[Watchface] Gem Koi: Koi fish chasing the time - Wear OS General

Hi guys!
We just released a Watch Face app that features a couple of Koi fish pushing gems around to show the time. The concept is simple: the two fish will take turn to push the Second gem every 5 seconds. There is no number (except from the date at the center), so you can tell the time by looking at the gems (and the lotus )!
Here is a 3-second preview video:
Link to the app: http://bit.ly/GemKoi
This is a Preview release of the app. At the moment, there is only one theme, and we're working on more. This version is completely free (it does not contain any In-App purchase product as of now). We might release a Pro version some time in the future. Just give us some feedback!
Regards,
Tony @ Teragon

Your watchface is great, it s the only one I like as starwatch. If you add some feature like carp colour, digital or analog clock, phone and watch battery status , metro or something else I will buy it for sure.

@Axel85, thank you for your suggestion! We are working on other themes for the carp and background at the moment. We will try to find a way to add other elements such as battery status or notification count in a way that is subtle and able to maintain the minimalistic style of this watch face. If you have an idea on this, send me a message

[App+Widget+LW] 1010ti.me

I'm finishing a 2 month polishing in my app suite (D'Clock Live / Gold / D'Watchmaker) and I'm in final pre release phase.
The app is an analog clock editor that you can use as a full screen clock, a Live Wallpaper or a Widget 2x2 or 4x4. The clock can show time, battery, wifi and GSM signal for now with much more to come.
Feel free to drop by the app site at http://1010ti.me and try it. I'm also attaching the last version.
Every feedback would be more than welcome as tests were made mainly in Samsung Galaxy S and ZTE Blade.
Looks very nice, I will definitely check it out!
Thanks karyney. Feel free to drop me an email with your thoughts and questions (pmduque on gmail)
Download and installs fast...some nice looking clocks! Will report any issues. Htc incredible.
HTCInc-redibly re-ENGINEERED
Try the editor ( menu on main app screen and choose editor). That's the fun part!
It works nice on my Nexus One on stock GRI40. I don´t like the link under the clock to the website; if you click on the clock, sometimes that launches the website.
Not a bad choice in an overloaded clock app's market.

1010ti.me just went live! Look for it in Android market!
I just want to leave some screenshots from the application. As it's a LiveWallpaper, a widget, and a full clock editor, it's difficult to have it explained in still pictures...

My first Clock with 1010ti.me
First to say: Very good work, now my favourite clock! Thanks!
Used D'Watchmaker before and just tried out the new 1010ti.me
Made my first clock with battery indicator, here's the upload. Maybe somebody likes it.
Works pretty good so fare. Some FCs, but seems to be fixed with last update.
Things for the Wishing Well:
Adjusting the angles and positions is a bit tricky with the sliders.
It is hard to get objects fit together, if you want to create something off the middle (e.g. the battery indicator in my clock).
I would like to have an alternative input method, were I can insert numbers of the angles and position literally with the keyboard.
It would be nice if the widget automatically fits its size to the given area (e.g. with ADW-Launcher you could change the size of the widget). I have seen this behaviour with other widgets, so it must be possible
Edit: Posted Clock on 1010ti.me
Hi Jan,
Thank you for the feedback. I really like your clock. Don't you want to post it on the site?
Regarding your wishing well, in the actual version you have three options while dealing with sliders:
- use the slider itself which is good for the first crude placement;
- use the up/down volume button, good for fine adjustment;
- long press the slider title: a popup will show asking for numeric input, which is great for copying values from element to element.
I know this is "hidden" info but now that the release is out, I'll have time to sort out a user guide.
Regarding the autofit, I'll look into it
Hi Pedro,
Thanks for the quick answer. (I normally sleep at that time )
I will tweak my clock, now I know how to do it accurate, then post it on your site.
But I noticed after charging, that the battery hand pointed to 0, should be 100.
Don't yet know, if it is my design issue...
Edit: Setting „Hand divisions“ to 101 does the trick.
Btw.: Phone is Motorola Defy.
For the battery you need to invert the initial and final angle (so that for ex. a 1/4 circle, the initial angle should be 90 and the final 0). That's because the higher the battery goes the closer to the top you want it.
Did that help?
I just set the “Hand divisions„ to 101. Because the direction was Ok, the hand points correctly to 10, 20, ... 90. Just at 100 it pointed to 0. Which would be OK with a full circle .
But now it works fine.
The Defy gives the battery level in 10% steps, so it stays long at 100.
The 1% value is there, but in a different file.
Here is the first independent review of 1010ti.me (http://android-walker.com/?p=5706).
It's in Japanese but it has a nice walkthrough video that gives a good overview about the app.
Always nice to see Portuguese devs out here, cheers mate!
Trying your app right now... So far so good!
Very nice, coincidentally I installed this just hours before it was posted on the XDA RSS feed.
I really like the live wallpaper idea with custom background.
JanHimpIII's clock looks really nice too.
Edit: the import feature works great (straight from the website)
Downloaded and tried it on the Samsung Vibrant as well as the Huawei M860(Ascend) and they worked flawlessly. Great work! PMduque
I got a message in the middle of my LWP this morning saying 'grace period expired ,choose a free clock...'.
Thank you for all the comments!
Britose: the free version will display that message every 6 hours after activating one of the "non" free clocks (there are 6 free clocks stocked with the app). You just need to tap the clock and choose the "set as wallpaper" again.
The gold version does remove that restriction.

[APP] [Live Wallpaper] Motion Timer Live Wallpaper

Hi everyone,
I've put my first app up on the market:
https://market.android.com/details?id=org.anddev.wallpaper.motion.timer
Here is the youtube video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfADhuBjdnA
I would really appreciate everyone's feedback and impressions!
Cheers,
-=JK=-
I can´t watch the Video, because EMI has block this ?
Darn ... didn't realise how restricted that would be with a soundtrack on it.
Here's a video with no sound track:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JewxFD-zp3E
-=JK=-
Installed it and then set as wallpaper but no balls are displayed. Also there are no settings on the wallpaper. Am i missing something here?
Very cool looking...what happens if you shake it? =)
- Sent from my Motorola Atrix 4G -
Xee,
You should see some balls appear when you tap the screen.
When you get 32 balls on the screen subsequent taps cause mini-explosions.
It's a very simple wallpaper, so no settings yet. I might find something to set when I update it.
Obartuckc,
At the moment, nothing happens when you shake it
It responds to the accelerometer by changing the direction of gravity on all the balls.
I could look into triggering something on a shake ... what would you like it to do?
Cheers,
-=JK=-
I like what you've done with it thus far, whatever you do can only make it more awesome! I really like how if you add a new ball on top of others they sort of fling out...perhaps shaking it could make them pop or sort of explode? That'd be neat. Whatever you decide, keep up the good work!
- Sent from my Motorola Atrix 4G -
this totally reminds me of those liquid motion desk toys...
that's a live wallpaper i would like
That's great to hear PatcheZ!
That's exactly the feel I was going for.
I'm hoping to figure out a way to extend to something like these: http://www.officeplayground.com/Liquid-Motion-C23.aspx
It'll be a solid body physics sim until something as great as http://www.box2d.org/ comes along for fluids.
Cheers,
-=JK=-
Man, you got balls.
nice job with this
Thanks for the comments.
-=JK=-
I would've loved to see the video, but apparently you've used some music from EMI and they've blocked the video because of it. Could you reupload it without the (alleged) copyright infringing music track?
TheCreat,
Sorry about that. There is a link in the video description to this version which has no music:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JewxFD-zp3E
Hope you enjoy.
Cheers,
-=JK=-
This is a really cool wallpaper, thanks.
Very Nice, but once all of the balls have reached the top or bottom of the screen there is nothing going on.
Could the ball toggle their state after they have been at the top or bottom a certain amount of time?
For example: after a blue dropper is at the bottom for x seconds, it becomes a green floater and floats upwards and vice versa.
Thanks for the feedback guys, great to hear.
Spauldio,
When you change homescreens the gravity should switch ... which will make all the balls start to fall and float again!
Cheers,
-=JK=-
PS - I'm using the onOffsetsChanged method to accmplish this behaviour - http://developer.android.com/reference/android/service/wallpaper/WallpaperService.Engine.html#onOffsetsChanged(float, float, float, float, int, int)
- but it seems a little inconsistent in when it's called ... sometimes called on "half" changes to the homescreen. Haven't been able to figure out how to make it robust ... I just switch the gravity flag when it's called.
Version 1.1 !!!
Updated to version 1.1
I've kind of combined suggestions from Obartuckc and Spauldio. I've added a shake control, so that when you shake it gravity is switched and the balls all start flowing up and down again.
Hope this goes down well
Cheers,
-=JK=-
Hey, just installed this, it's great! But how's battery life?
Thanks NickHu!
I haven't noticed any difference in battery usage to previous live wallpapers I have used.
Is there some benchmark I can use to gauge battery usage of my app?

[GAME][FREE] Flicky Circles - Simple, fast and thinkful

Hi guys,
I have released a game called Flicky Circles. Flicky Circles is simple, fast and thinkful android game to play with your friends or against a computer. Originally inspired by OLO. Flicky Circles is free in a small size apk. Give it a try. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you for your support!
About:
Each player starts with 6 circles in 3 different sizes. Circle gets smaller each time it lands on player's starting point (white color). Goal is to flick your circles into same colored ending zone and achieve more points than opponent. With two or more same sized circles, player gets a bonus point...
Supported:
- any resolution from 320x480 - 1080x1920
- android 2.3 and higher.
More details on google play:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.goranhorvat.flickycircles
FB fan page:
https://www.facebook.com/FlickyCircles
I hope you will like it.
I would like to have some opinions about Flicky Circles. Have you tried? Is there "missing" something in the game and would make it more playable for you?
Very nice, really polished and a great interface. Fun game idea. The text in the help screen/intro could use some polish.
"Each player starts with an equal amount of circles representing their moves."
"Each circle gives the player a point when it reaches their colored zone. If 2 congruent circles are landed, the player gets a bonus point"
"Reach the colored space and flick away towards the opponents circles to defeat the opponent."
"Player captures the opponent's circle if it lands in their starting area. The circle becomes smaller."
"Lock button freezes circles in place for one round. It can only be used once per game."
Feel free to tweak those for brevity if you need to.
Also, on the game pause screen, the text doesn't change colors when you tap it like it does on the main menu. This kind of has a jarring effect because you can't tell if it detected your touch or not.
Thank you for helping me with words. I will update these things including pause screen UI in the next version.
Downloaded
This looks like a fun game. Just downloaded it. I'll take it for a spin this weekend and give you my feedback
Lookout flags it as adware
I've just installed it and Lookout pop's up a message "Flicky Circles" is adware
See attached screenshot
EDIT: it also gives this detail:-
APP REPORT
CLASSIFICATION: Adware.Android.Rev.Mob.a
This app may contain the RevMob ad network. It may create push notification ads that appear in your notification bar. It may not be clear to you that this application is creating these ads. It also may send personally identifying information, such as your email or IMSI, to RevMob’s servers.
Hi fangthorn, I don't use Lookout, so thanks for detailed explanation. I'll remove revmob from Flicky Circles within 24hours.
I had a quick go at lunchtime. I can see this being very addictive
Apart from the popup ad it's a fun game :good:
Looking nice
Games looking nice, but not able to play in my defy.
My defy is running JB 4.1.2 (Quarx), when I open game menu screen will come and when I press single or double player again it s return to main menu with different color, is this problem with rom r .................
Thanks
Hi navin, I don't understand exactly what kind of problem you have? Can you play Flicky Circles? Colors are supposed to change each play.
graylowes, thank you for your feedback.
I downloade it just for giggles, but i really like it.
Its simple and addictive. And the 2 Player mode on one device is
cool. i´ll play it with a friend the next days and see how they like it.
Good Job! Hope for more cool thing to come!
Great job!:good:
game play is very good, a little fast i think but very good!
improving sound tracks would be nice and if possible adding some effects like Menu sound effect in OLO
Looking nice

Hi, I tested it on Nexus 7 and it works fine. Never had a problem like that. Please send me a clip on PM, from app start to the end (back to menu) so I can take a look into it. Thank you.
B!GBOY & strainhunter thank you for your words. I appreciate it.
Currently no plan for sound fx. But in the near future, I will try to add some levels where you can build some flicking skills. I hope players will like it.

I find this wonderful game to be so easy, fun, yet still has some strategy to it to keep your mind going. Bite sized games, but I keep going back again and again and again. Fantastic job! Five stars! Thank you, very much.

Hi Harvey!
I'm a big big fan of OLO on iPad... and I was really missing this game on Android (and OLO devs clearly state they are not planning to dev their game for the android platform...), so I'm very very happy that you are here developping FlickyCircles... Very promising game, thank you
:good::good::good::good::good:
Just a a few questions:
1) could you add an online play mode? (hopefully not through facebook)
2) can you list all the differences vs OLO in terms of rules and counting points? (in particular coming from OLO, I'm a bit confused about captures (when and how))
3) I hate facebook (yes, I'm quite old fashion...) ... any other way to store and share high scores?
Keep the great work )
EDIT____________________________________
Ok, I've tested further and I don't like too much your capture method because:
1) the smallest circles can't be captured (thus limiting some strategic moves)
2) we end up playing with small circles only, which is also limiting because the small ones are much less powerful
I prefer the OLO capture method where all circles are not shrunk when captured but each circles can only be captured twice (circle that can no more be captured are flickering for a brief moment). Could you maybe offer this different capture method as an option?

I'm glad you like my game.
1. Not yet, but I'll spend some time in the future and try to implement it.
2. Please visit help in the game. All rules are listed there, except maybe that lives of the circles depends on their sizes. So therefore, the smallest circle can't get any smaller and you loose it if it lands on the white zone.
3. Currently no. I made sharing with facebook just for fun. If I want to add other sharing options, game would become much larger (in KB)...
But I'm thinking of having online scores inside Flicky Circles, if that's what you prefer?
Thank you Surfinette and ghostinrags!
thanks
Thanks for sharing

Gear Watchface Designer - What watchfaces have you or are you creating?

This thread is for designers to share their watchfaces created with the Gear Watchface Designer. Below are images of my first attempt with GWD called GlowingSportWatch.

First Attempt
I would post the very simple combination analogue/digital watch face that I'm currently using but I'm new here and can't post image links. Oh well.
I'm now working on a black watch face with spotlights that act as the hour and minute hands revealing the watch face as it goes. Probably works better in my head than in reality but it'll be different if nothing else.
If I can find the right images somewhere I might also try a background with a picture of the earth that rotates in sync with the time, or maybe one where you see the sun rise and set followed by the moon doing the same. So many possibilities...
Are these available for download?
My First Attempt with GearWatchDesigner
Here is a screen shot of my first attempt with using Gear Watch Designer. Just trying multiple features at the same time. Also fun to finally have control over the sequence of layers and the ability to stack graphic layers in-between other layers.
The design incorporates
6 Digital clock items:
Hour, Minute, Second stacked on left side. Day, Month, Date stacked on right side
5 Analog clock items
the three outside comets are analog hands for hour, minute, second as they move around the face.
And there are two other graphics of twinkling stars that move, one clockwise and the other counter-clockwise as "Second Hands" (counter-clockwise movement is really cool)
Plus two complications: Steps count at the top, and a Battery level graphic at the bottom.
As a newbie, I cannot post a link to the picture, but you should be able to decipher this.

I really don't see the theme here, you got an image of the visible universe in the background in a realistic style, but then you have those abstract streaks on the edges as clock hands, what are they supposed to be? why are they hanging around at the moment of the big bang? And then you have the minimalist numbers in the center, which again, thematically clash with the background. Plus you have the step count up there, which doesn't make sense for a space themed watch face, I mean who counts steps in space? The same can be said of the battery meter, it's usually only there for like utility themed watch faces because usually there's no reason to be worrying about the battery, unless you want a utility look to it.

Oops, sorry I failed to explain the reason for this. Not intended for anyone to actually use. Just a demo of the multiple capabilities of this as watch face design software. I am participating on a Google Community board about all things associated with Gear S and Gear S2, including watch faces. A lot of discussion about different development tools including Mr. Time Maker and Photo Watch Pro. Discussion about what these have, and what they don't offer.
Gear Watch Designer has most of the features people have asked for. So I put together this watch face to demo the ability to use digital, analog, animation, and complications.
Reminds me of the days when I put together plastic model cars from kits and the package included a sheet of decals which had flames, stripes, numbers, and other things. I once thought I was supposed to use all the decals, and I covered that car. LOL, what a mess!

I have avoided Error 78 by not using the command line "sbd install..." command. Instead I use the Run On Device command to install on my watch from the GWD software.
This is the one I made, It's both digital and analog, I intended it to be just for private use but if you guys like it I can try and upload it to the appstore.
Two so far. Just started last night

I spent some hours today creating a smart-replica of me beloved tradiciinal watch. I am not going to publish in it the store because of problably copyright infringements...

Hi all,
I'm a player of Ingress and I've made a watchFace themed on resistance color.
For those how knows Ingress, the resonators disappears with battery drain.
The portal is a shortcut to batterie status and the day send you ton the calendar.
What do you think about?
Here's a few I've done with both live and ambient modes. As you can see, I've managed a fairly dynamic ambient mode with several. I won't be uploading these to the store as they do not contain enough original content (the first one is a direct copy of Clay: Epoch which is just not available in the Gear store for me otherwise I would buy it). The second is taken from watchawear (called Opulence) and reconfigured for the Gear S2. A couple are more original, but even the logo I'm using wasn't mine (from Partickss at freekpik).
One thing I am struggling with is creating action buttons. I can create them and edit them by adding a battery complication and deleting images and using the action button to do something different (for example on most of mine, tapping the date triggers my schedule), but can't figure out how to do it by just converting an image to an action button. Any idea?

My Latest Watch Face and Problem
My latest project is running into a bit of a problem. As you can see from my testing screen shot, the text is all rotated. It appears that there is a bug with rotated text that is tied to data synchronization (heart rate, battery level, steps taken). I can rotate this text, build the project and test the project. However when I load to my watch, these three fields are no longer rotated. Also, if I quit GWD and later return to this project, these fields show no rotation.
Yes, I am saving my project. Yes, I am testing my project. Yes, the build is using the updated and saved project with the fields rotated. Just does not stick. However, the rotation of digital clock fields works just fine.
I have reported this problem on the Samsung designer forum.
What it should look like:

Custom watch face

Please let me know if I'm in the wrong section.
] I'm looking for someone who wants to develop a custom watch face for me. I have a moto 360 v2, but I am disappointed by the options available on google play. I have certain features that I want in a watch face, and while I can find all of them individually in different faces, I have yet to find all of them together. I don't actually care what the watch looks like, so long as I can get all the features I want in one face. I am obviously willing to pay a reasonable price for this service.
Features I am looking for :
Semi - circles around the watch face showing calendar events. I'd like to see multiple, overlapping calendars using Google calendar colours. I currently have bought several faces with semi circles displaying calendar events, but none of them show more than one event at a time and none of them show more than one colour, I frequently have overlapping events, and I want to see them at a glance and I want to see them in their proper colours.
4 dials around a digital time in the centre.
I'd like very very slender clock hands showing analog time, but I need to be able to see precise digital time at a glance. I'd like the digital time to be tap-able, so that tapping it brings up my agenda app.
The top dial should display the day and date, and when tapped, bring up any random app of choice (I want shazzam)
The left dial should show the current temperature and when tapped, bring up the next week's forecast.
The right dial should show steps taken, and when tapped open up google fit.
The bottom dial should show both the watch and phone battery status, and when tapped open up settings.
If this sounds like a viable watch face to you and you have the skills to create it, please contact me.
Thank you very much
Kyla

Watchmaker Premium is a fine program that I have been using to create my own watch faces.
It is easy to use and does the job properly, and most definitely worth the $3.99
I am not in any way affiliated with it's creators, just a happy user
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=slide.watchFrenzy.premium
I used watchmaker free, and was too limited, is the premium one capable of giving me what I described?
