Wireless Charging Car Mount - X Style (Pure) Accessories

I'm coming from a Nexus 5 and had gotten pretty used to wireless charging. Had a mount in my car that supported Qi, and it had been at least a year since I messed with a USB cable.
Love my new Moto X and bought a coil that takes up the micro USB, but am having trouble finding a car mount big enough to support the larger MXPE. Any ideas?

I used the tylt vu car mount.
http://www.tylt.com/car-products/vu-car-wireless-charger
Worked really well. Phone (LG g2) would get pretty warm wireless charging with screen on navigating. I'm curious about this coil that you're using...please post a link. Thanks

This is the coil: http://www.ebay.com/itm/25203978870...49&var=550898634010&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT
It's pretty generic, but you have to have a thin case for it to work. You also have to get the coil with the microUSB oriented the right direction or else it will cover the screen.
I use this case which I like, but the coil shows through covering the bottom of the Motorola logo which doesn't look too pretty.

If I find a solution that works in the car I'll get a Seidio Surface, which would hide the coil completely, and is wireless charging friendly.

Tylt typically has sales often so don't let the high price be a detraction. They make nice products. Sign up for the email so get the sales. The vu car mount would easily handle the mxpe.
Edit: sprung for a qi coil similar (rerrii on Amazon) to the one you have. Invested in a case too. I did notice that there are only a couple cases that cover the Moto M. Tudia slim arch and JOTO hybrid to name a couple.

I like the Tylt, but I can't use it. I installed a USB charging port in my car (splicing the constant hot from the stereo). It charges much faster than the lighter port, which for some reason doesn't always work. So I was looking for something to straight to USB.
On a whim I ordered this charging pad which is .2 mm thick. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EBQ8RSG/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Going to put it in the TaoTronics Universal mount. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00MXWFUQC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Should be enough room there for both the pad and the MXPE. I'll use velcro tape on the mount and the pad to keep it in place (glue gun probably won't hold up in Florida sun). It arrives tomorrow, we'll see what happens.

I was also interested in wireless charging, so I got one of these universal charging pads for a few bucks. It plugs into the micro-usb port, and can be tucked into the case since it's very thin. Similar to this one:

The good news is that it works, is very convenient, and it doesn't generate much heat. The bad news is that it's horribly slow. I tried two different charging pads to make sure it wasn't the pad, and used it on my in-car 3-coil charger base, and multiple desk 3-coil chargers (which charged other phones at a reasonable pace).
To describe what I mean by slow - Ampere reports charging rate fluctuating around 200-400mA, however, it seems to only charge 10% per hour or so. I left it to charge last night at 30%, and I woke up and it's not even full.
If anybody else is getting better results, please let me know.

Don't forget that your phone is also using the battery at night. A charging rate of 200-400mA would barely cover the consumption, and that's why your phone doesn't seem to charge. IMHO anything less than 1000mA is useless with most current phones, and the standard really is 3000mA+ with Quickcharge 2.0.

Yeah I've more or less given up on the universal wireless receiver. It just takes way too long. Maybe one day there's be fast wireless charging receivers.

how well does the universal wireless charging coil charge? 10% an hour? if that's the case then there's really no point even using tbh. I really wished the Moto X Pure had wireless charging out of the box

Yeah it's too slow to really be useful. I tried two different universal charging receivers, of different design. What's unusual is that I used to use this solution on my LG G2 (which also had a 3000mAh) battery and it was much quicker.
I suspect there must be some difference in either the USB circuitry or maybe the kernel I'm using, as some kernels support an accelerated USB charging rate. In any case, looks like no good for now. Maybe one day there'll be universal charging receivers which support fast charge (like the S6/S7 has).

I saw this thread a few days ago and ordered the Tylt from Amazon. Due to the curved back adding to the thickness of the phone, it didn't work very will with my 2015 Pure Edition. Sending it back to Amazon. FYI...

Qi Wireless Charging Kit

I was looking at this wireless charging kit for my Galaxy S4 I337 and I wanted to check here before wasting any money. Is this a legit product that works well or something I should avoid? Is there anything better if this is garbage? Thanks all!
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Qi-Wireless...S_Cell_Phone_PDA_Chargers&hash=item2ecf1d5a17
The receiver looks like it should fit. Whether or not it abides by the Qi standard I wouldn't dare guess about that. It has no company markings, just the Qi logo. But that wouldn't affect the phone itself just if the pad/receiver were compatible with other pads/receivers. Lastly I'm not going to bet it really can do 1000mha but for $19 I'd give it a shot if I hadn't already bought a set a while back.

That one is kind of old school.
Look for two things:
Chip located in the gap left where you insert the sd card...results in better back fit.
NFC included on the insert---not "works with NFC", acutally has an NFC loop and the other two connector pads for NFC
I can't find the one I bought, but the Nillkin one looks similar to mine.
Can anyone post a link to the product that they use that works really well? There are tons out there and I just want to make sure I don't pick one that is known to be junk.
Aside from the wireless receivers that fit in the existing back cover, I have thought about getting this official back cover and then just a generic charging pad. If I won't be able to use a case with either, I may prefer the extra bulk this back cover will cause instead of something that fits in the existing back cover. If what you have works with cases, let me know what type of case you use too.

This charger and receiver work well for me, I picked these based on user reviews:
I can't post links, so look on Amazon for : PowerBot® PB1020 Qi Enabled Wireless Charger , and the : Zitrades(TM) 2013 Latest Qi Standard wireless Charger receiver pad
The pad is thin and fits within the stock back cover.
Cool, thanks!
I bought these:

they work exceptionally well, charges through thick cases (I use a Trident Aegis) and though it can be a bit finicky on placement, it works really well and charges at about 675mha. Not the fastest but still good.

I have bought more then 3 qi charger for my s4 few months ago (price range from $15 to $35), and I finally gave up on these charger.
The charging speed is incredible slow and sometime makes the phone hot. If you put a QI charger in your office, in a busy day and your battery level is low, if you count on the qi charger, then it'll be defiantly a night mare. I'll prefer to wait for the next generation wireless charging technology to come available.

very interesting. I've never had an issue with heat, neither with the charging pad nor the receiver in the phone even with the thick case on. I average with mysetup between 16 to 23% charge/hr it's no 40 or 50 I get with a proper wire/adapter setup, but it's more than enough at work and totally enough while sleeping. What was your receiver rated at? the one I linked to is rated at 1000mha (whether or not it charges that fast, I can't comment, my pad is only rated at 750).
What most people don't like about these types of chargers is you can't charge while you use it, phone has to be laying on the charger and all, or they have the screen to be set constantly on or whatever which will slow down your charging. Not saying these were your issues, but I'd recommend running a few tests, it sounds like you've tried different pads, have you bought another receiver for the phone? install an app to help monitor the battery charge and usage (I find battery monitor widget fairly accurate, it'll tell you your charge your charge percentage/hr). just my thoughts for you.
I ended up purchasing the following two items. I mainly need this for my work desk as I often run out of battery well before the end of a work day. Having this on my desk will help because I can charge more frequently and keep a higher battery meter. When I'm home I don't mind using a power cable as the way I'm setup works well there. Anyway, we'll see how this all works and I appreciate all the replies.

I don't remember the rated mha, because I haven't used it for long time. Maybe they're the very first generation products with lots of problem.
But just like you said, you have to laying down the phone while it's charging, this is the biggest problem for me. In a working desk, you can still using your phone while the charging cable is connected, and the charging speed is incredibly faster then the QI charger, if you use the QI pad, you need to put it back to the pad every time, if you're busy, you don't have time to put it back and make sure they're properly aligned, that's why I eventually give up on the product.
But I just thinking, if some day in the future, the whole working desk can be a QI charger support your tablet and your phone's power, that will be a great invention for our everyday life.

The starting Gen of inductive charging had a lot of problems, mainly weak circuits in detecting the phone requiring precise lining up. Things are a bit better now especially if you run a naked or think phone case.
Sounds like a brilliant DIY to build an entire desk Qi charging pad. From what I recall the Qi is just a fancy chipset that makes it compatible so someone could theoretically make a desk laced with charging coils if someone had the time, energy and money to do so
Personally I like Qi for home evenings and work. I don't play with my phone at work or whilst I sleep. I also don't keep games on my phone, eats up too much power. During the day and general use I depend on my battery and my cable/plug while on the go. Inductive charging isn't perfect, and frankly will never be in my opinion, but great for those too lazy to plug in their phone (like my gf) or those who get up and down and don't want the hassle of constantly unplugging and plugging their phone in every time. I see them in the same boat as smart watches. They have their niches none of which a normal person really NEEDS, but are fun to haves.

Actually the first generation qi receiver and transmitter was one of the best, Im still using the first generation transmitter from yijieneng, detect all my receiver upto now, and I still have a few first gen S3 receiver, they are built using the best chipset and coil, but because the price of the actual reciever cost more that the oem one itself or 4-5 times the prices of the current receivers on ebay, I don't put them up on ebay.

Wireless Charging Car Mounts

Anyone have experience with any wireless charging car mounts? I love the convenience of my magnetic mount, but the phone is too slick for it. Considering a different brand with a larger magnet, but I'm also considering going to a wireless charging car mount. I like the idea of the iOttie, because of the one-handed operation, but I'm open to other products as well. Any advice?
I will use my existing car mount and simply add this here...

Hi
I like the look of the iOttie wireless charger. I have no experience of wireless chargers. Will it output enough power to charge the phone while running apps like Waze for navigation? All I know is that my standard car charger could not keep up the charge on my S4 while I was running Waze until I got a new 2A car charger.

i just did this with my old owl wireless car mount that didnt work with qi. It was really easy with a hot glue gun and charges as fast as the samsung qi charging pad. One thing i would suggest is to use the qi charging board with the usb charging port connected by wires so you can easily place it anywhere.

Honestly, not likely. Even with the standard desktop Samsung wireless charger, I'm charging at around 340 mA. I would think that screen on and GPS and all that would consume more power than that, but I could be wrong. I think that if you're looking for a good, steady power supply, you want a cable. If you want convenience and at least some power, then wireless would work.
My airdock 2 came yesterday. Pretty amazing. The grip is insane. Took 2.5 months to get though.

Agree on the airdock. Have had mine for a couple weeks and really like it. Battery gains charge even with BT connection and navigating with Waze and screen on.

if it can deliver around 400 mah then it is enough to charge your phone very slowly with waze running. my diy q charger will charge like 1% every 10 mins or so with waze and bluetooth on.

I read one or two reviews that the iOttie mount creaks a bit. Not sure about you but that would bug the life Out me.
Here's one that I bought that works really well with the S6 and numerous sized cases:
RAVPower Qi Wireless Car Charger Dock 3-Triple Coil Qi
I'd probably go with CHOETECH Qi Pocket Wireless Car Charger. Looks nice and have good reviews from different websites. I also think it is priced just right.

I've seen that one on Amazon. Do the immovable feet get in the way of plugging in an audio cabe to connect to my car stereo?

Well I'm using the windshield mount but as you can see the feet of the cradle (if this is what you mean) is not obstructing the audio cable port. If you're talking about the feet for the vent mount, that too is cleared because the cradle the phone sits in is a bit away from the vent mount feet. In any case if I were you or anyone considering audio playback through your phone then I'd go with a bluetooth receiver like this one. I have it connected to my cars audio port via noise isolator (some cars produce a hum when driving.. this cancels the hum). With this setup I literally just sit my phone in the cradle.. clamp.. turn on the ignition and it automatically connects my phone via bluetooth and charges. No wires to mess with.

Someone on the amazon reviews reported that one does not work with the S6. Further.. if you read the review of that person's post, Choetech followed up to apologize and offered a different (unrealistic alternative imo) solution.

Cheap solution/alternative for lack of wireless charging! Turbocharge confirmed!

If you are like me and miss the simplicity of wireless charging I have found a solution. If you have never heard of znaps it started as a kickstarter to bring magnetic charging to any Microsd, USB type C or lightning devices (similar to Mac). I preordered mine but the wait was killing me since it does not ship until January. I did a quick google search and found another company who is selling this technology on Amazon so I quickly ordered it with next day delivery and I have to say it works perfectly. It has a strong magnet and can be connected with ease either direction. It DOES support turbocharge, at first I had a bad cable but the new cable works. Installation and removal can be a little tough because you have to use force but they give you a tool to remove (trust me it will stick out and not go all the way in unless you push hard). It also supports sync as well but I really haven't put that through it's paces yet.
Now I am going to keep my znaps order going to test the two. Not sure if it supports fast charging.
Znaps has some pros:
1. You can use your existing cables. With this you have to order multiple cables for cars and so on.
2. The price is cheaper for the connectors
3. It is smaller (both insert and cable tip
So if you want something that connects quickly and without hassle and something that can go both ways give it a try.
Here's a promo video I found lol you have to laugh at how they try so hard to make it seem terrible the old way

I'm not sure but I doubt it. I think we will have better luck with znaps. I'm still waiting to hear back from their support. It charges slow so I would plan on getting this if you are like me and don't mind charging over night. For turbo charge you'll want to remove. I only charge at night so it works well

Can you transfer or sync data with the cable? If you can, you can turbo charge.
Thanks for the mini review Josh.
Thanks! Looks interesting but I can't live without quick charge. Will probably wait for znap...

znaps confirmed theirs will support quick charge 2.0
OP, have you tried using your Turbo Charger with this cable? I'm seeing a few reviews that say that it can be charged with quick charge....

I can't try the charger that came with the phone since the cable is built in however I did try a quick charge 2.0 charger I purchased off amazon (this one) and it still has a slow charge. It's perfect to hold me over until znaps is out but it does take it's time.
I haven't tried that charger with a regular cable to make sure there is nothing wrong with the new charger but I can do that this afternoon.
I tried one of these to, but I think znaps will be better. My problem with these is the size. It's not really compatible with any cases. It does work with quickcharge, the notification LED would have to be facing upward though. Otherwise normal charge. And after getting it yanked back out, the usb port is forever stretched out. cables aren't as tight anymore.
The better solution for wireless charging would be one of the wireless receivers sandwiched between the phone and a case.
30 minutes on a wireless charger would equal around 8% charge increase on an MXPE.
30 minutes on the QC2.0 charger equals around 65% charge increase.
So, you can stick your phone on a wireless charger for an hour to get 16% life added, or I can stick mine on the cord for 8 minutes to get the same.
No thanks don't want it.
Another good thing about Znaps's design is that there is an adapter on the wire side, so don't need new wires/adapters. Can't wait...

I'm wondering if the piece that goes into my phone is defective. It does not quick charge in either direction. I will try swapping it out when I get home. Did you use this with the moto x?
EDIT: @regalpimpin So after removing the insert I had I verified my quick charger 2.0 would turbocharge by using a standard cable. Then I put in the other insert and still no turbocharge. So I'm not sure how you tested but mine will not turbo charge. I didn't notice the cable being loose after this device so I'm assuming you tried with a different phone/tablet?

I got the cable Friday, and tested it on the pure. The little pamphlet it comes with explains the charging. It will charge normally either way it's plugged in. But the data/ and therefore the quick charge only works plugged in the one way. I tested with an aukey 15000 battery pack. And got the TurboCharge toast notification when plugged in. Cables aren't loose now.. But they aren't as tight as they were. It's like its had a months use, and it wasn't like that before. Not a huge deal, but i'm sticking to the wireless receivers, and possibly the znaps when they come out as they'll be more case friendly. I'll probably just use these on some other devices. It was cool in theory.

I've got the tough frame for my MXPE on my phone currently, I love how it looks and feels, don't need anything else for a case. I wonder if this piece that plugs into the usb on the phone is too wide to fit into the hold cutout on the bumper. Can anyone verify if I would have to cut up my bumper if I bought this cable??

specs:
charging speed:
cosmetic blemish:
It is a great size. It is slightly narrower and shorter than the 6P itself, so fitting it into my pocket isn't a problem. As long as your pocket is big enough for the 6P, it will be big enough for the battery. The battery is also very thin compared to the beasts coming from Anker, Talentcell, RAVpower, and Choetech.
The USB Type-C port is rated for 2.4A, not 3.0A. Ampere suggests that it really is capable of 2.4A on the Type-C port. It reports ~2600 mA on the battery vs ~2900 mA on the stock Google charger. Of course 3.0A would be nicer than 2.4A, but I'm willing to deal with a small drop in charging speed in exchange for the extremely small size and great portability of this battery. Keep in mind that the 6P really only charges at 3.0A up to ~35% charge, and from there it quickly drops to slower speeds. So the difference in charging speed from 0% to 100% is probably only about 15 minutes.
The chassis of the battery is made of aluminum and actually looks quite good. Mine did come with a slight blemish on the surface, which can be seen in the last photo, but it doesn't bother me. The chassis is also resistant to fingerprints. The aluminum is slightly textured/rough, just like the 6P's chassis. It has a "premium" look and feel.
It charged my 6P about two full charges before dying itself.
You can charge the Orico battery using the Type-C port or a micro B port. The Type-C port is capable of both charging and discharging, which is nice and convenient.
I bought this product with 0 Amazon reviews from a company I've never heard of before with low expectations, but it actually seems like a very good product. The greatest thing about it is the size and portability. The size is just perfect for me. I was originally quite disappointed when Anker cancelled their 10,050 mAh Type-C battery, but this Orico's form factor is so much better. The Anker, had it made it to maker, would have been wider than the phone and much thicker than the Orico. The Orico, by stretching out it's length and width to be just shorter than the 6P's, is able to make the device as thin as possible, making it so much more portable and less clumsy than the Anker would have been. I highly recommend this one.
Here's one last picture taken from a N5 showing the thickness of the unit.
Thank you very much for the review. Very insightful!
Thanks for the review. I'm shocked that it is this cheap. Can you charge 2 devices using the type c and the usb both at the same time?

I just tried plugging in my 6P and a coworker's e-cig at the same time. I use a portapow inline meter for the e-cig, and it pulled 0.9A. My 6P, which had 70% battery, was pulling 1.95A according to Ampere. Neither of those numbers changed when only one was plugged in at a time.
The price is pretty similar to iVoler's bulkier 10,000 mAh unit. $28.99 vs $31.99.
i picked this one up as well since the Monoprice 10,000mah one I got previously didnt seem to last as long even though they sent me a replacement. With the Monoprice one, charging the phone once would bring the battery down to 1bar. The iVolver which have been posted here as well that looks the same as the Monoprice one seems to perform better according to the reviews but I didnt want to buy another one that was similar. The reason I got this one though was the design was different and its slimmer, although slightly wider. Goes well with the phone and seems to have better build quality than the Monoprice one. Battery seems to perform better as well as I'm able to charge it multiple times before depleting. Using the stock google Type-C cable, I'm able to achieve similar speeds as above but using the Choetech Type-C to C cable, I'm maxing out at 1800mah.
The price is pretty good, the only issue I have with this is that it doesn't come with a usb c-c cable. I prefer my cables generally to have a decent length but for battery packs, I prefer a shorter cable since it's something I'm going to keep in my pocket and go I don't have like 2ft of cable poking out of my pocket when I'm charging.
If it came with a short usb c-c cable I'd easily pick this up.
I picked one up the other day for our upcoming vacation. Agree it's a good size and feel. It is a lot heavier than I would have expected. Granted, I tend to like to buy slimmer, smaller 3000-4000 mah batteries as emergency backups to get through the day. But it still feels heavy to me. I'm sure it'll be fine in my backpack, but I'm still going to look for the very small backup battery, ideally with built in type c charger.

I had the Monoprice version which I highly DO NOT recommend. It charged my N6P once and was practically dead. I'm ordering this one instead, thanks.
love the charger so far
This was the slimmest type C external battery I could find on Amazon. Love it so far. Great design, especially with the aluminum body. Charges fairly quickly (says Rapid Charging on the lockscreen at least), and is always nice for a quick top off charge while I'm in a meeting or in class.
Has anyone seen any type C chargers smaller than this? I'd love to have one that fits comfortably in a jeans pocket.
Full disclosure, I was provided with a sample in exchange for an honest and unbiased review. Type C powerbanks are still hard to come by, and most of them out there are massive. This Orico powerbank caught my eye because of the slim design that could fit in my pocket without a huge bulge. The Orico checks these off with a slim, premium build and both USB C and A outputs. The aluminum housing sets this bank apart from competitors right off the bat, and while it seems like a small detail the LED lights are soft with a great color to them. They are dim enough to not be a distraction in a dark room, but you won't be shielding the sun to see them outside. The bank itself has a good weight to it and is only slightly bigger than the Nexus 5X, so it easily fits into a pocket, bag or purse. It's not quite small enough that I wouldn't notice it, but at 10000mAh I wouldn't expect it to be. It has a microUSB input and type A output, as well as a Type C input/output. The device charged my Nexus 6P for 3 nights before running out of juice on the 4th; the phone was around 20% the first two nights and about 40% the third when going on the charger. While this may not get a power user through a weekend getaway, it is plenty to get you through even the heaviest of days. I do have two small issues, however. The first is that this device only outputs at 5V/2.4A over the USB C port, and not the full 5V/3A the Nexus devices are capable of. This is clearly stated in the product description, so while a slight disappointment it was not a surprise. The second is that once the device fully charges the powerbank shuts off. This in itself is a good thing, so it does not overcharge your phone, but the problem comes in that when the phone was plugged in and not charging it caused a USB OTG wakelock. The charger was keeping it awake all the time, draining the battery faster than it should. It only drained ~3% an hour, but on the first two mornings I woke up to my phone in the low 80s because of this. This can easily be mitigated by taking your phone off the charger when it is full, or more likely when it is close to full, but I docked it a star for this issue that I have not seen with other powerbanks. Overall though, this will likely be my go to day-to-day powerbank for the slim, sleek design.
I purchased this charger and a 1.5ft type C monoprice cable. Charges without issue. I like the form factor and size. No apparent build or quality issues. It sits in my backpack most of the time and hasn't picked up any dings yet. I think I can get two full charges from it.
No complaints here.
Well, I'm gonna post in a necro thread.... But I need an answer anyway..
I just got this little gem today, and I see that this powerbank can be charged through USB C port. Has anyone tried charging it with nexus 6P's charger? Or any other USB charger? I'm a bit skeptical, since the product listed the input max for usb C should only be 5V/2.4A....

It charges just fine with my stock 6P charger, Anker charger, and my computer on the type-C port. The Satechi Type-C meter tells me that it is charging at > 2A.

I want a QI compatible back cover. Rumours, news, releases?

I really like the back cover idea, even though I'm not sure I will be buying a battery back, at least not yet as they're waaay too expensive.
However, one enormous oversight from Lenovo/Moto is that the stock back cover doesn't have a QI receiver built in.
It's thick enough that a slim QI coil would fit comfortably, and not add any bulk from the "style mod"
It appears that the phone itself has the electronics required built in, so the thickness should not be affected.
(Based on the fact that there's a system service preinstalled about wireless charging)
I haven't been able to find anything on ebay or google, has anyone heard or seen something interesting?
Still no rumors but it's a bit early... anyway I'm pretty sure that a QI compatible cover and a slimmer battery pack (1000 mAh?) will be some of the first third parts MODs developed...
I'm assuming you are NOT looking for the Incipio battery with Qi Charger built in? I got one of those at best buy and love it, but there's no denying that it adds a bit of heft to the phone. Personally, I don't mind this at all and prefer a slightly thicker phone.
Well, for one that battery doesn't appear to get released in Sweden. The only back pack available is the non wireless at 120 something bucks. It's priced a little extreme imo..
(All things wireless charging are really hard to come by locally. Strange really since IKEA actually makes qi compatible furniture these days..)
And it really is a little on the thick side, although the fact that I can drop the backpack directly on a charger and still have my phone is genius.
A backpack with at most 1mm extra bulk from a style cover and some miniscule 1Ah battery built in would be cool though.
Should be possible, the ipad air has some really thin cells inside, I've used butchered ipad air batteries for several projects.
As a side note, the Chinese super premium brand Xiaomi is about to release a 2-way QC3.0 Type C power bank.
That could be a good middle ground for me.
How much bulk added? Like the JBL speaker bulk?
Can you post a picture what it looks like on your phone?

The Incipio battery is wireless charging ready, just check the model. I don't have any camera but you can see the three mods and compare them.

Yes, but please note that model in picture is without wireless charge option (MT-381-WHT).
Models with wireless charge are MT-382-WHT (white) and MT-382-BLK (black), even if they are identical from exterior ....
These days they are very hard to find and reserved by Motorola to few markets only...
After spending 25 minutes on the phone to Lenovo sales (rather than risk ordering the wrong one online) and having it double checked twice I'm waiting to return what they sent - just a moto mod charge pack not a wireless one as ordered.
After another three calls it turns out they are not in the UK yet.... unless you know differently??

I know this is a little off-topic but I have the Tumi wireless charging battery mod and for the life of my I can't seem to find a way to consistently charge the pack wirelessly. It would always recognize that it's on a wireless charger and start charging for a few seconds then disconnect then reconnect then disconnect...so on and so forth. Does anyone have the same issue or do I have a faulty unit?
Edit: Old Hardware: ChoeTech fast wireless charger (10w max output) + ChoeTech adaptive fast charger wall brick + Generic USB A to Micro USB (to power the wireless charger)
Originally I had my ChoeTech Fast wireless charger hooked up as shown above. The issue wasn't the Tumi, the wireless charger or the power brick. It was the generic cable I used to plug the brick into the wireless charging pad. I switched to a higher quality cable that I knew would work with the max output of the adaptive fast charging wall brick and all my issues went away! Hope that helps!
New Hardware: ChoeTech fast wireless charger (10w max output) + ChoeTech adaptive fast charger wall brick + High quality adaptive fast charging micro usb cable from Anker.

Hi, I got a question, can the battery bod be charged (on the wireless charger) if the phone is not connected to it?
That would be very handy.
Thanks! :good:
