter the following commands one by one:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash recovery.img
After all commands have been executed, unplug your device from computer and hold Volume Up button. Your device will boot to Huawei's eRecovery (2nd Recovery).
Shutdown your device via the eRecovery.
Now hold Volume Up and Power button. As soon as you see Honor logo, leave the power button but continue to hold Volume Up button. Your device will now boot to recovery.
Perform a Factory Reset via the recovery.
Now reboot your device.
Done!!!

Alright. That's the problem. You don't have the full ROM yet and the file you gave is an OTA zip. It's never gonna work.
But try my method again but this time with a Lollipop ROM EMUI 3.1 which you were having before Marshmallow.

I would go back to LP and clear install MM. So you could be sure you have a new and clear ROM installed.

Is your bootloader unlocked?
my bootboader show "phone unlocked"
What are you typing?
"fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
Is your recovery.img in the ADB / FASTBOOT folder?

Kangvip B211 to Stockrom B209

Is it possible to go back to stock rom from kangvip B211. I unrooted through supersu and on stock recovery. Tried forced reboot / recovery with stock B029 and B209. Both getting stuck at 90%. Somehow I lost the stockroom backup. Can someone help me or ideas ?
So first you need the following.
1. Clean B029 firmware.
2. Huawei Firwmare Extractor
3. ADB and fastboot
4. P8max TWRP
After you have all those.
1. Locate your Update.app from your B029 Firmware.
2. Use Huawei Firmware Extractor and extract the follow from your Update.App
boot.img , recovery.img, cust.img , system.img , cache.img , userdata.img
3. after rename all the files you have extracted from Huawei Firmware Extractor ( they should be called. "10.boot.img , 11.recovery.img .... etc") to the following:
"boot.img, reocvery.img , cust.img, system.img, cache.img, userdata.img"
4. So now you need to put those files in the exact place as your ADB and fastboot. So your FOLDER should look like the following:
ADB.exe
Fastboot.exe
"some ADB & FASTBOOT files"
boot.img
recovery.img
cust.img
system.img
cache.img
userdata.img
Also, put the updates.app file into your SD card under the folder "dload". So it should look like "X:\dload\updates.app"
After you have the following setup, do the following on your phone.
Make sure your phone is shutdown.
1a. plug in USB then (vol down + power) to boot into bootloader
** If your phone can not shutdown because you are in a bootloop**
1b. Make sure you have (hiSuite) installed, plug in your USB to your computer. Hold all bottoms till the phone turns off a vibrate. Then hold (vol down + Power) to get into bootloader
2. Use command prompt to go into your setup you have done at the top with ADB, fastboot and img files.
" cd c:\your\folder\here\p8max " for example
type "fastboot devices"
you should see your devices show up. If it doesn't then you have driver problems you have fix first or you don't have hiSuite installed. (Try re-installing hiSuite)
If you see your device show up, type the following
MAKE SURE EACH "fastboot flash" SAYS OK BEFORE DOING THE NEXT STEP.
type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
type "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"
type "fastboot flash cust cust.img"
type "fastboot flash system system.img"
type "fastboot flash cache cache.img"
type "fastboot flash userdata userdata.img"
If all are ok, you want to:
type "fastboot reboot"
This should restart your phone. You should be able to boot up your phone. Once you have your phone boot, your not DONE YET!
Turn off your phone, make sure the B029 update is in your SD card. (see example above)
turn back on your phone and hold (vol up + power) with NO USB plugged in. This should force your phone to force update back to B029.
Make sure you get to 100%. NOW YOUR PHONE IS FIXED! - it will reboot, then now you should be in b029
If you get stuck at 90% then you need to clean up your internal storage first.

How to reinstall stock rom!?

Hello
I unlocked my bootloader, then installed CWM, rooted then installed unofficial EMUI 4 ROM.
But I was EMUI 3.1 before...
So my Honor 6 didn't work after that and never couldn't boot the ROM
When I try to install CWM again by Multi-Tool, flashing error says that I need to check the confirmation dialog on my device but I cant't access to my device because there is no ROM :|
I installed EMUI 4 stock recovery and now what can I do for reinstall the rom -_-
Is there any way at all?
Have you tried downloading EMUI 3.0 stock ROM and using the three button method after placing it on your SD card? which is power + vol up + vol down?
In order to get back to full stock ROM follow these steps, since you already flashed recovery of a build number I don't know, do it again by following the procedure:
Download your phone's latest firmware and extract system.img, boot.img, recovery.img, cust.img from UPDATE.APP using Huawei Update Extractor tool.
Flash recovery first, using this command.
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
Flash all other extracted files similarly firing these commands.
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash cust cust.img
fastboot flash system system.img
After doing this put that very UPDATE.APP from which you extracted the files in dload folder of your external SDCARD.
Switch off your phone, and press Vol UP + Vol DOWN + Power button simultaneously.
Your device will now get to the full stock firmware.
Enjoy your out of the box device..!!

Hi Digicoon,
I tried your method to restore to stock ROM after successfully installing KangVip Rom.
Actually this custom rom was intended for Mate7, but beeing a simple port from Honor6Plus (as stated by the developer) I installed on my device without any problem. The only thing I noticed was that my device was no more a Honor6Plus PE-TL10, but a DUK-AL20 which I think is Mate7 model number, right?
The ROM works good but I wanted to revert it back to stock.
Anyway, I tried downloading the kitkat stock rom for my Honor6Plus (it should be PE-TL10_EMUI3.0_Android4.4_V100R001CHNC00B260.zip) , extracted the UPDATE.APP and the four files you stated above, flashed them via fastboot and then put the entire dload folder inside the root of my SD card.
The phone hangs on the boot screen and then boot loop... no way to restore it.
I reverted it back to custom rom (via nandroid backup), even tried to flash the stock recovery.img to use the "Three buttons method" but with no luck, every time it stucks on boot logo and bootloop.
Do you have any idea what could it be? Maybe a "partitions" problem, due to different model number?
Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas
Also work for rooted L04 (TWRP) back to lollipop?

Honor 6x stuck in Recovery

Hey Guys,
I've tried to root my phone and while falshing the TWRP Recovery an Error occured.
Code:
C:\adb>fastboot boot twrp.img
downloading 'boot.img'...
OKAY [ 0.754s]
booting...
FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)
finished. total time: 0.763s
So I thought I could exit the menu by typing "fastboot reboot". Now I'm stuck in in that startup window "Your device has been unlocked and can´t be trusted" and have 3 options:
(1) Press Power Key to continue.
(2) Press Vol...
(3) ...
If I press the power button its just rebooting and everything starts from beginning and if I'm trying to recover it my phone cant connect to the wifi "Getting package info failed".
HiSuite and usb debugging aren´t working.
Did I broke my Phone or is there a way to fix it?
Sorry for my bad englich ^^.
Thank you! Musark.

It's usually because your bootloader is still or again locked.

Everything was fine until I wanted to boot my phone.
At least i want to use my Phone.
I rode a lot about dload but I've only found tutorials where i need access to my phone.
Could someone give me a link for a tutorial?

It's because the tutorial you followed is wrong when it comes to flashing the twrp recovery. It seems like you flashed the recovery image to the wrong partition (boot).
If you want to install a custom rom:
1. Put your phone into fastboot mode
2. Use the command: fastboot flash recovery twrp.img
3. Flash any custom rom
If you want to get the stock rom running again:
Way1:
1. Download the right stock recovery for your phone (marshmallow recovery if you want to flash marshmallow and nougat recovery if you want to install the nougat stock rom)
2. Put your phone into fastboot mode
3. Use the command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
4. Download the right firmware for your phone and extract the files
5. Create the "dload" folder on your external sd card
6. Put the update.app from the extracted files into your "dload" folder
7. Power off your phone
8. Hold volume up + volume down + power button until the honor logo appears. Wait until the phone boots into stock recovery and installs the stock rom.
Way2.
1. If you know which version of stock rom you had installed, e.g. B360 you can download the same firmware version again.
2. Use huawei firmware extractor to extract recovery.img and boot.img
3. Put your phone into fastboot mode
4. Use the command: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
5. Use the command: fastboot flash boot boot.img
6. Reboot your phone (fastboot reboot)
In general you can also install any rom via fastboot:
