QPST no phone problem - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am Sprint S5, and I want to add all lte and gsm bands to my phone but the problem is that qpst cannot detect my phone, I have done nearly every thing ,I rooted my phone then installed cyangenmod 12.1 update usb drivers done everything and my 5 days gone searching here and there still no fix .

I am here for a solution as well. Same problem.
Sent from SM-G900Pkltespr

Same problem here too. Search results don't seem to be helping so far.
Shows up fine in Odin3_v3.12.3.exe , run as administrator.
SM-G900P running "G900PVPU2BOD3_G900PSPT2BOD3_SPR", so Android 5.0 OD3, kernel version 3.4.0-4631307.
Phone set to "CDMA Modem" and "RNDIS + DM + Modem" modes, via dialer code "##3424#".
"USB Debugging" mode already turned on (but keeps turning off on every reboot).
SAMSUNG_USB_Driver.exe version 1.5.51.0 installed successfully on Windows 7 x64.
Phone shows in Devmgmt.msc as "SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem" , driver version 2.11.11.0.
QPST 2.7 Build 4.1.1 installed successfully.
"QPST Configuration" > Ports > "Add New Port" , shows:
"COM1 - Serial (Communications Port)"
"COM3 - USB/QC Data Modem (SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem, xxxxxxxx)"
"COM4 - USB/Unknown (SAMSUNG Mobile USB Serial Port , xxxxxxxx)"
Placing a checkmark in "Show Serial and USB/QC Diagnostic ports only" hides the second two.
But selecting any/all of those three results in the QPST Ports screen showing "No phone connected" for each.
Tried DEVMGMT.MSC > Right click "SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem" > Update > Browse > "Let me pick" > "Show compatible hardware" checkmarked , which shows 4 results with same name. Tried each one, no change.
Any ideas?
---- EDIT 20170104 ----
Managed to get much further, after much research and many hours of messing around.
Unless I am mistaken, the option "CDMA Modem" (via dialer code "##3424#" , or "CP" via dialer code "*#0808#") just doesn't want to stick.
But the main problem now is that the communications connection just seems to reset or something after a short time.
My process:
Devmgmt.msc > modems > RIGHT CLICK on "SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem" > Properties > Modem tab > Com port at top.
QPST Config > Ports > Add New Port > UNCHECKMARK "Show Serial and USB/QC Diagnostic ports only" box > Should be 3 ports, ignore COM1 and the same COM port as listed in DEVMGMT.MSC , use the remaining one.
Example:
COM3 is reported in DEVMGMT.MSC for "SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem".
In QPST:
"COM1 - Serial (Communications Port)" --(Shows also when box is checkmarked.)
"COM3 - USB/QC Data Modem (SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem, xxxxxxxx)"
"COM4 - USB/Unknown (SAMSUNG Mobile USB Serial Port , xxxxxxxx)"
So add COM4, (Also, optionally: Right click COM4 in the "Ports" tab of the main QPST window and click "switch modem port to diagnostic mode").
Then "Start Client" menu > "Software Download" option > new popup window happens > "Backup" tab > Input the SPC (MSL) code in the box ("000000" gave error: "SPC given could not unlock the phone", so called Sprint and got the real MSL / SPC code) > "Start" button > then always at 12% comes "Status: Memory Backup Failed" and "Errors: Could not Communicate in Diagnostic Mode".
Close QPST Configuration program.
Open QPST Service Programming (ran as Administrator) program.
New phone connection > select phone > "retry" a bunch of times > "UMTS System" tab > "Read from phone" button > prompted for MSL, so I put in the MSL > wait > "The phone has stopped responding to memory read/write commands".
So the problem appears that the communications connection seems to reset or something after a short time.
Any ideas?

MTTY basic use

Hello,
I'm trying to fix a problem in another thread and can not get MTTY to connect to my Tilt 8900. Is 1.42 the current version? Shouldn't USB be available in the list of Ports? I only have COM 1,2,3 & 7 available to choose and I have deselected "Allow USB connections" in Windows Mobile Device Center.
Once I get MTTY to connect, how does this program even work? Do I just type a command like 'boot' and hit enter?
Thanks for your help.
type USB when you go to select COM port.. (instead of com type USB)

[HELP] Diag not detected

I have a Tab 2 7.0, and I have my IMEI Erased.
Tried every method found in the forums but no luck.
I found that QPST or NV_write method can get my IMEI back but I am unable to connect my tab to PC
when I switch my mode to modem from PDA in *#7284# and connect to my PC
My PC detects its as 7cds + comneon Suspend and failed to install the drivers.
I've Kies installed but no luck
Switched USB port but result is same
switched PC but same
tried my friend's tab (same like mine) with settings USB->Modem to see weather there is problem with my USB but again no drivers.... i. e. no probs with my tab
Tried This method
You need to swith UART and USB settings:
enter UART mode with *#9090# and select "Log via UART"
then
enter *#7284# and select "UART MODEM" and select "USB PDA".
Now Windows ask normal samsung drivers!
Click to collapse
but i don't have the "log via UART" instide I have "log via USB" which upon selecting gives me an error ""LOG PATH SET FAIL".
and then on selecting Modem on Diag menu gives me the same responce...
note: I dont have the DM+MODEM+ADB but only modem or PDA option... I guess it said to be "mux menu" for us.. correct me if I am wrong
Please Help me...

can't connect to hisuite

Hi, Hisuite application on my pc give me connection failed although i did everything , enabled USB debugging , reinstalled the driver and restarted mylaptop & my phone , installed the latest version of hisuite . so is there any solution for this problem please: ) .
i have huawei mate 7 TL10 and running windows 8.1 on my laptop
i don know if this will help u but you can try to get a new adb driver? just search here
Sent from my HUAWEI MT7-TL10
I've the same problem, my head was almost going to breaked from this app, so my suggestion is to follows this steps carefully:
1. Download "Revouninstaller freeware" Not PRO version (select hisuite you've installed, right click, uninstall, select moderate mode to uninstall program from it's root)
2. On your phone activates "Developer mode" by pressing 10-times on "Build Number" located at Phone Settings > About
3. Enable "USB Debugging"
4. Connect your phone to Laptop/PC via "USB cable"
5. Select on your phone "PC Suite"
6. On your laptop/PC, Autorun window with CD logo just close it, Go to "My computer" then "open the virtual CD" then open & install the "HiSuite package" came with your phone.
7. Don't launch the app, Go to install directory of the "HiSuite" in your "Drive C > Program Files" and locate an apk file contains the "HiSuite.Apk"
8. You should send that to your phone via "Bluetooth or E-mail, whatever you wish"
9. On your phone, After copying the apk app Locate that Apk, then install it.
10. Now open it, plug the USB, Now Open the HiSuite App
Don't do anything in the app leave it until it connect automatically by itself.
Note:
A) New Hisuite PC software didn't work with me because i don't have it's HiSuite.Apk of the same version.
B ) If you've installed HiSuite.apk from outside sources than the one came with your phone I suggest you delete from your phone via "App Manager".
C) I will upload my "HiSuite 1.8.10.apk" just in case if yours didn't work or didn't find it BUT Your PC Software should be of the same version I.e. HiSuite 1.8
Download link - http://www39.zippyshare.com/v/HavIU39W/file.html
D) If no option works, close both apps in your phone and Laptop/PC, reopen app on your Phone and select "connect via wireless mode" get the password, open app on your laptop/PC select "wireless mode" type password and press "connect"
Good Luck

Thanks man ! Now my HiSuite is working !
idk if anyone had this problem but i had my tablet (m5 mediapro) locked and when i unlocked it everything went perfectly. stupid me, hehe.
How to connect to HiSuite
I could not connect, and landed in this discussion which did not give me any solution.
Then after much reading, I found the solution that unlocked things for me :
1.Go to settings/Developer options, and set "Select USB configuration" as Media Transfer Protocol(MTP)
2. Start Hisuite and lo and behold, now when I enable hdb, I get the dialog to allow hiSuite and am able to click OK.
Note that enabling MTP also made Windows 10 capable to access the phone memory through a window, like a USB stick.
I post this for others in the same predicament, hoping it gives them the solution
thank you very much its working
II have just found hisuit.apk in C programfiles hisuite apk
send it to my self trough email and install it -allowing installation from other sources first(.
After this next connecting was not saying connecting and making loop till the infinity.
thanks a lot

Question USB driver

I have such a problem with this phone that after connecting with a USB cable, windows does not recognize it. Are there any USB drivers for this phone?
Its should be recognised and drivers installed automatically. File transfer mode won't be activated straight away until you change connection settings (default is only charging) - if you are wondering - phone storage is not showing up.

I change the connection settings but it has no effect. The drivers are not installing. For the same port (the first time) I connect POCO X3 and the drivers install automatically, everything works.
Are you on windows 10?
Download driver. -> Windows Device manager -> Ports (COM) -> Right click one with yellow triangle -> Update Driver -> Browse my Computer -> folder you saved driver (extract .rar/zip beforehand). You might need to disable driver signature by going to advanced start up settings.
I activated developer mode and set the USB behavior in it as needed

[GUIDE] Bypass FRP on Nokia 5.1 Plus (X5)

In this guide I'll describe how to bypass FRP on Nokia 5.1 Plus.
It works on Pie and Q, not tested with Oreo (but should also work).
Steps:1. Connect the device to Wi-Fi.
2. Tap Back until the welcome screen appears.
3. Select any language with non-Latin keyboard (if so, you'll be able to switch between keyboard layouts). I selected Lao (ລາວ).
4. Tap "Let's go" (ເລີ່ມເລີຍ) > "Skip" (ຂ້າມໄປ) > "See all Wi-Fi networks" (ເບິ່ງທຸກເຄືອຂ່າຍ Wi-Fi) > "Add a new network" (ເພີ່ມເຄືອຂ່າຍໃໜ່) > press the "Change language" button > press "OK". press "Change language" button > "Language settings" (ການຕັ້ງຄ່າພາສາ) > "Add keyboard" (ເພີ່ມເເປ້ນພິມ) > select random keyboard to avoid resetting keyboard settings when changing language > "Done" (ເເລ້ວໆ).
5. Return to the Welcome screen and change the language to English (or your language).
6. Go back to "Connect to Wi-Fi" screen > "Add new network" > long press "Change language" button > "Language settings" > "Add keyboard" > select any language with arrow (>) next to it > three dots menu > "Help & feedback".
7. Search for "write in morse code" and open the first result.
8. Play the video and tap the "Watch on YouTube" button. Chrome browser will open.
9. Open a new tab and search for Activity Launcher application and download APK. I recommend to download it from APKPure or F-Droid.
10. Install and open the app. You need to allow Chrome to install unknown apps.
11. Locate the FQC app and launch the FQC activity (com.evenwell.fqc.FQCTestItemListActivity).
12. Connect the device to your PC.
13. If you don't have ADB on your PC, get it from Google - Windows, Linux, MacOS
14. On the PC, open the directory with ADB in Terminal or PowerShell, type
Code:
./adb shell
Or, if you are using cmd
Code:
adb shell
When prompted, allow USB debugging. Type
Code:
settings put global setup_wizard_has_run 1
settings put secure user_setup_complete 1
settings put global device_provisioned 1
reboot
15. Enjoy your unlocked phone!

UPDATE:
Recently, I found a much easier way to remove FRP on almost all devices with Mediatek SoC. It can be done using MTKClient by wiping frp partition. I recommend using GUI, but there is also CLI: python3 mtk e frp. This will pernamently unlock your device - after another factory reset via android settings you will never have to do the procedure again anymore!
