Experiences with TechOrbits 6440mah battery? - Galaxy Note 4 Accessories

Saw this on Amazon for super cheap. Any experiences? I have a N910a so I can not run a custom kernel to account for tri cell batteries and their updated capacities. More or less, I'm interested in knowing if this battery (on AT&T Note 4) will reflect the correct battery percentage after calibration.

I actually got this battery yesterday and it's been pretty amazing so far on my first charge. I got 5 hr of SOT but before that I was on a CM13 Rom and it had 1.5 SOT, so I can easily reach 6.5+ SOT. I'll keep it updated once the battery settles in.

2250mAh battery - not performing good!

I purchased a new 2250mAh extended battery recently from megacapacity.com.
In a full charge it gives me 18-20 hours backup with 1 hr talk time only. I don't even use Wi-Fi, GPRS. Just simple calls.
Is it normal? i dont think. Original battery 1050mAh gave better performance when it was in good condition. What could be the issue?
I have tried almost every ROM but its almost same in every case.
Anybody having 2250mAh battery? pl share your thoughts.
Is there some problem with device not charging optimally or battery is bad?
2250
I have a 2250 battery purchased from megacapacity itself. The first charge lasted for 50 hours. The battery at the time of recharge was around 20% but I recharged again. I am sure it would have gone for another 10 hours at least.
This is with moderate calls, browsing, solitaire, always on Microsoft Push mail and lot of email reading and writing. I was basically testing the battery backup; so kind of stressed my phone a bit to see the actual backup time available.
On a related note, I was definitely not happy with megacapacity as they didn't send me the correct battery cover for vox and never responded to any of my emails. So now my phone is without battery cover. And I am planning to buy one more normal sized battery because of this. Thanks to megacapacity.

PS: - I am using fireburned 6.1 stable rom 1.4.
I am pretty happy with Polar CEll 1300 mAh battery. It gets me through the day with heavy use! It dies when I am IMing over Wifi for a couple of hours in the evening.
Is it device charging issue?
My device was also working good with original battery. I used it for approx 18 months. After that (couple of months back) it started giving problem shutting down device suddenly while in the call. Its calibration was totally disturbed, i happend due to high temperatures some time when in car, i think so.
In nutshell that battery was of no use to be thrown out. Then,
I bought 2250 mAh but its not giving expected performance, its lasts for max one day with normal use.
Could it be due to issues with device charging circuit? It gets charged fully in one hour. i suspect there might be some issue with device circuit.
or finally battery is not good?
Pl advise.

parthabhatta & h4waii,
You both have good experince with VOX battery, pl share your thoughts on this.
Hi,
Actually I use a battery bought from megacapacity but its 1100mAh. The battery is not giving me any problems and after a few calls, roughly one hour surfing and some music playing 20-30% battery is still left. So what I feel is being 2250mAh it should last atleast 80% more than 1100 mAh if not double. You can check the Power management battery bar while charging - whether it shoots up occassionally at random or gradually increases with increments of 1% till it attains 100%. If it shoots up, try with USB charging and see if the problem recurs. Give it a try and let us know.
Just be careful of using BIG battery.

Thats a good idea, sure i will check and let you know.
I charged my 2250mAH in an external charger, which removes any possibility of the device shutting off charge after it reaches a certain voltage. It allows the battery to make that choice. I had good use with it, very heavy usage and it would last drastically longer than the OEM 1100mAH unit. I'd recommend just buying a 1300mAH as the 2250 is very cumbersome to carry around on the device.
Again, I still have mine - if anybody wants to buy them.
There are a few issues with keeping the sheet in contact with the pins, else it will shut off randomly, I padded it with paper and pulled the pins out a bit.
i got mine a year ago from ebaystore dmc-batteries.
first i also got the wrong backcover, but they sent me very fast the correct one.
The battery is definitely not twice as strong as the original one.
At normal use I think the max is 1,5 day. Light use gives me 2 days but heavy use with bluetooth or wifi or gprs only 1 day.
as h4waii I had in the beginning some problems with the contacts and sudden loss of power because of that, but that disappeared with time
Still I can't make a point...I'cant determine were is good to buy (obviously referring xda user's opinion to how much the battery lasts) and where is better not to buy. LoL

dmc-batteries gave me good service and are quick and friendy in their replies. I recommend them.
Thank you birdibird , but my intention was a survey to know what brand (seller) of ezxtended battery lasts more than an other. Just that
Because I've read of battery lasting 4-5 days with normal usage and others not lasting more than 1!

[Q] Does using power banks have impact on battery life?

I want to buy a powerbank but my friend said that after few months of usage it will badly affect my battery life. I want to know if it is true or false.
Thanks for all replies
Can anybody help me?
It really depends on your charging habits. Batteries die more and more every full charge cycle. Its usually a better idea to invest in an extended battery which often times is cheaper without the hassle. If you recharge twice a day and charge normally once. Theoretically, your battery will degrade 66% faster then one charge a day. But rarely will you be charging 3 times a day. Expect a number closer to 25%-35%. So if the average battery's optimal life takes a year to degrade, expect yours optimal life to be roughly 9 months. Of course at 9 months, your battery doesnt just stop working. Over each charge and month, your losing more and more charge capacity to the point where its inconveninet because your recharging so much. My battery is almost a year old and ive already ordered a new one due to the crap battery life. To tell if you need a new battery, try to spin it on a flat surface. A battery that can hold a charge wont spin since its flat. A battery with lumps and round points will because it cant hold a charge. So i would recommend a SLIM extended battery, they dont require an extended case backing(makes your phone a boulder.) Hope i was helpful!

[Q] Battery

I know I know, that the battery for this device isn't the best. What I've noticed that the battery in my device seems to be draining a little faster. I have had the phone since it was released, I have not changed ROM from what is listed in my sig. and now I'm getting about 12 hrs of life, while I was getting about 24 hrs.
Usage has not changed.
Is it possible that the battery is not maintaining its charge?, although it charges to 4206mv according to the battery calibrator app, and has charged to that level for months and months.
Any thoughts?

Bad Battery life or Bad Battery on Nexus 5 with 5.1

Hello,
I've searching for like 2 months about problems with battery life and Lollipop with nexus 5. I understand the issues but since it was released, i never had much problems with it. I used to have 2h SOT for like 40% battery or so.
My daily routine allowed me to reach home with a bit more than 50% battery with 2h SOT more or less. (a lot of messaging on viber/whatsapp)
But something changed since 1 and half months ago. I can no longer do the same and it seems that i have a CONSTANT battery drain. I remember when i unplugged my phone i would reach my workplace (1:30h after unplug) i would have like 2-4% less battery depending on the usage. Currently when i get out of home the battery is already at like 92% or more depending on the usage. If i let the phone stay idle all the time, i usally get home with 30-40% battery now. I'm already thinking that my battery has gone bad. This started to happen from one day to another and i never let the battery stay too much below 30% usually, but nowadays it's impossible to predict the battery life since some days it seems to drain more than others.
I've used some apps to monitor the usage but i really don't understand much about it and can't seem to find a pattern. I've already did factory reset with all Lollipop versions and i remember doing a KK regression for some hours but the drain seemed like it was still there (can't use KK on my nexus 5 anyway, it feels weird after Lollipop experience ) but i didn't even fully charged the battery as i remember. Anyway if it would be an app, there should be some kind of logging in battery stats which doesn't, and i can't think about anything else.
I finally gave up and decided to ask help here, since i don't know what else to do. I'm actually leaning towards getting a nexus 6 but after reading about so many issues (screen/battery life/burn-in) i'm not sure what else i can do with my nexus 5.
If anyone can give me a hint i'd be very grateful
PS: already tried Cataclysm ROM and using currently ElementalX kernel. I notice a bit better battery life with ElementalX but i think the pictures speak for themselves.
Judging by that constant drain with very little shown awake time I'd install Better Battery Stats and check for kernel wakelocks. I had a similar situation with a wake lock from using a wireless charger that did not show in the regular battery stats.

i already installed it before, but currently don't have it installed. I have Wakelock Detector app i can post a screenshot if helps
Installed Better Battery Stats, i'll post results tomorrow (battery at 19% already).
As promised, there's still some battery left but i didn't even use the phone today mostly... in days like these i should be over 70% as usual or maybe close to 80% that i remember.
Can't seem to find the cause
bump i guess
will some full discharge cycles fix this ? iirc that can make things worse.
I feel your pain...when I was on Kitkat, I'd get to work running just Waze and Pandora and my battery life would be at 80%. Installed Lollipop 5.1 and now half way through my trip (15 minutes of use) the phone shuts down with a dead battery. Maybe it's just a coincidence that my battery decided to give up the ghost at the same time I install 5.1, but I find that very odd...the phone is only a 1.5 years old...lithium battery's tend to last 2+ years and even then they don't fall off a cliff in terms of capacity. At this point I think I'll buy a new battery and see what happens, LG OEM are about $25 on Amazon.

What's average battery life of Ace?

Hi, I bought used Ace 3 recently and my battery life isn't very good. It's cca 20mins screentime — 10% battery, so cca 3 hours of screentime (both stock and CM12). I wonder if it's just old battery or if its normal.
I can return the phone in 7 days, so if such battery life is normal, I'll buy Xperia M instead which is said to be better.
Thanks for answer, I have time just until Wednesday.
It's good, depends what are you doing with it.
So my it's problem of my battery and with the new battery will the phone last one day of moderate usage without problem?
