Mate 7 battery - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have changed my mate 7 screen and after this i have faced a problem with my battery it fully charge in 3 hours and take alot ot time in charging after reaching 90% , today while using it it was 20% suddenly droped to 0% and tuned off , i connected my charger anf boot it up and found its 13% , any help guys

Probably damaged the battery when changing the screen. It sounds like when the battery fails in my daughter's THL phone. She's killed two batteries in it already.

But I have checked the battery itself it's size the same and looks familiar

My suggestion did not help you?

Battery Problem (Serious ISSUE)

It seems everyone who has flashes Windows Mobile Professional 6 has the battery problem.........I Flashed almost all ROM's of different developers I am getting my Xda down on 82% only...while working on it or talking to somebody it switches off suddenly...........
I just request all ROM developers please find an solution for this problem........
Whenever I am flashing the original windows 5 ROM it works upto the 5% of
the remaining battery...........I HOPE THERE CAN BE A PROMINANT SOLUTION.
this issue has been raised many times .. its a hardware battery problem//buy new
It sounds like a problem I had, but after I replaced my battery, its gone.

Battery
Hi,
Last night I've put my battery in freezer.
This morning I took out and let it come to room temperature before charging again. It took 2.5 hours charging
Can't tell you if it worked yet but it looks good
Tell you later how long it last

Freezer Method
trying Freezer Method today, before my old battery (always) die @ 50% and today die @ 40% when call
i had this problem with my old battery (+3yrs old) so i got a new one just over a month ago ... the problem with WM6 is different .. the device takes about 1.5 day to drain the battery to 50% with normal usage (including wifi and bt) .. but the remaining 50% can be consumed in less than 2 hrs! .. same in charging too .. 1st 50% can be reached in less than 15 min and the remaining 50% can take around 2 hrs! .. i tend to think it's readings problem in WM6 but im not that expert.

Horrible Experience At MMX SC

Guys! We all know that MMX SC are pathetic and they make us pathetic in front of everyone...
My case has gone beyond limits...
As my phone touch had stopped working I gave it to MMC here in Hyd...
Today I got my cell phone from SC after 3 and a half months...
I will never ever buy MMX device ever again...
Fine bros, leave my pathetic story behind, and as you may know when we submit our phone in SC they give our battery back to us so it stays with us...
So my battery stayed idle for that period. And now it is behaving so weird that when it is at 100 it doesn't drop at all and after some time of use it drops suddenly to 50% at this moment phone restarts. after some time like half an our or so it will drop again to 20% and restarts. Again after some time it drops to 0% and doesn't switch on at all. after ten minutes it starts and shows 50%.
I know it is Batter calibration problem, so i request one of you who feels their battery performance is good to provide me the file "batterstats.bin"which you can pull out from "data\system\batterstats.bin ".
I tried battery calibration processes and non of them work and mysteriously my phone lost that file. So i feel it is the reason for my problem..
Thank you guys.

dunno if this is device-dependent, but, here's one from canvas hd (a116).
someone i know has got an a89 lying in the sc for the past 2 weeks or so - touch panel gets heated up (after it fell in the water...)
Any one from our device???
here is the file try it is for a110
Just wipe Battery Cache from CWM....Itll rebuild the stats itself... Dont use another device's stats.... Its nothing but stats...Wont increase battery Power

I did wipe battery cache, and It didn't create battery stats file...
Using the stats file from the same brand is not gonna effect the rom in any way, can't understand the reason why i shouldn't with my experience...
When we talk about calibration its all about stats dude, nevertheless to say they are very important, that is the reason why they kept "batterstats.bin".
Even if we wipe, so that device creates new one, it takes few battery cycles to fill up the optimized stats, hope you understand, after using the provided batterystats.bin my device's stats are pretty stable..
So silly that you were raising the point of "raising the battery power", If you have read my post, you would have already found out that I was never expecting to raise battery power by just replacing the mere stats... It is all about calibration so it is all about stats...
Any way thanks for your inputs...
I have lost touch too . Will go to mmx svc on Thursday . I month warranty left . Second time my phone having problems . First time speaker problem. In call speaker . Now touch problem . Never mediatek chinese crap again ever . Back to my Nokia c7 and Samsung s3 .

[Q] charging problem

Hey everyone!
I need some help
I'm on ultimate nexus rom(4.2.2)
And I'm using xtreme rejoice kernel
Yesterday i flashed bindass boost kernel for testing purposes
And the phone started to behave abnormally
(The kernel is really good and smooth, the developer has done a great job)
But in my case, i ran into a little problems
Now my phone's battery isn't charging
Or if charging then it's not showing the increase in charge
I flashed back the xtreme rejoice kernel
But the problem still persists
I've tried using different chargers
My phone is now plugged in from 1.5 hrs
And the charge is the same
But if i restart my phone the charge increases after reboot
I've tried reflashing my kernel and rom
Even a clean install
What might it be?
Is it a damaged battery?
Or a software bug i'm experiencing
And also the colour of led till yesterday was lighter
And today it's darker
Somebody help please!
Thanks in advance!
Restarted and I'm dowm to 24%
Please somebody help!

I had faced the same problem last 2months ago. Whenever I restarted my phone it will either increase or decrease.
What I had done is in that bad condition I charged whole night and the next day I flashed back the ROM properly.
Whatever battery % was left I ended up to 0 and then tried charging and it took to 100% then I calibrated it. Its working fine for me till date
Check if it helps you and if it does hit thanks

Check by calibrating else your battery might be the culprit.

[Completed] Help me with my battery

Hey guys
I bought Galaxy A7 2016 one month ago .. I heard that I should charge it when it's 15% and not to charge it more than 90% .. I have read alot of articles from Google engineers speaking about that so I don't charge it until 100% more than once or twice a week .. but now my battery goes down normally until it gets 4% .. the phone shut down immediately
Please help me what to do .. it's still a new phone

Greetings and welcome to assist. I can see you have already asked this question in your rom thread here
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3509237
so it may be a bug in the rom. Things you can do are
1. Install better battery stats and monitor it for 24 hours then upload your results in the thread to see what is draining the battery
2. Install a battery saving apk like Servicely or if you have xposed amplify or greenify and this will help put rogue apps to sleep
Regards
Sawdoctor
I'm on stock rom bro and I don't have root any more
I'm not talking about bad battery .. I am just saying that my last 4 percent of battery goes in 2 minutes

I'm not sure if it is dependent on battery type. But some battery types can regenerate little when stopped being used (switched off). It is chemical regeneration. Similar process happens when battery goes to 0. After some time it can power device again for few seconds. It do not repeat endlessly. Also the voltage drop that is taken (I assume) to calculation of the battery % is not straight line. It drops slowly when full and rapidly when near empty.
