Hi all, I have a problem with my mate8 ... after I installed TWRP next rom (NXT-L29C432B170) can not just write anything in fastboot. I fastboot unlocked but not take any order. I can not do root. I can not flash custom recovery. I can not flash another rom. I can not change themes. Help me please.
I'm going through the same problem .. and I've tried all possible methods I found on internet but nothing worked for me ..
now my phone situation is:
I can maximum go to fastboot or Huawei eRecovery mode ..
on Fastboot:
I tried to use italian knife to; unbrick, install recovery but nothing worked ..
on Huawei eRecovery:
I connect with my wifi but after few searches or loading it give the error ..
I tried Huawei PC software it says I can't use system recovery ...
First I was able to go to TWRP recovery and there I tried different custom and stock roms to flash but after flash it was giving 'System is booting now....' and stays here and when I tried to resolved it, I lost my TWRP recovery too ... now I've nothing except fastboot and Huawei eRecovery ... can anybody please help us all ..?

Try the followings:
1) download the update.zip from: http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/huawei-mate-8-stock-firmware-official-t3391727
2) Extract UPDATE.APP
3) Create a folder dload on a SD card and put it in the phone
4) Push the power+volume up+volume down at the same time
If it works the phone will run the UPDATE.APP and you will be back with the stock rom.

In step 3 you need to put the UPDATE.APP in the dload folder.

Try to dload the update.app from the rollback package from this website:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/best-easiest-to-rollback-to-emui-4-0-t3507399
Try all three to see which one works for you. If the rollback update.app works then you can dload the update.app for the firmware you used before.

Can anyone explain the steps,Please
Go to root tools:
http://www.mediafire.com/?9drsdo2f6hn4j34 .
Delete custom recovery from cmd, and copy/paste stock recovery.
From fastboot/rescue mode: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
It this doesn't work, extract (huawei extractor) stock recovery from stock rom.

Or, copy stock rom (two files) to dload folder on sd card and press volume+, volume- and power button at the same time. This works for sure.
I cant boot my mate 8 after i stupidly tried to debrand it flashing the images of firmware with fastboot. Now i can only boot in erecovery (but it doesnt download and recover the phone) and in fastboot mode, i really need your help guys. My phone model is NXT-L29C432 and firmware preflash B320
DLOAD METHOD WASNT WORKING BECAUSE OF A PROBLEM OF MY MICROSD, THREAD CAN BE CLOSED.
I finally got to twrp with an insecure boot.img, if someone can help me now, i dont know what to flash to make my phone work again
Download last ROM you were on and extract and put update.app in your Sd card root directory in dload folder (create one if you dont have). Insert SD card in phone, boot into software update mode and it will start updating automatically

Hello everyone,
I'm actually in front of a big problem. I try this night to upgrade from FRD-L09C432B120 to FRD-L09C432B316. Since I try it, my phone stay on a Warning screen and i can't do anything. (Just try to shut down by a long press on power button and it make a reboot and it's the same for every key combination).
I can't go in Recovery or eRecovery. The only things that works is the fastboot mode. I try to flash the stock firmware after an extract of "UPDATE.APP" but the system image give me an error. I also try to put UPDATE.APP on the SD Card but I can't access to the update mode (by press vol+ , vol- and power button). I think that i've try all the ideas that i've fund on internet !
I've no more ideas. Do you think that is possible to unbrick it ?
Thanks to your help and your reply.

So it's a failure . which mean that it is a semi flashed update . which doesn't installed update.app .
Extract update.app from ota and put it in dload folder .later flash it manually using dload method .
He should follow this way to overcome those reboots

HONOR 8 Bricked
Hello ,
It happened on my FRD-L04, but I think is the same.
Bootloader is unlocked ?
1. Do you have all drivers installed ? OK
2.Do you have STOCK ROM ? OK. If not, use Huawei Firmare Finder to find suitable ROM. Be aware what you choose !!!
3. Unzipp (WinRar) the ROM.
4.Download and install Huawei Update Extractor. Run Huawei Update Extractor . Choose Update.app from the folder you unzipped the ROM.
5. Select cust.img , boot.img , recovery.img and system.img and extract them on a folder.
6.. Install MultiTool by Team (Multi Tool Team). The instalation will make a folder named UNBRICK.
7. Move the files extracted : cust.img , boot.img , recovery.img and system.img on the folder UNBRICK
8. Run MultiTool . Choose option 6 (unbrick) and after that choose option 2 ( if you already have files on folder UNBRICK)
9. Let the tool finish the job.
NOTE : You must have all drivers installed and the phone in FASTBOOT mode ( turn phone OFF - Press VOL- and insert USB cable simultaneously.)
Good luck !
Hi, thanks everyone for your reply.
Unfortunatly, the dload method seems not work. I think that to run this method, i need to press simultaneously vol+, vol- and the power button to run it, right ?
If it's like that, the method doesn't work anymore.
I will try the process given by technoguy09 and I said to you if it's ok !
So, after many try, every method that i try doesn't work.
Even the Unbrick method doesn't work because the system and cust report an error.
For the cust, i have "partition error" and for the system I have the "sparse flash write failure". Can we correct this error ?

I try at least 3 ROM download on different website. I don't think that it can change anything.
I had the same problem.
Dont worry, Honor 8 phones are nearly unbrickable.
Take your B120 ROM extract recovery, cust and boot partitions. (use huawei update extractor)
Flash Them via fastboot (adb) then force the dload method via the 3 buttons combo.
I had all the problems you described and restored my phone as new. (even the "sparse flash write failure" error)
Now i'm on EMUI 5 rooted, no problem

I think i know what you have done wrong, you didnt flashed the rollback package.
Here you have the rollback package for your device http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=92134&version=363841&siteCode=it-h
Here you have the firmware, just to be sure it's the corect one http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=92104&version=360397&siteCode=it-h
Now the proces is simple.
First, unzip the rollback package, copy the update.app to dload folder and do the force update (Press and hold Volume UP+Volume Down+Power Button)
Second do the same things but now with the update.app from the B131 firmware zip.
DONT PUT BOTH update.app at once. First the rollback update.app and then the B131 update.app.

I had some strange things at BUILD when i flashed the rollback too, but there wasnt any problem. So when i flashed the B131 everything was fine. Try doing a factory reset on B300 and then flash again the B131. I dont know what to say more, but here is why you have this problems, because you tried to flash B131 over B360....
Yes I did some factory reset and wipe but still fail when I install B131 :/

There is always a solution, don't get panicked. Remember that once you unlocked your phone your warranty got voided. So I don't think Huawei's customer service will give you any advice with your problem.
Try following this:
Can you get into "bootloader"?
If yes, try to extract the needed image files from the B360 update that you used before and follow this guide provided by @eksasol https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=70620803&postcount=9
This video gives you an idea on how to use the Huawei Firmware Extractor Tool: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAtoaL6i_i0
A good note of advice I'll give you my friend. If you get to fix your phone once more, don't tried anything else on it until you are more proficient on how to solve problems by searching and learning from other members' experiences. Use the forum's search tool and you'll find many posts related to your question. I've been helping you through private messages for several issues so far. Don't take me wrong but even though we members like helping others we can't be your private customer care consultants. Hope you can recover your phone's functionality once more.
Regards,
I don't have acces to bootloader, since the developer option is bugged and i can't enabling usb debugging, so i can't reboot on bootloader

As far as I know you don't need the debugging option to access the bootloader and use the "fastboot" commands to push the image files.
Just turn off your phone connect it to your computer and use the "Volume down + power on" procedure to get into bootloader.
On the other hand, if for some reason the "OEM unlocking" option was disabled in your phone's /settings/developer options/ then that's gonna be a problem I think, but I'm not a 100%. This might not let you flash the image files through fastboot. Try it and let me know.

Sorry, I think you misunderstood what I wrote. Let me clarify myself, to get to bootloader you turn off your phone first, then by pressing "volume down/power on" simultaneously until you feel the phone vibrating and see the blue screen. This should get you to the bootloader.
---------- Post added at 05:40 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:27 PM ----------
Remember to connect your phone first to your computer using the usb/type C cable before attempting to go to the bootloader. I you fail to do this the phone will just reboot normally.

Good. But I don't think flashing TWRP will work but give it a try. I know this from my own experience. What you really need is to flash the recovery.img from the B360 update.zip using fastboot command. That way you'll be able to use the dload method and flash the rollback update.app and after that the update.app from the B131 full zip. That should get you back to stock.

What you really need is to flash the recovery.img from the B360 update.zip using fastboot command. That way you'll be able to use the dload method and flash the rollback update.app and after that the update.app from the B131 full zip. That should get you back to stock.

So I extracted and flashed via fastboot boot.img, system.img, recovery.img from B360( there are no cust.img in the archive)
After I wipe and reboot. Then install rollback update.app, then update.app B131 but it fail at 25%
But now menu working good and I oculd install a keyboard and do what i want. Maybe i will just stay like this. All is working and i'm on B360. It doesn't matter if I have no root

First the rollback update.app and then the B131 update.app.

how to restore my emui
hi i just got a honor 6x and i have been following guides and at one point i had lineage os 13 on the phone but it would only boot to the password screen
so then i side loaded resurrection os 5.7 and it didnt have wifi so i tried upgrading emui and now i can't install any rom it just hangs at "patching ssytem unconditonally"
i have TWRP running on the phone. i just want to go back to stock OS. please help how do i do this?
unknown command [errno] update_huawei_pkg_from_ota_zip from zip failed
when i try to flash the stock huawei rom
i can run fastboot and twrp but nothing else works. i will paypal 15 dollars to someone who can help me
You can download the full firmware directly from honor, unzip it, and place the update.app file in a dload folder that you create on your sd card. Power of the phone then hold volume up, down, and power at the same time to initiate an automatic flash of the room you downloaded. This will erase everything, so be aware.
1.Download full rom from huawei support site then extract update.app
2.place it in dload folder using twrp (in twrp enable MTP)
3.Now extract the recovery.img from update.app using huawei extractor and flash it using fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
4.now power off phone then start phone holding Volume Up ,Volume Down & power button simultaneously
5.it will start updating

I had the same problem once.
You can try to flash the cust partition of your phone. The "device verification failed"-message should disappear then. It's not enough to only flash boot, system and recovery. If there is a problem with the cust partition of your phone you can also have problems with flashing stock roms via "dload"-method.
1. Download the right stock firmware via the huawei firmware finder. You usually have two .zip files (e.g. update.zip & update_full_BLN-L21_hw_eu.zip). The image file for the cust partition can be found in the update_full_BLN-L21_hw_eu.zip (choose the right one for your model).
2. Unpack update_full_BLN-L21_hw_eu.zip and extract the cust partition with the huawei firmware extractor.
3. Put your phone into fastboot mode
4. Use the following command: fastboot flash cust cust.img
5. Try to boot into your stock rom.
