I have a coolpad k1 7620l and I tried to root the device with towel root.
When I run towelroot everything is successful, and root checker verifies this.
When I restart the phone there is small (root) written across the screen along with the k1 phone logo, but when the phone boots, its no longer rooted. I have to run towel root again. ( the boot logo is always there. It does not depend of if i ran towel root again)
I tried using full unroot in supersu, but it just says (uninstalling, please wait) for a very long time.
I tried to delete the su files out of xbin, and re just states that delete has failed.
I am asking for help to either fix this issue, or to remove this so I may use another rooting program.
Thank you.
Hi,
If your device is still locked and your using any root method like towelroot, I believe root changes are all undone on a reboot or if you power off then on. Your device will still have write protection enabled... So root this way does not survive reboots. The easiest solution is only ever soft reboot the device. There are apps that can do that on the play store, like "quick reboot".

I'm really wanting to root my Alcatel 4015T phone, I've done many hours of searching around and have tried dozens of options.
The phone is obviously a no-name phone and a uncommon low-end model so it appears few people have heard of it meaning there practically no support for rooting it. To give more information its AT&T Prepaid Go Phone. I don't see OneTouch anywhere on the phone but the battery does have OneTouch printed on it so I don't know if they're connected just because its on the battery.
Its an adroid phone, meaning it has to be able to be rooted, even if there's no support there has to be a way to, and I'm passionately determined to find out how. I've been at this for a long time, many days, and have tried lots of options.
The closest I ever got to rooting it was telling it to reboot into recovery mode via adb which took it to a special fastboot screen, but from there the phone froze up and the battery had to be removed and re-inserted. fastboot utility acted like it was talking to it and working with it just fine, but the actual phone just sat there with FastBoot at the bottom doing nothing.
So that was the closest I could get to unlocking the bootloader and rooting it out of all the methods I tried. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Kingo Root didn't work, it said rooting failed. Are there any other ideas?
Hi there,
You can try one of the generic root methods at the top of the list here:
XDA Root Directory
If that doesn't help, you will need to ask for help here but first register an account on XDA:

Hi,
Does anyone know where I might find a stock ROM for the Vodafone Speed Tab 6 VF-1397?
Mine has a corrupted ROM after installing SuperSU with Super Sume over KingRoot. I didn't like KingRoot as it's intrusive and sends data back to some git and didn't have a fraction of the functionality of SuperSU.
Now It loads to a black screen where all I can do is reboot or shutdown. I am able to access Android Recovery but that's about it. I have already performed factory reset ect, which is what has lead to the black screen boot as previously it was stuck in a boot loop after uninstalling KingRoot.
Would really appreciate some help to stop this thing going in the bin.
Cheers.

I've been trying to get SuperSU on my new phone for hours yesterday and hours today and it seems that absolutely every method I try has some kind of error somewhere and it's getting extremely frustrating. The only actual root I've been able to accomplish is with Kingroot, but I only wanted to use that to install SuperSU and then uninstall Kingroot with it, but it refused to install so I just uninstalled Kingroot and am back at square one.
After literally hours I finally managed to get ADB to see my LG Pheonix 2 so that I could boot in to recovery mode. That is seemingly the only way to do it (besides Kingroot) because I've found absolutely nothing anywhere specifying how to do this with the buttons on the phone and no known methods for other phone models have worked on mine. Well, I'm finally into it, but to no surprise there's another problem--the dead Android icon is displayed over a black background without the recovery menu. I have some hope left that if I can access the recovery menu I'll be able to root my device with SuperSU. So, with that said, how can I make the recovery menu come up when I'm on the screen with the dead Android logo?
Also, my phone doesn't seem to have any fastboot or bootloader page either. All it does is reboot the device like normal
Any help would be extremely appreciated :crying:

I used Kingroot (desktop) to root it.
Restarted it and everything was fine, uninstalled it with file manager and it lost root (as expected), reinstalled the Kingroot apk and it got back root.
Did a factory reset and it lost root (as expected), reinstalled Kingroot and it got back root.
Then I replaced Kinguser with SuperSU (got the script from this site) restarted and it worked and everything was OK.
Then I did a backup of packageInstaller.apk and uninstalled it, then I tried installing/uninstalling other apps and it didn't go (as expected).
Then I did a full un-root with SuperSu and it didn't uninstall due to the lack of the packageInstaller - but it lost root (as expected).
Then I did a factory reset and it's stuck (it says Kyocera)!
This phone has no download mode - it just had the safe mode (power+down+menu) option but that doesn't boot either, can you please help???
