Someone on reddit posted about an app called Good Lock in Galaxy Apps. My only gripe is the recents menu. Would have preferred the card view but I use the notification tray more so I'm keeping it. Looks very similar to stock android.

Link? And that recent menu is awful...

Things I've noticed:
Good:
Faster fingerprint unlock
Stock notification bar icons like OP said
Notification snoozing
Double tap to open app from lock screen notification
Bad:
Breaks Nova Launcher smooth notification drawer opening animation, back to the slow animation
No material theme, and any color you select retains a light theme for notifications
Recents menu is a mess
Only one of the lockscreen clocks supports alarm, the others just show an icon
video of fingerprint unlock speed, its pretty ludicrous:

That itself is worth it for me.
Primary downsides is def the recents menu, but I can get used to that. Also as mentioned above, the notification drawer speed when used on novalauncher/all in one gestures is really slow coming down
How do you change the theme? Dont really like purple...
Edit: ah, its a routine!
Video showcasing all the features.
Holy crap this is so much nicer.
Thanks OP.
For anyone wondering how to configure, fully extend the setting panel, then click the 2nd from the right cog.
I love it. I think as time goes on it will get more polished but I can't go back to stock anymore

I really like what they have done with this, yep its got a few aesthetic issues with the color schemes but the way it handles notifications is good.It also needs options to alter the toggles and pick what you want, but for a first release this is quite good.
I liked it, but had to uninstall it again. It didn't keep apps in memory for long, causing multitasking to be unusable. Shame really and I hope they fix it for the next version. Will keep an eye on this thing and see how it develops.

In regards to this if you are rooted enable "Expand action using root" option in look and feel section of Nova Smooth as butter now..

Definitely a work in progress, and the longer I ran it the buggier it seemed to get, but with a little work this would be worth it for the notification handling alone. It also made unlocking with a fingerprint virtually instantaneous.
I hope Samsung's watching these forums, because with a little work, and some more flexibility in terms of colors and toggles, this would definitely be my lockscreen of choice.

I am on CM7 and had been using ADW but it seemed really sluggish between screens. I installed LP and it is really smooth now. I do not like the way LP looks though (the 5 icons). Can I make it look like ADW did in CM7?
I have figured out how to change the icons but not make it only 3 icons.

If you long press on the icon you want to remove you can set the shortcut to "Blank" and then change the icon if need be.

Did you try playing with ADW's settings? There are presets and also you can disable some of the animations to smooth things out.

Perfect, exactly what I was looking for!
C Brown -
Yes, I played with the settings a bit. The lagginess that I am referring to is that when I swipe from screen to screen, the screen ends up being like a half second behind my finger. With LP it's in sync. That may seem like a stupid complaint, but it bothers me.

I had the exact same complaints. LP wins in my opinion. Plus is also quite nice if you think you'll stick with it.
I've often been back and forth between the two.
ADWex LauncherPro Plus
Excellent customization. Widgets.
Pre-made themes. Super smooth scrolling.
Icon packs. Option of blanking out dockbar icon.
Both are great, and I've thoroughly been familiarized with each one. But these are basically the only differences.
I personally ended up going with LP because I am anal about how smooth scrolling is... but if ADW had the same elegance, I would pick ADW because it definitely has way more options for customization.
Currently, myself and a few other people are working on porting Samsungs TouchWiz and HTC Sense 4.0 over to the Play.
After some Google searching, I came upon a Launcher that is close to the Galaxy S3 interface. The guy who made it says its the extracted TouchWiz though. So it may be just a Launcher or it may be the actual S3 TouchWiz
Install via CWM. No need for wipe (do a backup just to be on the safe side and incase you dont like it).
Screenshots are the Homescreen and the App Drawer
To add Messaging, Phone etc into your dock bar, first drag and drop out of the app drawer onto your homescreen, then drag and drop from there.
Widgets can be added by longpressing the home screen by pressing "add to homescreen" followed by "apps" then clicking the widgets tab up top. It's easier to do this through the app drawer however
I'm running this over MIUI and still get the MIUI notification bar, lockscreen and settings.

Awesome! Might switch over from Apex for this
This is the default launcher from sgs3. It is nice.

I'm interested in the Touchwiz port, PM Me if you want me to test, I love the UX!
awesome!!
They changed things for no reason. Why doesn't the wallpaper scroll anymore? And how come, for expanding notifications, you have to pinch instead of swiping down with two fingers? It's far less intuitive and doesn't work for me 80% of the time. Text message font size is bigger (even on small), and they took away all the good skins and widget themes.
I'm about to switch back to an ICS sense ROM or CM10.

I agree with you.
I just received OTA 4.1.1 from Fido(Rogers), but it's not Sense 4.1. I'm really disappointed.
The pinch to zoom to expand the notification is crap, however, iirc it was like this for all phones that had 4.1.1 and is improved by having to only swipe down in 4.1.2
Also, the text size in the stock sms app can be resized to be the same size as it was in sense V4.1, just pinch to zoom right out.
My main dislike with V4+ is:
- the notification thing you said, although as said I think this is due to the android version and when/if we get 4.1.2, it should be much better
- the power saver in the notification tray constantly
- the battery usage screens, completely ruined it especially the history screen
I don't really use any sense apps now, have replaced most with 3rd party apps from the market.
HTC is suicidal.

Clearly, because three people have matching opinions.
AW: Sense 4+ is really bad
I like it

Looks like our high DPI screen makes some widgets very small. I downloaded an APK for the CM10.1 lock screen and home screen widget called cLock. I placed it on my home screen but it is much smaller than I expected. It's not so small that I can't see.
I have that too. Guess it's not optimized for 1080p screens ..

Hello,
I am trying to work my way through setting up my new S7 Edge the way I like it, and it proves quite difficult. I'm coming from an LG G2 and now I find I don't have a "double tap to wake" or "double tap to sleep" option which drives me nuts. I know that the wake option is hardware-based and kernel-related, but I need at least the double-tap to sleep feature and Nova Launcher supports it, but I hate the appearance of that launcher and I need some sort of theme that looks like the default theme. Now I did find some TouchWiz themes for Nova Launcher but not with the new-style icons (squircles). Does anyone know of such a theme in existence ?
Thanks !
Edit...sorry. I now see you don't want the squircles icons. My bad.
I used TouchWiz Icon Pack on the Google Play Store.

Search up "TW icons" in the playstore. The icons reminds me of the iOS icons.
As a sidenote and a former G2 user as well. If you choose to use nova launcher just for the sake of dtw, you won't be able to use your fingerprints to unlock the device for security reasons. I just learned to accept it, and use the power buttons. After a few days it wasn't that bad, and i honestly don't miss it anymore. Fingerprint scanning is just too convinient. But don't get me wrong, Nova Launcher is still the best launcher in my oppinion, and highly customizable. I could never use the stock launcher. Nova launcher is the first thing i install. Was the case on my G2, my G4 and now on my S7 Edge...
