Hi everybody
So I have this major problem with my mate 8 which is when I go into Memory and storage settings it shows that I have more than 10GB of image in my phone and to be sure I deleted every single image in my phone but the problem still persists.
I had the NXT-L29C185B103 firmware and I thought that it was a bug and with a update it will be gone but after updating to NXT-L29C185B162 it still shows that I have ridiculous amount of images in my phone.
What should I do and what is the problem ?

hm try an app like es file explorer, it allows u to analyze all contents of your storage according to file size and type. that may give you a better overview on where the culprit lies...

I used your advice and analyzed sd card with es file explorer
It seems that the total amount of used space and free is right but emui just reports my videos as images which is kind of weird
I guess I have to put it on account of some bug in android 6 and emui 4 collision
Hope this gets fixed as well as the notification issue and app crashes
Anyway
Thanx for the help
I appreciate it

Is there any app which can show the running apps and the storage taken by some apps like Program Manager on PC?

I was just over at ppckitchen, and read about mxip_notify.vol growing out of control if you get a ton of email notifications. Check to see if you have any databases that are out of whack (use total commander and view hidden files). SK Tools is also helpful for clearing storage memory.
i found it in the end... it was some opera downloads that is whacks in its own folder...
took ages to find but used something called spacefinder plus that only has a trial until november..

God, it's really a big earthquake when people like me who have a phobia on serried objects see the pic in it. But-thank you very much for help and it's a nice and interesting app.

Well I don't have experience with honor 6 but on p6 EMUI apps works perfect. Try to push apps in system/app directory but you need to root first.

Hi guys,
I have this phone from my mother and it can't update any apps anymore. If I look at the storage tab I get the image attached. Is there any way to fix this? Although it says there is still 1GB available it says there is only 200MB available for apps. Is there any way to relocate the 1GB for apps? I moved all the apps that where possible to the SD card but still can't update. Is there any way to fix this?
Kind regards,
Bart

I had same problem. Go to the menu from where you move applications to SD Card. Choose the ones you use more often. like Internet browser, Social media apps, etc. Tap "Clear data" button to clear data. This way you free up some space.
I normally disable virus programs on all my Android devices. However on the honor 8 i couldn't locate it and earlier today i got the following notification. Bearing in mind ive had the device for two months now with said app installed.

It's in the Phone manager app. Just says virus scan though, maybe there's more hidden somewhere else

This one. Not much more i can tell you though. It's stock and I think i even had it on MM.
Not sure why it doesn't show up for you.

Pretty sure the warning message is because of the performance and usage monitoring and reporting that's part of the T-Mobile app. I seem to recall that on my older branded phone when you launch the T-Mobile app the first time it comes up with a dialog asking for permission to share metrics, etc. with the carrier.
That's preinstalled and there's nothing you can do about it without rooting on carrier-branded phones, but on an unbranded phone like the Honor 8 it's hopefully not present.
I accidentally deleted the Huawei "Notepad" app.
I'm sure it was installed like any other app because I removed it with 1 touch.
The apk, however, cannot be found anywhere. I can also not locate and install it via adb. It's not "com.example.android.notepad" or any other name that can be found on the Internet.
