To Root the lg tribute 5. You need to use kingroot. This is the easiest way to root it
1) go to your setting.
Then scroll to about phone
click on software information.
Then you will see build number and tap on it 8 times
until you unlock developer options
Then go back to the beginning of setting, you will see Developer options
Click on it and then enable USB Debugging then hit ok
2) After that download KingRoot from the link below and install it
Link: http://www.kingroot.net/wap
3) After its installed run the application and follow what it says.
( phone might reboot so dont worry, if it does reboot just go back into the application and keep going)
4) After it finish, reboot the phone and you should be successfully rooted

Hello Developers,
I did mess with my android phone Mercury mTab MagiQ & need your kind attention and help here.
What I did first is:
1. rooted my phone with Root Genius;
2. thereafter, I copied the GApps to /system/app;
3. then I unrooted the device with root genius
4. then I did the factory setup &
5. finally, I tried rebooting my phone
huh... its not allowing me to rebooting again as all the time, few messages popping up that are not allowing me to go off the Welcome screen. Messages that are coming time & again are:
1. Unfortunately, Google Account Manager has stopped.
2. Unfortunately, the process.com.google.process.gapps has stopped.
I tried doing the factory setup by pressing Vol+ Start+ Home button & rebooted but the same problem.
Don't know what to do... kindly suggest the way out.

I have a coolpad k1 7620l and I tried to root the device with towel root.
When I run towelroot everything is successful, and root checker verifies this.
When I restart the phone there is small (root) written across the screen along with the k1 phone logo, but when the phone boots, its no longer rooted. I have to run towel root again. ( the boot logo is always there. It does not depend of if i ran towel root again)
I tried using full unroot in supersu, but it just says (uninstalling, please wait) for a very long time.
I tried to delete the su files out of xbin, and re just states that delete has failed.
I am asking for help to either fix this issue, or to remove this so I may use another rooting program.
Thank you.
Hi,
If your device is still locked and your using any root method like towelroot, I believe root changes are all undone on a reboot or if you power off then on. Your device will still have write protection enabled... So root this way does not survive reboots. The easiest solution is only ever soft reboot the device. There are apps that can do that on the play store, like "quick reboot".
If you want other opinions or alternatives, you can ask about it here...

I have a smartphone CAT B15, was very slow despite making several vecez the restore factory settings.
Use the program MTK Droid Root & Tools v2.5.3, I made a backup of the recovery, change boot and recovery for a smart phone that I found on the internet, but restart the smart phone on and off, just go to recovery and when renicio from recovery restarts and infinitely again, I have to get the battery to stop rebooting, when I try to enter download mode the computer reconose smart phone one desconcta seconds and then just goes off and is charging the battery.
remove the battery, I press the volume up key and connect the smartphone to the computer connects and disconnects a few seconds.
Replace cable with an original and neither worked.
¿I can retrieve the boot from the recovery through a package update.zip?
before this happens try to install an update from the recovery to come down from the search for updates android but I could not install.
excuse me for my english but I'm Colombian and I speak English.
Thank you for your prompt response.

ok thx
I got a huge problem. After my phone updated to Marshmallow I lost root permissions. I looked up some tutorials to root it again. But every step I took just made things worse:
1. I booted my phone to TWRP v2.8.7.0 using adb/fastboot (bootloader still unlocked after last root)
2. I installed Super-SU, which was meant to root my device according to those instructions
3. I rebooted my phone (maaany times) realizing I can't really get back to my firmware.
4. Eventually I wiped phone's memory hoping it might help, however Huawei's emergency recovery failed to reinstall system.
5. Now I'm powering a plant, which can only boot into TWRP
Guys, I've never started a thread before, but right now I got no idea what's going on or what to do. I'll apreciate any clues. Thank You in advance.
