Hi- I flashed Marionette's CM 12.1 Saturday. Yesterday the phone screen was off, slow to turn-on, with a flashing LED and battery meter showing 0%.
Plugging it in didn't make battery meter go above 0%.
A couple hours later it started rebooting (to the Alcatel Onetouch screen)- constantly- all night I believe, or until the battery ran dead.
I've mashed keys for a couple hours. I can get into Download but not TWRP.
The Mobile Upgrade app says it can't find any connected devices- same for adb commands from the Linux machine I originally rooted from. Any help?
I can't access any logs, because it's stuck in bootloop.
Misplaced post?

This is the right place, but nobody has a clue how only your device has this problem.
Flashing firmware with Mobile Upgrade Q is tricky, really tricky.
I had to hassle with making my PC recognize the phone for at least half an hour, trying out different combinations.
Sadly,I was mindlessly testing,so I can't remember what I did to make it recognize.
I think you have to enter download mode, hold the power button, or the volume button or both while connecting the phone.

Thanks! I can get the phone recognized by Mobile Upgrade, but the phone is in download mode (it turns on each time I plug in a usb cable).
Then the phone spontaneously reboots a little way into the upgrade.
well if you have a ps4 plug it in while its off it showed the battery charging screen so i went to my pc opened the alcatel mobile upgrade then i unlpugged from ps4 then to my pc and bam! it recognized it ^^ or some other method to get it charging while its off

Thank, you, but... whut? It may be charging. That's not the problem. It won't stay off when it's plugged-in, and the phone keeps restarting in the middle of Mobile Upgrade- causing Mobile Upgrade to freeze.
Hi Guys.
If device is rooted, Alcatel check that on Mobile Upgrade tool. At +/- 20% instalation stop and device reboot.
Regards.

Oh, ****. Guess there is no hope?
What would Alcatel do if I sent it in for warranty replacement? Could I get lucky and have them replace it?
What else to do with this phone? Sell it for parts?

I did have TWRP installed. Any chance it is still there after aborted Mobile Upgrade?
I have never been able to get into Recovery through hardware keys- maybe there is a combo/trick that someone know that could get me into recovery.
I've tried so many different ways...
Try this. Open the mobile Q app than plug in your phone usb. Now put your phone into download mode [power+volume up, down], download mod will appear. At the download mode screen hold UP until screen go black now just click upgrade. Remember your phone must be plug in before you put it in download mode. just did two days ago from aicp rom with no problem. Hope that help. I've never have any problem with my device[6045i] being rooted and restore thru mobile Q or maybe i just got lucky.

I had baseband firmware & imei Unkown issue, after loading the rom (Gingerbread 2.3.4 T959VUVKG4 ) via ODIN,
Then I guessed there should be a issue with the modem, then flashed different different modems via ODIN (ki1.tar.md5 / kh2.tar.md5 & etc) nothing worked for me...
then after reading a thread I tried above modem (kh2.tar.md5) + "T959VUVKG4" pit file combined via ODIN. phone went off never turned back...but now i could connect the device using following method:-
1. removing battery
2. plug cable + volup + down
3. plug battery
then it shows to DOWNLOADING MODE
however my PC doesnt recognize the USB driver it shows as UNKNOWN DEVICE in under Device Manager in my PC. I tried even reinstalling the Samsung USB driver no luck
any chance that i could get my phones life back ?
good news, i changed the cable then changed to another PC. then USB recognized via ODIN, I culd flash everything sucessfully
but the hard part is,,, i still have the UNKNOWN baseband & Imie issues, can someone instruct me what to do ?

I too have the same problem since this morning. I have Tmobile Samsung Galaxt 4G SGT959V and after rooting and downloading kernel files, it was only going to the T Mobile logo. Last night I was bale to get into the download mode and then I started downloading Gingerbread. Now my phone is not powering up. I called up samsung and as it under warranty, they are ready to fix. My problem is they will find out what I was doing and this might breach some samsung regulation. not sure???
I would like to know what should I do for getting my phone power on or in download mode. I have tried all the above mentioned steps, but it just not works. Duh!!
Please someone help!!
Rooting phone voids warrenty. Turn Odin on and then hold volume up and volume down at the same time and while doing that plug in your USB cable to get into download mode. Even if nothing shows on the phone Odin may still recognize it. Try it a few times if the first attempt don't work.

I tried doing this several times. But Odin dont recognize nor does my phone powers on. Do you think it drain the battery while rooting and downloading?
Try removing the battery first then, hold volume button up and down simultaneously then plug your USB cable its recommended you have Odin up and ready while your doing this. Make sure your battery is charged before you for any of this! Good luck ;-)

Phone isnt powering on... I dont even see battery icon when hooked to charger.
Your phone may be hard bricked as in dead and lifeless. Im not sure if Samsung will be able to tell if your phone was flashed because its dead.Samsung slaves usually use different battery and usb to see if phone turns on,if it doesn't they then inspect phone for physical damage and then they send you a refurbished one. T-mobile are a bunch of noobs they wouldn't know anything so push for a new phone with them. Could you please explain exactly what you did? My guess is odin flashing with wrong firmwares or kernels.
hi
i had the same hard brick problem as above but for me it was weird. all i wanted at the time was to get rid of the bloat where and i did after which i unrooted and the phone worked fine. the weird thing is later i went in to download mode by accident and before i could do anything the phone was bricked. tmobile replaced My phone but if this has happened to anyone else please reply

I've tried to search but cannot find a solution. I had Hellfire ICS running on my G2X and today while trying to access the weather it froze. I pulled the battery and now it will not power back on. I can connect it to the computer and I can hear it connect but I cannot reload nvflash. It gets stuck trying to initialize bootloader. I've pulled the battery and tried everything that has been mentioned but no luck. Any help is appreciated.
G2X Will Not Power On.. answer
Just had the same problem your phone is probably toast .Find the file G2X_V21E_00_NVFlash ,download, unzip, unplug battery, plug in usb click on flash.bat . Make sure you have Nvidia usb drivers installed and make sure you use a fresh rebooted pc. Also persistance maybe necessary It may take 1 attempt or a dozen. Once it flashs the stock system and boots up if it freezes again send it back .
This procedure returns the phone to unrooted factory stock Good luck
I've called T-Mobile and they are sending me another G2X.... Still trying to get this one working. I don't like being beat.

Do you hear it connect or see it? Open device manager and verify that it shows as some nvidia device (boot something) under usb before applying nvflash.

It does connect as APX while connecting it to usb but will not turn on. I will say that after repeatedly trying to install the stock flash as jdakk1982 had suggested it finally went to the boot screen but froze half way through. Now when I connect it to usb whether i'm holding the volume buttons or not it will connect as APX but I cannot get it to power on in apx mode again.

Assuming this was done with battery out. Can you try with everything removed (battery, sim, sd card) and see if it works? If it does not I am afraid you may have a brick .
Boot loader should initialize... unfortunately this is a must step (but you probably already know that).

I have same problem as OP but I did overclock to 1.4 Ghz - I had just flashed the T15 kernel and was running quadrant when the phone froze. Did a battery pull and nothing. Will not boot, will not turn on. Guess its probably toast but any ideas of what I could try?
I had to get a new phone... I did notice that the battery was completely dead but it still would not turn back on. I replaced it with t-mobile.

Got it working...
Thanks for the link ratza (I bookmarked it) but I did get it up and running. It would not power on for almost 24 hrs and I could not connect it to PC. With battery out and plugged in PC did not see it.
It took a different battery to get it to boot. Even after that I could not get into Clockwork recovery either from the app or by holding down power / down buttons. I tried about a 2 dozen times. It took an older SD card that had a nandroid backup that finally worked.

Just happened to me
This same thing just happened to me no more than two hours ago. After searching through the net I found that there was really nothing I can do because I do not own a computer. So after giving up hope because no one has posted anything recently I decided to just bull**** with the phone. I took the battery out sim and SD card. Plugged USB cord into USB wall mount charger plugged it into the phone without battery held down the power and vol- button all of a suddon LG screen flashes turns off. I quickly put battery in left it plugged in pushed same two buttons and it came to life. Hopefully thus helps anyone who's searching with no luck

Normally after Eluga gets to 45% it will throw 40016, at that point unplugging the phone and powering on the phone eventually brings you to the encryption error reset phone option, at that point pressing reset after abit brings you to setup screen. The error is normal rebooting back to recovery is odd.... I would try again either on another PC or USB port.

Who knows, you didn't state the condition of the device after the service center flashed it.
Does the device have any signs of life, does it do anything, does it respond any kind of way, does it connect to PC, does it charge when connected, does the LED come on when connected? Anything at all?

Oh sorry to forgot mention about it.
The mobile is still in same condition (see pic in 1st post) wherein that green android guy keeps moving its antenna relentlessly.
So after I came home from service centre I tried to flash is myself (I choose Download only mode in sp flash tool). After flash the mobile tried to start up and showed that mobile is encrypting but it got switched off soon after. So I charged it for some time and switched on. Than it showed that since the encrypting process was interrupted, the mobile needs to reset so I clicked on reset.
Next I got same screen (with that android guy running) but with "Erasing" written at bottom. And after some time stock recovery screen appeared. Then I selected Reboot from there and on start up the mobile again went into that screen with android guy.
Now I think I will flash again in "firmware upgrade" (will it make any difference?) mode. But waiting for battery to drain out. Another problem is my battery is non-removable. So maybe it switches on while flashing?
Any thoughts?

Yikes, it's never good when a device powers down during flashing or during first boot after flashing.
Seems to me that you might have hardware issues now since the service center couldn't revive it. You might need to replace the motherboard. Trying to recover it with software tools is probably just gonna be a wild goose chase and will probably end with things being worse which will lead to replacing the motherboard anyway so just save yourself the headache and go straight for replacing it.

I think the service center guy was lazy. He did not even bother to remove my battery or let it die (since its unremovable). He flashed with mobile on.
I again tried flashing with sp flash with "download only" option and it showed download successful at the end of flash. Before starting the mobile, I charged the battery fully and then the mobile started with "Encyrpting mobile...." and it got stuck at 229% (how can something be more than 100%? .. anyways) for some time and then it company logo screen appeared. I let be like that for few hrs but then nothing happened.
Do you think I should flash again? Does appearance of company logo screen indicate any hope?
I am sorry if it's too much of trouble... but replacing hardware will cost too much to me and am trying my best if I could make my mobile work..

If it powers on and tries to boot and can get to flash mode then yeah, you can probably fix it. But without knowing what got corrupted, it won't be easy. It's gonna take trial and error between adb/fastboot, flash mode and flash tool, etc.. you can try flashing or pushing the individual .imgs form your stock firmware one at a time until whatever is corrupted gets replaced.

Hello guys,
I apologize if this has been solved before but I wasn't able to find anything on it.
I have a oneplus one phone which I had running Ressurection Rom (I don't have the details as my father was using it for the last 2 years).
He dropped the phone and gave it to a shop for repairing of the screen. They repaired the screen but now they have somehow messed with the software where I am UNABLE TO BOOT TO FASTBOOT OR TRWP. The function of holding POWER + VOLUME DOWN or POWER + VOLUME UP doesn't work. When I attempt those two options, it still continues to boot as it normally would and then start optimizing apps. Does that for about 45 minutes and then just restarts and repeats the process.
I haven't messed around with android stuff for about a year now, so simplified instructions (rather step by step) would be extremely helpful.
Thank you so much for taking the time.

Hello, Thank you for your response.
I have tried the instructions that you provided and I am stuck in a place where the "Samsung" drivers for OPO are installed but the phone isn't detected by the computer when its plugged in. I assume that means the drivers aren't installed correctly. However, when I do open device manager and attempt to update or uninstall the drivers there isn't a device there that is representative of OPO.
How do I get to the point where the drivers can be installed without me having access to the phone. I can't really go into a bricked phone and turn on ADB etc.'
Thank you

Most probably your volume buttons were messed up during the repair. That's the only reason I can think of. There are some videos on YouTube about fixing the volume buttons.
