Not sure if international unlock is different but ##72786# in dialer will reset data provisioning to factory without needing msl and only resetting data configuration without resetting phone or user files. The 3282 one will allow u to view data settings without msl but msl needed to change anything, some custom roms/kernels have this bypassed allowing data settings accessible without msl. Id try scrtn first (72786)

Or signal guard app may be worth trying if rooted as it will have an option for radio locking where you can change preferred network type. The app also can be used unrooted just not sure what that is like as I havent tried unrooted.

Is there any option to learn msl in my phone ?

You'll have to contact sprint, if you call care they will sometimes give it to you, or if you know someone at a store they might be able to look it up for you

If you want to root or are rooted there are other options as well, but without the trouble of that it should be easier to get it from sprint. They do have terms for it which can be found somewhere on their site, I'd google sprint unlock policy. You will most likely come across workarounds as well from the same search results.

If u r rooted or would rather not gamble your luck with the various different service reps (all working for the same company) http://idoneapps.com would be, in my opinion, the most simple and surebet option available to obtaining the msl, among several other options that I believe would be a tremendous help to you. There may be other methods out there, however, just from my experience with the same model phone and whether marshmallow or lollipop it has without a doubt worked successfully.

And apologies if the link is not within the rules as for being free or whatever, I just wasnt sure how to go about it as it had once been posted on a forum on here being shared for free and was requested by idoneapps to be removed so in respect to that I only felt comfortable pointing in the honest direction, what you decide from there is entirely up to you.

My friends, i have got msl code now and i checked setting.
I have seen that i havent lte 3 7 20 bans , so i cant see lte signal in my note 5.
How can i add this lte bands for my note 5?
Is it possible?
Sent from my SM-N920P using XDA-Developers mobile app

The bands supported by the n920p are bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 25, 26, 41

Dear my friend.
I can see band3 setting but it says not supported.
I think, can it solve with new kernel or porting new firmware

I have entered this 72786 code and reset but i cant see my network now, emergency call only. It is sprint phone but unlocked to sim free by sprint. I tried this code because i also have problem with Lte.
It is note 5 n920p.
What should i do?

Same here. I use it in Bulgaria and LTE is very limited, also AFAIK LTE shortens the battery life..
If you don't have coverage and you have LTE it will keep scanning -> battery drain

Working in Uk?
The strangest thing... I enabled said bands while I was visiting Pakistan and it IMMEDIATELY worked (provider there uses band 3, 1800 MHz) It worked just fine in Dubai as well, also on band 3 and on my EE sim on roaming on etisalat. But then I get back to Uk and still no LTE. Just HSPA!
I am on EE network which I am sure uses band 3 as well. I know there is an LTE signal in my area because when I pop my sim in my wife's iPhone 5 (not 5s) it picks LTE immediately (which I believe is only capable of band 3 in UK)
Also, I am not getting LTE on my Verizon anywhere at all.
So I know band 3 was unlocked because it worked great in Pakistan and Dubai but its not working here. Anyone have any ideas why this is?
@BobbySteel: does yours work in Uk?
So if I am American, do I even need or want to try this?

If you're on Verizon; no.
What about me ? I have AT&T and current use only HSPA+
do you have an idea if this band that you unlocked is also available on ATT?
Great job
What are the default LTE bands the verizon m8 comes with?
Also is it possible to unlock AWS HSPA+ bands?
I have the exact same problem. I can't get any UK sim cards to reliably work in the UK but it works well in every other EU country I'm in. I've tried both Voda and O2 UK. Strangely though there are a few locations (near Victoria for example) where 4g *does* work. But it's geographically small and other areas my old sgs4 got 4g don't work on this handset w the same sim. Bizarre.
I was hoping this would be a more popular thread but guess the phone is getting old now...

AFAIK, HTC One M8 has LTE bands 4/13 unlocked. And it´s global on 3G.
Edit: Bands 4/13 only(NV 6828 = 4104, same NV 6829)

TMO uses LTE bands 2-4-12 in the continental US and Verizon 4-13. Therefore you should unlock bands 2-12 to use both carriers.
So, NV6828 and NV6829 original values(4104) must be replaced with 6154. Hope this helps.

The D820 is the US version, You should've bought the D821 international version, But you might be able to unlock the bands you need by reading this thread below.

I noticed that too, although only LTE bands differ from the D820 and D821 models and he is running into issues with the non-LTE signals.
Try entering *#*#4636#*#* into the phone app, going to Phone information, then make sure the preferred network type is on the correct setting. I think it should be set to LTE/GSM/CDMA auto (PRL) although I would recommend playing around with them to see what can connect to 3G.
Good luck!

LG G Style H634 unlocked, T-Mobile blocked the phone to use it's data?

Hello, I have my H634 (from Cricket) unlocked.
and recently switched to T-Mobile.
I know the phone might not 100% support T-Mobile network but want to give a try.
so I have put the T-Mobile Sim and I manually punch in the APN information.
Then I tried to access internet and it goes to T-Mobile website says my data plan not support this device.
Sounds like since no T-Mobile connect and it goes to it's partner connection but they refused to let you use it (since tmobile have to pay).
any idea I can force to enable to network connection in this case?
Did you call T-Mobile?
I thought Cricket,Verizon,Sprint,Boost was a cdma company not gsm like Tmobile,Metro,AT&T.

installing uk official rom on sprint

I bought a galaxy s5 sprint and i know its us model so what i want to do is i would like to install uk official rom or CyanogenMod rom which is made for uk not the sprint version.
I just want to know can i do that i dont want the sprint version as i am living in the uk and i didnt know the phone is us model so now i am stuck with it. Would appreciate your help
if its a G900P, then youre going to be best served going with the KLTESPR version of cyanogenmod. Technically, you can flash any ROM on it as long as you use the kltespr baseband, kernel and radio on it, but that can get sticky. Best bet is just to find a stripped down version of an AOSP ROM and install it. Itll make it as un-sprinty as possible

ok thanks for the info and so far its running fine the only problem i am having is i dont have 4g it only stays on 3g and i have tried cyanogenmod same thing but then i get hspa as well but no 4g, how can i get 4g?
what model # is it? its either the G900p, G900v, G900a or G900t (most likely). I ask because it could just be the data icons. My G900P only showed the 3G icon when it was running hspa+ until i changed some stuff around. BTW, hspa+ is 4G. LTE (long term evolution) is a made up term, not a name of a cell technology. 4G was first called that by sprint when they used ClearWire on the Evo4G. LTE+ is a different thing, which the S5 isnt capable of. If youre getting the h+ icon, then youre already on the right path. You might need to enable the right bands on the phone to get the full speed(which isnt a newb task)
Also, it doesnt really matter in the slightest if its a US model, since they all have the exact same hardware(minus the xynos processor versions, which havent really been discussed much here at all). A little discussion and changing stuff can get it to where it needs to be, of that, im sure.
---------- Post added at 09:45 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:38 PM ----------
another thing to note, what carrier are you using? Orange? Vodafone? Are they strictly GSM (like most EU carriers)? if so, then you shouldnt be having much trouble at all. The SSU.apk and a custom ROM that allows you to change APN settings should get you there.

also, i recommend MOAR 7.0. Its a very smooth ROM. I havent used any CM ROMs in quite a while because the gear 2 neo on my wrinst wont pair with CM ROMs, not sure why tho. ok thanks bro i will try the link you posted and see if it works
Forgive me if this is too obvious, but have you gone into Settings -> More Networks -> Mobile networks -> Network mode and picked an appropriate mode for your network (presumably GSM/UMTS)? And did yo adjust the roaming settings?
Also, the G900P was built with a focus on working well on Sprint's (USA) CDMA network. The G900P has some hardware capability to work on non-USA networks, but not great hardware capability like some of the other Galaxy S5 variants. It's possible that there just aren't any compatible 4G networks where you live.
Here's are the frequencies/protocols the G9000P supports:
LTE: Band 25/26/41 CDMA 1x/EVDO Rev.A: 800/1900MHz; HSPA+/UMTS: 850/900/1900/2100MHz; GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz

actually, all USA S5s support all LTE bands. Its not a cakewalk to add them all to the phone, as the modem is what is limiting access to all bands (Sammy want to see more phones), here is the thread on how to do so

S6 unlocked from US Cellular- NO 4g LTE on new CMDA carrier

Purchased my phones from US Cellular unlocked. Recently left US Cellular to prepaid company ROK Moble also a cmda carrier The thing is 4G LTE seems to be blocked on all my phones! I was going to root and install a custom ROM because I was convinced that its a US Cellular final FU but "ping pong root" dosent yet support US cellular phones and I don't want to trip KNOX.
Any help would be appreciated.
i suggest you look at ROK LTE bands, they may not be compatible with your phone.

Above tips are all valid. Also make sure you have a ROK mobile APN selected. And if not present, create it according to thier guidelines.

Rooting for US cellular S6, SM-G920R4, should be done through CF-auto-root. Download the root file and the appropriate custom recovery, example: TWRP for sm-g920r4. Flash cf root first and then custom recovery in that order via Odin. You will be rooted and ready to install custom ROM s.

**Your knox will be tripped and warranty will be void.

According to Wikipedia, ROK uses Verizon's network. The same Wikipedia article states ROK/Verizon uses LTE bands 2, 4, 13. This site and this site state the US Cellular 920R4 uses LTE bands 2, 4, 5, 12, 25. So your phone only works with 2 of Verizon's LTE bands. Maybe your area uses the LTE band you're missing (13). Verizon is notorious for screwing people, so Verizon might be limiting or excluding LTE access to MVNO operators like ROK.

So LTE is not working on all your phones? Then its a network issue; not your phones.

First thank you for the reply. US Cellular's LTE network is on bands 5, and 12. is it possible for the us cellular software to limit network selection to one of these 2 bands even though the phone made to receive LTE data from all the all of the above bands? because as I look at it rok supports band 12 but not band 5 (in terms of those bands on par with US Cellular) but rok also supports band 2 and 4 which apparently my phone is capable of receiving data on but for some reason unable to....
