Mine is downloading the update as I type this...more to follow.
If you'd be so kind, could you verify for all of us whether FoxFi will continue to work after the update (along with screenshot evidence)? That would be awesome of you.
Please update us on overall performance. I refuse to upgrade unless there's confirmed feedback of overall performance improvement after the fiasco I went through with my beloved note 4

Auto bright does not work well for display and cache cleaner apps not working. The stock browser with adblock fast app is cool. No more ads.
Has anyone created a list of apps they disabled with package disabler and this update by chance?

Is anyone else using Firefox on CM10? It seems it can't handle being open longer than a minute or two (on any page) before it crashes, and I'm just curious if anyone else is using CM10 and has experienced the same problem. It doesn't appear to happen on Sense or CM9-based ROMS.
Yup I was getting this as well, I just went back to stock browser.

If that is still holding true than it looks like it's a bug in FF 15 that makes it not like CM10 for some reason. Oh well, as long as it's fixed in the new version I'm happy!
Using ff beta doesn't help :-[
I tried both the current version and the latest beta as well with no success. It'll work on first launch flawlessly but every time after crashes almost immediately.

Hi,
We believe this was an issue on our side (Mozilla) and is now fixed on our developer channel. Can you try out a Nightly build now (http://nightly.mozilla.org) and report back if things are fixed for you?
Currently testing. I'll report in a while.
---------- Post added at 08:12 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:40 PM ----------
After spending some minutes browsing with multiple tabs, not a single crash has been seen, so I think you get rid of that bug in last nightly. :highfive:
I suppose this will be included in next Firefox update, isn't it?
Thank you!
Also can confirm this is working. Hope to see this in the beta soon

Not sure how many people have seen this, but they just updated it and it's working flawlessly on my GS3. I downloaded an app from the PlayStation Store and it downloaded fine, installed fine, and it plays fine. The app was a free one called Everybody's Arcade, but as a proof of concept that works for me. Now to start buying apps!!

Agreed.. lol.. I was on Sprint forever so I never really comprehended the whole Wifi not being the best, but I've been on Verizon for a few months and all I can say is wow..

what rom are you running? cause i just get an error after downloading.
nevermind. i got it working. seems rather lame though at this point. hope it gets better
Did you flash the certs? Also, the app will update itself and that new version is the one that works perfectly. The certs have to be flashed first though. The androidcenteral link should have them.
I seem to have wifi tethering issue with my nexus 5 on sprint. It's detecting LTE and 3G signal fine and I can use the phone browser, etc. But with hotspot enabled, my tablet can connect to the nexus 5 fine. Just that the tablet doesn't detect that there is internet at all. Wondering if sprint pushed something into my phone when i have it connected to sprint initially.
Anyone has this issue and on sprint?
Search the forum, there is a fix. You'll have to be rooted.

Has anyone with Project Fi tried out the gear s2?
Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk
I had a Galaxy S6 edge+ with the gear S2, and I just switched over to Project Fi on a Nexus 6P.
Changing to Project Fi from T-Mobile has had no effect on the use of my gear S2, but it does have some reduced functionality now that I'm using it with my new 6P. I use hangouts on my phone and PC for SMS via Project Fi, but incoming texts don't register with the gear in its default messaging app. So I get hangouts notifications on the gear, but I can't reply to them from the watch. This is kind of a deal breaker for me since messaging is really the only thing I used the gear for besides S-Health.
I'm really loving Project Fi and my new Nexus so far, so I'm thinking about selling the gear and getting a Moto 360 or something else now.

Thanks...that stinks about hangouts... Deal breaker for me as well.

I've been able to reply to hangouts. Have you tried downloading the Android wear app? From what I understand, is that as long as the app exists in your phone, you should be able to
---------- Post added at 12:36 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:36 PM ----------
But they still dont register in the watch messaging app, which sucks

The Android Wear app for what? The S2 watch doesn't use Android Wear.
Thanks!

It is an odd work around, but the Android Wear app actually is required for the Hangouts to function correctly on the Gear S2

I wrote an App that lets you control your phone's brightness provided it's running Android 8.0+ and has a compatible fingerprint sensor.
I wrote it because I change my phone's brightness as often as I change it's volume, if not more, and I was upset I didn't have dedicated hardware for it. When Oreo launched and it added fingerprint gesture detection, I figured I'd have a go at it.
The app has been available on Google Play for a month now to Pixel and supported Nexus devices. All things being equal, it should work on the Essential Phone with Oreo installed, but I don't have access to one.
I was wondering if anyone here could help me test it?
Here's a link to the latest APK: https://drive.google.com/file/d/11zxh3LAbBllYrHop2jsgUuhcfooPJpQX/view
Feedback and suggestions are most welcome!
More info about the App can be seen on it's Google Play Listing. It's premium IAP is also 50% off till tomorrow!

Oh the Play Store won't let you download it, use the direct link in the OP to download and side load it.

Thanks! Good to know it works on the Essential Phone, I'll add support for it in Google Play now.
