Hello all,
first of all sry 4 my bad english...
I´ve read a lot of threads about unbrick / restore stock rom, but tbh with you there is a much easyier way to get back to a stock rom.. U dont even need win xp. I tried it with win 7 64 bit and it workd perfect. I went back from Waterbear v1.0 to v10D without any problmes. Also you can unbrick your phone ( with a some luck )
Here we go.. What u need :
1. lg BC2AppSetup. exe from lg.com
2. lg mobile update
3. nothing more
ok now do this:
!!!!turn off storage mode in settings and turn on Usb Debug
1. Install bc2appsetup
2. run lg mobile update
(If this is ur first time using lg mobile update .. if not go ahead to step 5 )
3. Connect your phone to your pc so lg mobile is able to recognize it ( some driver will be installed, let your pc finish with that )
4.disconnect your phone from your pc and let lg mobile run, dont close it!
5. turn off your phone ( no need to remove batt or something like that, just let it turnt off ) and connect it to your pc again.
6. now wait for the batt loading symbol on your o3d.
7. while you can see the batt loading symbol press vol-up + power on for about 6 sec.. your device turns off and you can see some driver installed on your pc. ( there can be a popoff with missing omap4430 driver.. no problem just ignore it )
8. After installing the driver to your pc you have to press again vol-up+power on for about 6 sec. Have a eye on your lg mobile update during pressing the vol-up+power on button because u will see lg mobile is recognizing your device.. As soon u see that u can stop pressing vol-up+power on. Notice my screen didnt went on during this procedure.. But it works perfekt!
9. Now that lg mobile have recognize your device you can see that lg mobile update cant say what rom is installed and this is good! Because now you can just press s/w upgrade and it will upgrade(restore) to the newest stock rom.
You dont even lose your data..you keep everything but i recommend to do a factory reset in settings after all .
You will lose Root, superuser, cwm but you can get it back in few minutes without any problems.
P.s. As i said there are a lot of threads about reflashing stock rom but they are all much much to complicated. A lot of steps they say you dont even need as you can see here..
Will this remove. CLOCK WORK RECOVERY?
THANKS.
hello,
one of my friends recently arrived with a tricky problem.
he has an old-ish LG Optimus One that he flashed badly and now is stuck on continous boot loop.
all it displays is:
fastboot mode started
udc.start()
Click to collapse
however, unlike the problem fixed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-1088046.html
it does not recognize USB cable:
fastboot mode started
udc.start()
-- suspend --
-- suspend --
-- suspend --
Click to collapse
it only says suspend even after multiple plug-ins and no driver pops up on my PC or his...
i call it permanently bricked:crying:, but i'd like a second opinion?

This worked for me too. Try it! Good luck!
The udc_start() screen appears for me occasionally when I fail to boot into Clockwork Mod (Seems random)
I simply take out my battery, count to 5, put it back in, and try again - Normally works after 2 or 3 retries *Shrugs*
Hey, i have a same problem, nothing work, only:
fastboot mode started
udc.start()
-- suspend --
-- suspend --
-- suspend --
the same what you have... is here is anybody who can fix it?
oh, by the way i have LG P350, not P500... but problem is the same...

Simply take out the battery. If your friend is rooted, has a recovery and a working ROM on his sd card, ask him to flash that by booting into recovery

after checks it turned out it has a phisycal problem bloc problem . i've atempted to make a full dump igonrign bad sectors, and now it boots until LG logo.

any kdz software update of anything ics,2.3 anything..
then install and use kdz_fw_upd
and select type : 3GQCT
PHONE MODE : EMERGENCY
AND give the path where u downloaded kdz file
then just click launch software update and ur done..

For all u'r problems with fastboot,go and download this AndroidFlashRecovery_0.0.1.2_D,by insert the recovery file for your phone

Help me....
hard bricked my LG Optimus One when i remove a battery after kdz error..
my phone can't Connect on PC i have instaled USb drivers properly....After removed a battery in kdz error on emergency mode phone won't turn
There is an emergency mode you can try as long as you have the software on your computer to flash factory settings on to your phone.
Toemergency mode:
1) Take out the battery
2) Have a usb cable already connected to the computer.
3) Hold the power button + volume up + back button AND then connect the usb while holding those buttons
Yellow screen will appear with the words emergency mode in the middle.
At this point, do some forum searching, find some kind of stock image file and LG program to flash stock system on to the phone.
**I DONT OWN THIS DEVICE** but i had a few cases and this should work for you too

Your device is hard-bricked. Your only bet in LG. Go to LG and tell them you turned it off, and now it doesn't start up
That thing happened to my phone a year ago. You can't do nothing at home. Go to a service.

Hi, my tablet SAMSUNG Galaxy tab 2 10.1 (p5110) had an error while installing the stock firmware with Odin. Now it shows:
"Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again"
I tried with kies: nothing, it won't recognise the tablet.
The problem is this: the tablet can't go on Download Mode! And can't power off until the battery is "out"
Is USB Jig good for this problem?

Can there be nothing to do with this tablet? It doesn't go to download mode and shows the screen --> Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode... and try again :crying:

OK, but this is not the needed one (this is the driver for internet sharing). Try to change the driver to android device, adb, Samsung adb, Samsung android device or similar via "change driver" or even better, use another pc and start over. The "universal adb driver" package could be helpful.

OK. Odin found this tab, fine. But flashing failed. So I would double-check whether it is the right firmware (espresdo-wifi or espresso-3g, 7" or 10"). I hope it is not a defect emc.

Thank you for your attention, very kind.
The firmware file is the correct one and tried to download it on both Sammobile and Xda.
Now, I tried to change PCs and start flashing from the beginning. But when I connect to the new PC, the tablet jumps out "Unrecognized USB Device".[emoji724]
My PC regularly has Kies, but it fails to install drivers

Perhaps the tab rejects the new PC cause of missing authentication... So we must stay on the old one.
You said, you have Kies installed. Did you try the way mentioned in the message on the tab? Kies should not need to install drivers AFAIK (ODIN found the tab...) But I'm not shure (and 1000km away from home). Google for Kies drivers and compare the results from ODIN drivers.
You'll get that issue if KIES or any other crap of it is installed while using Odin. Also a anti virus program could cause trouble.
Uninstall kies, but you can keep the driver.

[LONG POST AHEAD!!]
My father bought me a secondhand S8+ which was only used for less than two months.
(I wasn't really happy it was secondhand but at least I got a new phone and an upgrade from my old J7 2015?? HAHAHA)
I was supposed to software update it since it was only in Android v7.0 when 8.0 already exists, but when I did try to download software updates, it banned me from doing so. It turns out that the phone was rooted.
Since it was rooted, I decided to factory reset it through the settings. And so I did. When I rebooted it, it displayed "Custom binary blocked by OEM Lock." After watching several videos on YouTube, it told me to download its stock firmware and flash everything through Odin. After doing so, I connected the phone to my laptop for it to flash the firmware, but the laptop can't recognize the device and can't install driver software. I tried several ways to fix this: I downloaded the Samsung USB Driver for Mobile Devices, and even downloaded Smart Switch. Still, no driver software. I also tried installing the driver software through searching for it (as suggested by Windows Troubleshooting), but still no driver software.
I also tried wiping my data thru Recovery Mode, and when I selected Reboot after wiping the data, it still displayed the same thing.
Please help :crying:
Have you tried to boot into download mode and then try flashing via odin? If you are on the block "Custom binary blocked by OEM Lock" message you wont get any USB response.

yes i have booted into download mode, but my laptop still cant detect my device.
I think is a driver problem. First try other USB port after try to connect other Samsung mobile to laptop for test.

I did try the other ports and at some time it detected the device but it was a Base System Device or Unknown Device and can't install its driver software. My J7 connects perfectly fine to the laptop though.
