Samsung Solstice II AT&T unlocked on T-Mobile (issues with Mobile email) - General Questions and Answers

**ADMIN: I realize this is not for an Android phone but I really need some answers and don't want to sign up for any other forum page.**
I have an AT&T Samsung Solstice II which I have unlocked and currently having to use on T-Mobile.
While T-Mobile automatically sent me the APN settings and they installed, I can't use the Mobile Email applications or any other AT&T app.
I need to be able to log into my G-Mail using this device and I can't because it says Service currently unavailable. Try again later.
I need to know how to set up the mobile settings so that the Mobile Email will work on T-Mobile despite this being an unlocked AT&T phone
...
Got two new phones since and that one broke so I don't use it anymore

[Q] Htc Hd2 Android At&t

I am using the t mobile HTC HD2, I have it unlocked and running it for my at&t network. I have also started using the android program through my sim card, so basically my phone is running on the android interface. It works great, however i cannot access the internet nor send/receive picture messages. I need to figure out the VPN setting or Proxy setting for the at&t provider. Since at&t does not have this phone they are unable to help on where or how to do it.
Anyone got this same situation and figured it out?!
Please help, thanks

I'm unable reply to this thread in the forum because i'm not a developper. How can I ask some question to this user ? Thank you !!!!
Sorry but its been a long time since Bada devices went obsolete, I'd recommend you buy a new phone.

i have done it, and it worked for me but my samsung wave was unlocked, so there you go, but then unlocking it was only 15$ for me, so you have to decide do you wanna pay 15 $ for bada 2.0? and other thing if you have mobile data, somehow the apps on venezuela bada 2.0 doesn't pick up mobile data, and bell was unable to help, i was able to tether other devices with that firmware but not use the internet on the samsung wave itself. wifi works though, the firmware is pretty stable, correction very stable,, i even put different themes only available for bada 2.0 and some apps everything works fine, but the only thing is you can't use mobile data itself on samsung wave after getting bada 2.0, you can use wifi for all the internet needs on the phone, anyways, if you are planning to use this phone you are not paying for data plan to bell, if you are ready to pay for data plan to bell, you can get free phone with android on it, like ACE IIx, or even in black friday deals, samsung S4 or S3. so if you are not using mobile data, get it unlocked and go for it read the instructions perfectly, i did it twice without problems..

How to configure my Samsung Eternity for the Bell Mobility 4G network?
Contact us
1.Install a Bell SIM card
2.Configure browser settings
3.Configure multimedia messaging service (MMS) settings
Configure browser settings
To manually configure your device for browsing on the Bell Mobility 4G network, follow these steps:
Navigate to Access Point settings: Menu -> Settings -> Connectivity -> Network Profiles.
Select Options (left softkey) -> New.
Enter the following settings:
Name: Bell WAP Connection
APN: proxy.bell.ca
Auth Type: Normal
User ID: Blank
Password: Blank
Protocol: HTTP
Home URL: http://homepage
Proxy Address: web.wireless.bell.ca:80
Longer Time (sec.): 300
Select Save.
Navigate to Menu -> Internet -> Options (left softkey) -> Advanced -> Browser Settings.
Select the profile created above.
Note: If you bought your phone from another mobile provider, the Go to URL option (Options > Go to URL) may be hardcoded to go to that provider’s WAP page. This page will not load under the Bell settings and you will not be able to enter a different URL this way. Instead, go to Bookmarks (Options > View Bookmark) and enter a URL as a bookmark.

[Q] Internet Sharing on unlocked WP

Hi, i buy unlocked AT&T Phone . I active this phone (Samsung Focus 2 WP 7.5) to Telus (Canadian carrier), and to be able to get internet, i add this line in adn:sp.telus.com. My problem is, my phone has the option or internet sharing. But every time i want to share internet, i get the message (go to your at&t account) and log... I try Heathcliff74 Interop Unlock for Samsung WP7 2nd Generation, when i go to my connection manager, i can click on the default provider, but the only option is AT&T 3G or AT&T 4G, the is no option to add a new carrier.
I dont know what to do, i also try this (idea from this forum) shutdown the phone, boot it and immediatly go to internet sharing and share, this solution not working.
I want to know if a solution is possible.
My phone is unlock, but i dont know how it was made, the guy that sold me the phone dont tell me, and i dont have is number...
Is there a was to unlock fully the phone ? Is this can change something?

Accessing Verizon HTC 8x windows backend

I have a problem that I need to know if anyone has an answer for.... I have a Verizon HTC Windows 8x that is unlocked and running on T mobile. I purchased this phone thinking it was fully functional on craigslist. I found out that once you unlock this verizon version phone, it removes the apn mms settings (Cannot send or receive picture messaging), your reception will on go to E or G and not 3G or $G, and you cannot access the internet share options.
I am looking for a way to access the back end and turn these features back on in this phone????
Malcolm
Thank you in advance...

hello
there is no such thing as a backend on this mobile platform
most of this stuff is controlled by the registry
the only limitations known for this device are related to the evdo services on it, impact directly on internet sharing, sms sending
as far for 3G / H+ it should work but it will never activate LTE on standard UMTS Services
also please check for workaround regarding sms and the other "painpoints"
regards

Unlocked SM-J237P can't send/receive MMS

I purchased this J3 Emerge from Sprint and later carrier unlocked it and ported to T-Mobile. The phone can make and receive calls and data works but MMS fails both for media and for group texts. I have updated the APN based on T-mobiles recommendations but no luck. The T-Mobile tech support guy (who actually seemed very knowledgeable) said that some unlocked sprint phones basically get locked to using Sprint's servers to download and upload MMS. I asked him if rooting the phone would allow better access to this and he was unsure, so that is my question:
Is there a custom ROM or root app that will fix this phone's ability to send and receive MMS?
Thanks in advance!
