Is there a ROM based on LPX13D for our OPO?
As far as I know, there isn't. There is an L port but I don't think it boots.

Thx mate. I've been looking and came out empty handed.
Its a shame really lollipop looks beautiful
there is a ROM that combines Kitkat and Lollipop and it's booted (for at least one person) but thats it.
It's still being worked on but for a full on proper Lollipop we might have to wait for AOSP sources on the 3rd to hit

Thx mate. I was thinking that some came out of the preview version of lollipop. It was only for N5 and N7 I guess.
Hey guys!
Power users already have custom kernels and ROMs, and it is possible to tune some advanced settings with and without root, so what did you modified on yours?
A lot of users reported performance issues and others just want more features, more efficiency, etc. Of course, there are those who just likes the device the way it comes from Motorola or don't want to void the warranty.
With all this diversity, I created this thread for we discuss what is the best setup for our device and how can we extract the best of it.
Curently mine is with stock ROM, Xposed, GravityBox and squid's custom kernel.
This setup provides me all Moto features, plus lots of features with GravityBox. I think that the performance is better, because I changed some settings with Kernel Adiutor.

Since each person uses a phone in a way, my idea was to create a space where people could tell which ROM, kernel, apps, themes and other things they use and share the benefits they get. This would make possible to all Moto X Play owners discover new things that could improve the user experience and everybody would win.
Stock rom, greenify, amplify (xda thread for great battery), lspeed mod. Works fine for me

I find that installing xposed on my device causes choppy audio playback. Does this happen with you?
I'm using BlackPlayer and phonograph

Now I'm on Cyanogenmod with a custom kernel, both by squid.
But I remember that when I was on stock, I had no problems with audio neither before or after installing Xposed.
Ohh.. Alright, having never used an android device, how do you find the performance of the device on cyanogenmod compared to stock? Is it worth flashing?

Totally worth it! X Play doesn't have good performance with the stock ROM at this time. There are lags that we don't expect to find on a device at this price range. With Cyanogenmod the UI is very smooth. There are still some lags, but they're normal because we don't have a device with a Snapdragon 8xx. I can say you that with CM, the performance is just as good as you could expect of this hardware (and it's very good). If you are going to flash, I also recommend the squid kernel. It's great.

Thanks man, will let you know. I tried the squid kernel yesterday, phone wouldn't resume out of deep sleep
Any such problems with cyanogenmod that might have occured due to squid kernel?

The only problem I *think* some people have is that on certain wi-fi networks, the wi-fi driver prevents the phone from sleeping. I said *I think* because I don't have this issue and because of this I'm not sure whether it's already solved or if the problem persists. I suggest you to read at least the last pages from the threads of CM and the kernel for you to be sure.
What I can say is that for my usage, I have absolutely no problems. Everything works fine.
i'm using RR 5.5.8 + squid kernel latest update, greenify + amplify, working fine
Does Squid kernel (or Cyanogenmod ) solve the problem of RECENT APPS ?
I mean the impossibility for erasing them all with a single button.

Flash TWRP, root the device then check this thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x-play/help/xposed-t3191338/post63940401 to be sure which version to use.
Basically, flash the zip provided and reboot :good:
For the first time waiting a little before rooting this phone, since 6.0 is rolling out soon.
As of today mine is running quite smooth on stock 5.1.1
Just disabled all unused/useless apps,
limited the connections and data usage with Netguard and Opera max.
Will keep you posted.
How would you guys feel about a custom ROM based on a modified CyanogenMod 13, eventually with a custom UBERTC 6.0 arm64 kernel, and (almost) ANY EXISTING/BASIC features that you want in it?

P.S. How does Dominion OS sound?
I will really like that
features aren't important as of now, but need a stable MM ROM!
Just build what you already have, you can add features later
@Forever Alone That's the plan to start with, or at least beta stage

@boswelja any plans to launch its ROM can be up to a beta
So far I've got an uber 4.9 optimised rom with volume step controls and a reset battery history, nova launcher replaces trebuchet, and there's working ota!
The feature I would like in your custom kernel would be CPU/GPU OC

We now have a thread! http://forum.xda-developers.com/2015-moto-g/development/rom-dominion-os-t3295193
i am pretty much satisfied with AOSAP Marshmallow 6.0 which i recieved via OTA, its working very smooth .. its becoming smoother day by day..
if you are going to create a smoother one again ..... then i would vote for you
i like every app and support ( slowmo camera, moto display, moto actions, water ressistance sensor alarms, good camera ) which is working on stock to be worked smoothly on CustomRom then only people can get interest on the custom rom you are about to make
Shall i update my mobile to the new version MT7-TL10 Firmware(C900B324,Android 5.1.1,EMUI 3.1) or stay on the current one ... i have read a lot that it have many bugs .. what do you think guys ???
Do not go,because there is nothing which you dont have on kitket ,except smart wifi.

yes you should .. it beautiful design , it has nice animation , smart wifi , smaller dpi and more feature ..
if it not better than kitkat .. at least the same .
Rather go for B326, that one has been a winner for me so far
I'm holding off and waiting to see what happens with Marshmallow. There's not enough incentive for me to flash Lollipop. Kitkat works well.
Just update your phone. Having a bug or two on the Mate 7 LP doesn't really matter because you can always downgrade back to KK.
If you feel that LP is better, then good for you. If not, you can always downgrade.
Use the kangvip rom its awesome works perfect.

In my own experience the best Rom in terms of battery lifce would be B120 (I have a TL10) though it had notification bugs. The advantage for me with LP is more on the aesthetic side. I was able to make the Blackberry launcher and some of the other Priv apps work just fine, and also able to flash the mod to make the status bar change color to get that material design look. I was also able to flash the Google contacts and call UI files (and deleted the stock EMUI incallUI) so I get more of that stock Lollipopy feel instead of having EMUI. That said I guess for now the best would be using Kang VIP, as Xposed works on it (and once it does you can untick "Disable Resource Hooks") to make the theming modules work. Battery life with Kang VIP is much better thus far too as compared to stock Lollipop.
Which has better battery life? What do you think?
With the latest kangvip I had 6hours sot and about 18 hours phone on all up, that's using my phone constantly.

Hello everyone,
With LineageOS 14 finally going stable (or at least official) on the Shield Tablet, I decided to compile Resurrection Remix for it. It's my favorite ROM, not having it on my Tablet has been frustrating me for months now. So after compiling, why not share it?
I'll will make a normal full featured thread when I have the time, for now this is it. Might be in a DevDB form.
Download from AFH
Gapps: Opengapps.org
Root: (Since 4 februari build, disabled by default). I do recommend flashing any root solution, since some RR features require root, but the build in solution will be out of date much too fast.
Also, this new build most likely wouldn't have happen in 2017 without the help of the great @Gibbothegreat, thumbs up to him.

Hmm...
It looks like "everything works fine". Gps, cameras...
Flashed with aroma gapps(upside down - I think bug from twrp).
Colour calibration, temperature, hue, contrast are a little different than 2 hours ago.
I've been looking for a month the good custom rom.
Keep it up!
Maybe you can add colour calibration to the kernel?
?????

Thank you for starting on this build for the shield tablet. I'm super hyped, have RR on my htc m8 too.
So far, it's running perfect. Sometimes the memory management glitches are noticeable, but not breaking functionality.

RR for nvidia tab is v.good idea. I have RR on my two phones.
Unfortunatelly battery life and colour calibration aren't for me.
Battery - sot ~4h, for me at stock 5-7h.
I think you should add/change something in kernel. @nathan-96

Thanks for your input. I'm using lineageos as base, so kernel is the same as LOS. In the future distant I'm not going to add anything to the kernel.
First releases will be update-only, later I will try to fix soms bugs and after that I might try to understand the kernel a little. Maybe try the kernel by @BitOBSessiOn?
This btw also means that the RR optimisations are less battery friendly then LOS itself.
Second, a question. What do you mean by colour calibration? Is that a stock RR feature that's not supported by the kernel? Or is it done by an externel app and you just want kernel support? Anyway I will look it into it .
Stock MM/N have some colour settings in system.
Stock & BitO kernels hasn't any kcal inbuilt.
On my phones I'm using RR & other kernels with kcal added.
I can set f.e. DeepReach as here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-2/general/kernel-adiutor-kcal-color-profiles-t3382086
Thanks. @nathan-96
Totally happy with this ROM on my Shield. No problems. Just youtube is pixelated and green on occasion. A few restarts/random reboots and occasionally X has stopped Y has stopped. Great battery life!
Thanks for new build. I have to reflash stock 5.2(or blob only) and will try tomorrow.
Now I'm on 1.5 - k1. @nathan-96
