Hey I have a Samsung S4 International, jfltexx.
Different ROM's are sometimes incompatible with some apps.
For example on Euphoria OS 1.1 I cannot install Vainglory from the store, but on Albe95 Lollirom I can install Vainglory from the store.
The app I'm talking about, Vainglory, is a game that's frequently updated and has lots of events that are time limited, waiting for a 3rd party site to upload the apk takes too long and some events might be missed which is a huge loss for me.
My questions are : What causes this?, How can this be fixed?
Thanks.
are Euphoria OS 1.1 and Albe95 Lollirom have same android versions
Yes, 5.1.1 Lollipop, except albe95 is a touchwiz rom and euphoria is aosp.
ok

so the app must be compavtable with one of the varient either touchwiz or aosp.
they do have different user interface in frameworks

Anyone know if there will be a way to get the google dialer with phone number lookup on the gs6??
I'd love to know that too, this is one of the thing stopping me on getting a non nexus phone.
Can you try this and see if it works on Lollipop ? The article is fairly old so you might want to source a newer zip file.

I found this link too, can you try it on your S6 Lollipop ?
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/1...ll-it-manually-on-other-kitkat-roms-download/
There is also this guy, the latest of the Google Dialer (2.1):
http://getandroidapp.org/applications/tools/165027-google-dialer-2-1.html
I pulled the dialer apk from my Nexus 6 and it won't install on the S6...
I used to have a flashable zip that would replace everything when I had my M7 on sense and worked perfect but I lost track of the file. I too would like to find something to do that on the S6.
I tried both 2.0 and 2.1 and neither would install.
Hello there,
I'm new to the forum here. I've Moto G XT1033. I'd like to know which Custom ROM is most stable and can be used as a daily driver. I see tons of Custome ROMs for Marshmallow. I'd like to know which one is most stable.
Help me out!
Official CM is the best and stable in every aspect.

I'd like the Marshmallow. I want like stable one. For daily driver. As stock as possible. It's like the ROM has to look like it was developed by Motorola itself. I don't mind some additional features.

I don't see any major bugs in CM 13 it's pretty stable ,fast and perfect for regular usage ,if you sit to find bugs I would call them glitches ,almost all the ROM's are basically stable developers can't inspect each and everything all what is tested is all the basic things and there are glitches in each ROM even stock ROM is stable of nay device including all NEXUS devices like CM 13 has screenshot sound in DND mode, camera sound in DND mode.

Install CM 13 and if you want there are additional features as well if not then don't use them it's stable for daily usage I have been using it since a long time it was my first ROM I installed in Motorola Moto G ,all others are not very different from CM as CM is the base of most ROM's if not CM it's Stock Based.
this is my review on custom ROMs for XT1033.
Marshmallow;
+ Official CM13 (and everything based on it)
i wouldnt call it stable yet, when i compare it with the latest builds CM12.1. sure if you flash regularly you get things fixed but then things that were working on previous builds all of a sudden does not work on new builds, i dont blame anyone, afterall that's why they are called nightlies. as for show stoppers; you cannot disable SIMs, adhoc WIFI problems, and despite DOZE being alternatively implemented the battery life is not even comparable with CM12.1 which itself is a battery hog compared to CM11. these are major disappointments in CM13 for XT1033.
havent tried AOSP + CAF, AOSPB, Slim 6, but I think your best bet would be Identity Crysis 6.0, its still taking shape, but from forum info appears to be working fine.
Lollipop
+fonz unofficial CM12.1 has all the latest security/kernel/CM updates, and super stable.
+ lost101 optimized Stock 5.1 with Kamineri Kernel
nothin beats this, with Xposed + gravitybox this is pure awesomeness
+ Exodus 5.1 with hurtsky kernel
personal favourite, i'm back on this. has everything you need and rock stable. not updated since dec/2015 though
+ BrokenOS 5.1 with hurtsky kernel
has everything you'll ever need and rock stable.
+ SlimSaber 5.1
favourite from the SlimLP ROMs
+ Dirty Unicorns 9.8
AOSP based with everything
Kitkat
i would only recommend lost101 optimized Stock 4.4.4 because i found all custom ROMs including CM11 (with most time spent on crDroid 4.4.4) to be patchy with FCs here and there for XT1033
If you ask me,I will suggest you give a try to Resurrection Remix. It is marshmallow based, updated frequently and the latest build is really good.

Is slim 6 stable for moto g.? Can I use it daily basis without suddenly reboot.?
Sent from my falcon using XDA-Developers mobile app
I'm using cm13 for my xt1033 and it's running smooth without any kind of problem
Using IDCrisis as my daily driver - stock build and rock solid
I installed AOSP CAF after lots of research. Very happy with it. RR and IDC has some extras that I don't like. It's my opinion
Thanks for the suggestion all of you.
you can also try Exodus 6.0. thought first builds were only recently released, and it is a work-in-progress, these guys dont disappoint.
FYI it is not based on CM13, and AOSP and CAF based
I agree on Exodus 6.0 . Very stable even tho still nightly. Battery backup is good too, I m getting around 4.5 hours.
Exodus 6.0.1! Although i really liked AOSP-CAF 6.0.1 for it's simpleness and cleanness. But Exodus has a bit better performance and stability in my perception.
edit: forgot to mention that i have not yet tested CM13
which MM ROM supports dual sim?, coz all I had tried are single sim supported only..

is it recognizes dual sim or will it work only single sim..?
G'day XDA.
I have found out that AOSP ROMs (Lineage OS, Cosmic OS etc.) doesn't have the built in FM radio app when flashing the firmware. However the stock Samsung Touchwiz ROMs have the FM and works flawlessly.
So what exactly is the reason why AOSP has this issue? Is it possible to get it working?
My Chipset:
Exynos 7870
Mali GPU
Cheers!
I have managed to obtain a copy of the Motorolla FM Radio and it launches. It gives the error: currently not available.
I believe it need the libraries ported from the stock ROM to the AOSP ROM.

It looks like this may not be developed an longer, not sure because I didn't give it that detailed of a read, but you might try:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/spirit-fm/app-spirit2-free-source-real-fm-radio-t2951455
or
https://f-droid.org/en/packages/fm.a2d.sf/
In both cases, I'd try to use the F-Droid repo in case they are getting updated. The play store links no longer work and when I searched for them there was a result suggesting that the original developer has died, so hopefully they work for AOSP in its current state.

He was a patient dude when I had troubles with an app permission. Most developers don't even bother to address emails, I found out when I was gapps free for a while and was asking people to switch me from Google verification to Paypal.
Also know that he was, for a long time, the only dude in Android development that was working on FM receivers and transmitters on Android, as far as I know, so I hope the apps are still available and work out for you.

Also found this just now. Says its incompatible and I can't see if its free, but you can still try it from Yalp store, installable from F-droid, and see if it works. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nextradioapp.nextradio&hl=en
Hello guys, I tried to install Xposed to my Mi Note 3 today via TWRP (v89) but I went bootloop after install.
I uninstalled the xposed with uninstaller and my device was booted successfully.
After, I tried to install xposed at this MIUI Forum thread: http://en.miui.com/thread-78894-1-1.html
But, not worked again.
My device stuck at bootloop even I tried to uninstall it this time.
I restored my backup as last option. My device is working well now but I still couldn't install Xposed.
Any ideas?
Note: I have Magisk.
[Sorry if my English is bad but I tried to explain my problem as much as possible ]
Hi,
on my Note 3 it works completly only with global 9.14, no newer versions and no costum rom.
In 9.14 you can simply install the xposed app (3.15) and from there download and install the framework.
In all other roms you must deactivate the ressource api (xposed app -> settings) before you install the framework.
Then the framework works, but not all modules (e. g. MinMinGuard).

But you could use miui 10 with Google : sms app, dialer app, Google launcher, lock screen, <on miui 9.x F.e Google sms app can't work correctly, now works perfectly >. On developer options you could turn off miui optimalization (yes it could be turn off, people don't like it), and you has aosp like Rom.

I would be happy to run ResurrectionRemix (Pie) but even the smallest GApps package from Open GApps fails to install because there's not enough space once RR is installed. TWRP reports around 48 MB available in the system partition.

Been using it since October 2018 as a daily driver for an old Nexus 5 phone n it's been serving me great
Regular security patches too (last was April 2019 for Pie)
Also takes GAPPs
Do repartition before.
Follow this https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79928889&postcount=190
Then flash RR and gapps.
chmbrnl: Thanks for the suggestion. I would have loved to try AOSP but couldn't find any site that actually provides AOSP ROM builds. I did see AOSPExtended - is that the one you mean? If not, can you tell me where the AOSP ROMs are available?
srepole: Thanks for your suggestion. I was hesitant to follow the procedure you referenced, which calls for installing somebody's modified TWRP recovery from an unknown (at least to me) Mega account and then running a script whose author is also unknown to me. But since I knew of no other option for getting a system that met my requirements, I took your advice and followed the procedure. And as far as I can tell it worked perfectly and my durable ol' Nexus 5 is up and running RR Pie and GApps like a champ!
Thanks to both of your for your input and help!
