Have you done anything to it? Such as disabling some of the bloatware or other stuff? I have Marshmallow and this thing is fine and faster.

I have this issue when I first start up my phone. It feels likes there are programs loading in the background and it hiccups for the first 5 minutes.

Try disabling whatever freezer or debloater app you used and then reboot to see if it clears it..

When you first start up the phone the pin is required. Mine does that too. After that it shouldn't need it again unless you reboot or shut the phone off.
The loading of apps in the background is why I use the package disabler app but you have to be careful of what you freeze that's all.. Mine doesn't hiccup at all.

It should do that, but it doesn't. When I type the pin, it will be sluggish and ask me again in a couple minutes.

[Q]2 Problems: "System UI has stopped" & "the process com.android.phone has stopped"
For some unknown reason after a simple reboot I'm getting these two errors pop up. I select "OK" and they just pop right back up not letting me do anything. I tried flashing a fresh version of Cromi-X from wipe both Cache and Dalvik. After it get's through the "Optimizing Apps" and just about get's to my desktop to load I get those two errors. I figured a fresh wipe and flash would fix it but nope...
Any ideas?

What was the last thing you did before rebooting?
Can you capture a logcat over adb as it should tell you why they are crashing.
Search on xda for how to get a logcat
Thanks for the reply sbdags! I'll check into that and post back up. I'm in the middle of reflashing again right this second lol
OK well this last factory reset and fresh flash of Cromi-X seems to have fixed it for whatever reason... Odd

You mean the audio dock? It's a know bug in CM11. You'll have to live with it until somebody finds a fix or flash CROMI-X.

If you have exactly the same problem, then you need to do exactly what sbdags suggested - get a logcat and read it.
SOLUTION!
I had the same issue on my i9000 after i loaded CodeROM 5.1.1
The message kept appearing and reappearing every couple of seconds. So in order to navigate through this, i had to press the OK, then quickly navigate to the next step in this process.
Go to Settings
Application Manager
Choose All Application
“Clear all data” in Contacts Storage.
Now Restart your device
obviously these steps will vary from device to device... but you'll know it when you see it.

Try force stopping the clock n reboot.. If that didn't help.. Check if u hav any other app interfering with clock...if not u might need to do a factory reset...

This didn't work. Problem solved itself after a while. Next problem was an unstable launcher or system. Did a factory reset..
SystemUI Clock Missing...???
I have my Xperia Z3 running on AndroPlus rom and its been working fine up until a few days ago when I noticed my clock in my status bar is missing. I have gone through all apps that offer disabling the status bar clock and made sure everything was unticked, rebooted and still nothing. It's not urgent but if someone knows how I can get the clock back in my SystemUI that'd be great!

I just called Verizon Wireless tech support back. The guy had seen this problem once before and found a fix for it. I haven't seen this fix posted on any website, but it worked immediately. Please let me know if this works for you
Go to Settings--Date and Time--Select Date Format, and then choose a date format. Once I picked 'regional' the clock worked without the error "unfortunately, clock has stopped"
Before I tried clearing cache and doing a factory reset You don't have to do this if this "choose date format" works. Please comment and let me know if this helped you. I'm curious if this will work across the board. Maybe even for phones other than Samsung Galaxy S4. I'm stoked!

VS987 with internation SIM Questions

Hi There,
I have a Verizon G5 and I'm using it overseas. There are 2 issues I would like to ask:
1) Phone does not update itself via OTA or PC with regular ways. Current version is VS98710B. How can I update it? (I don't have Verizon service)
2) I see that most recent update (VS98714A) brings an issue that; when the phone is reset, it can only be used again with entering the gmail account/password associated with that phone. What if I give/sell the phone to someone else? How can a different person use it again?

i cant say much about update, i had that issue as well.
and about google lock, if you reset your phone from settings menu and give it to someone its fine, but if you reset it from android recovery (before phone starts up) than you have to activate it using previous google account. its same as apple does it

[Galaxy-S7][SM-G930F][6.0.1] Software update & related nagging pop-ups

Originally asked here but I admit I might have better start a new thread since it's unrelated.
Also, this happened BEFORE rooting as well.
I tried a trick to quit having software updates (firmware by Samsung) by clicking on the FotaAgent and "installing" it (doesn't actually install it, in /system/priv-app/FotaAgent/FotaAgent.apk but then I had the nagging "Unfortunately, Software Update has stopped" message a couple of times in a row on each boot or every time I turn on Wi-fi. I then tried fixing THAT by disabling DiagMonAgent through BK Disabler, but that now gives me a message (on boot up at the lock screen) saying "All apps associated with this action have been blocked, disabled or uninstalled". Not the end of the world but still, is there a way to end all this? I was thinking re-flashing the ROM (stock) but I'm hoping there's another solution.
I have then also tried going to /system/etc/security/ and renamed otacerts.zip adding a .bak as extension just so it doesn't find it (still doesn't solve the problem). Lastly, I went in Application Manager through the normal Marshmallow system menu and cleared cache on the "Software Update" (system apps) specifically. Still no success. Oh, and yes, I did wipe cache partition (maybe a million times, at each step). Any insight would be appreciated or anyone who's experienced this.

Thanks! I'll check them out later today and tell you guys if it worked or not. If it does (hopefully) this will also serve for Galaxy S7 users, I'll detail as much as possible if I manage to fix this. Thanks for the links
So, just to keep anyone reading this updated, I tried what was in both threads and still doesn't work. I even tried ADB'ing to PM HIDE com.samsung.android.firmware.tsp & com.policydm, but got the following error:
Code:
adb shell
[email protected]:/ $ pm hide com.policydm
[B]Error: java.lang.SecurityException: Neither user 2000 nor current process has android.permission.MANAGE_USERS.
1[/B]
(and yes, USB debugging was on, OEM unlock, and install from untrusted sources)
tried disabling them through BK Package Disabler, still get the pop-ups.
Will just re-flash at this point, wasting more time than had I just reflashed.
EDIT: oh, and did also try com.samsung.sdm & com.samsung.sdmviewer but couldn't find these at all, even through adb with the -u handle to view hidden ones.
But thanks again, could've worked

Complete uninstall system app or Install app with conflicting package

Hey guys, excuse my ignorance before I begin.
I am trying to install a modded Spotify apk on my Samsung GS7 Nougat [Rooted]. Spotify already comes pre-installed as a system app on my phone so installation fails due to "conflicting package".
Is there a way to complete uninstall a system app? I've tried titanium backup but it simply disables it, giving me the same installation error.
Alternatively is there a foolproof way of install the modded apk side by side with the "disabled" system app?

Yea that's possible, maybe a security thing, certain KNOX related apps won't run once you've rooted and tripped knox either
EDIT - It seems without encryption you can not use secure startup, you must have wiped and removed encryption

So I tried system app uninstaller earlier and it failed on all the apps, but it actually seemed to work this time. I finally managed to uninstall it and install the modded apk. Thank you very much for your help!
