Hello guys, I'm new here and also new to rooting. I own a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 GT-N7100 and I recently rooted it (I like to believe so) with an odin program and used a file named cwm6-root-note2 in that PDA thing. All went fine according to the tutorial I was following except the last part.
After the process was completed and it said PASS on the odin program, according to the tutorial my phone should have shown the little rooting process too and get rebooted in recovery mode but that never happened. It just crashed and then restarted in stock mode. And when I tried to open SuperSU it said 'Unfortunately SuperSU has stopped'. Then I updated the SuperSU app from the playstore since I'm not being able to flash it in the cwm recovery. Every time I try to open it, it just crashes. And now when I open SuperSU it gives the message as displayed in the picture I've attched. One more thing, I also installed titanium backup to check if the rooting went fine and you can also see what did it say in the attachment.
Now I don't know if my phone got rooted the first place. I repeated the rooting process again but in vain. I'm so confused right now. Little help from you guys will be much appreciated. Thanks.
Hi there,
I'd suggest follow the steps again and having another go, if you get stuck further, ask here: Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hi guys,
I have a galaxy S4, I9505 bought from Singapore. I accidentally did a factory reset on my phone. Everything was lost. As I wanted to get back my lost contacts, I bought this data recovery software called mobisaver from easeUS.
In order for the mobisaver software to work, I had to root my phone. As I am a novice to this, I asked the customer service how to root my s4 and they asked me to download Kingo root and use it.
So I downloaded kingo root and used it to root my phone. It showed success on the Kingo root software. But my s4 is now stuck in boot loop. Damn! So i googled and tried my best how to solve it myself. I can go into recovery mode, I cleared cache, did factory reset again, but still stuck in boot loop.
I can go into download mode. I downloaded Kies, but kies gave me this error "GT-I9505 does not support initializing kies".
I read that I must use Odin but if I used the wrong firmware then my phone could get bricked. And I am a complete novice at this. Some guys from a local forum suggested asking xdadevelopers for help. So here I am. I only wanted to root my phone because it was a requirement for the data recovery software to work. And now I am stuck!
Please help me save my s4! Thank you very much!!!

Ok, so I had this problem lately, I accidentally deleted some apps including Telephony Service and Setup Manager of my rooted ASUS Zenfone 5.
I resorted to factory resetting my phone.
After a while, things are getting better BUT some minutes later Setup Manager stopped, making me unable to setup my phone, even my home screen.
My stupidity told me to restart my phone (and I did.)
But it won't start up.
I really need your help.
NOTE: My phone is rooted, I have backup-ed my data to my PC, bootloader is locked.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You need to flash the stock firmware. See if this helps, http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/help/asus-zenfone-5-zenfone-6-to-t2839984. If you have further questions you can ask in that thread.

Hello all,
This is the first time I attempt to root my andriod phone, in this case S2.
I have read through the steps and downloaded all the relevant software, rom etc but just I got stuck on the very 1st step.
I went into recovery mode and install "GT-I9100_JB_ClockworkMod-Recovery_6.0.2.9" through Odin 3.12.3. It says successful however my phone boot up with a yellow triangle and just blank off. When connected to pc, I can access the files and folder but the screen on the phone is always black. I tried flashing a few more time and it is always the same.
I can't even root my phone using "KingoRoot" let alone upgrade an custom ROM.
Please advise.
