New phone, heating problem - AT&T LG G3

Hello! My lg g3 d850 it's brand new and heats a lot. I don't play games or watch videos. It heats a lot just when using Gmail, messenger and some browsing. And battery life sucks, I'm only getting 8 hours max.
It came with stock 21q. I tried CM12.1 with a full wipe but I have the same problem.
¿Can anyone help me? ¿Do you think the phone came damaged? ¿Should I throw it? [emoji29]

Android OS causing extreme battery leak in marshmallow?

Right after I installed marshmallow I wanted to test the battery leak so I left my phone away with just wifi on to see a drop from 67% to 46%!! I made this thread to ask if there's anyone with the same problem and if so guide me to some sort of fix for this

android os is always another app which keeps your phone awake, so you could try uninstalling apps until the drain stops
Yepp I have it too. Sprint Galaxy S6 6.0.1... Android OS stay awake= 1hr 15min and using 20% of my battery!
Using MM 3.0 Rc1 XtreStoLite rom. Works awesome with hacker kernel 13.2. ???
For those having battery drain while wifi on.. I suggest-
Wifi Settings>more>keep wifi on during sleep>only while charging/never...
Hope this fixes the problem..

in the past wakelock detector was pretty good for this but you need root nowadays, there is a windows version which doesn't require root but isn't as good as the android app. I don't even know if it works on MM

Yeah I don't really want to get into rooting my phone till my warranty period expires cause repairs are kind of expensive here

Surely it works, but it shouldn't be an appropiate solution for those as me have this problem. Before MM none had to change this setting to avoid this issue.
I noted after first days from MM XEF and PHE firm the battery consumption was very good, but after some days (or maybe any app setting change) this issue appeared.

I suspect this issue depends on the connected wifi net. I need some more days to check, but I can see as battery consuption graph slope is greater on the period I am on my wifi work than on the hotel wifi where I am standing these days... has anyone experimented this?

There's no such problem with SER firmware.
Greenify with the 'extreme doze' feature works great. No battery drain whatsoever on PHN, unrooted.

Battery's calibration isn't working

Hello guys,
Its been around 1 year that I have my Mi 4c and I have been very happy with it until now.
Since some weeks ago, I'm having battery issues. As I have investigated, this is happening to a lot of users too, the battery seems uncalibrated and doing the calibrate process is not solving the problem.
I'm a bit desesperated looking for a solution and I was hoping that some of you could give me one.
My MIUI version is 7.4 by xiaomi.eu 6.5.5 (Beta)
Please, can you help me??
Thank you so much,

a hardware problem can't be solved via software. your battery is nearly dead and no calibration nor changing the firmware could help.
solution: get a new battery from ali or ebay (no original ones available)

yes, YT and search for "mi4c teardown"
the most frightening part for me was the amount of screws you need to unscrew to get to the battery connector
then you have to "fight" a bit against double-sided tape that keeps the battery glued to the motherboard (and remember to tape your new battery to the motherboard again, otherwise you will feel and hear "bumps" of the batt hitting the back cover when moving the phone rapidly)
but not too difficult overall, just prepare it would take about half an hour and do everything with no hurry

Ubication problem

Good evening,
I am trying to launch a sports app to record the track of a race, a walk, etc.
I have tried 4 or 5, which work well on other smartphones, but they all have the same problem: after a few minutes the ubication is lost, of course, it is enabled.
I also have all these apps out of battery optimization, to prevent them from stopping.
I have contacted the developers of the apps, and they all tell me that they have problems fixing the location in almost all Motorola smartphones.
Is there a problem so that they don't work well for this brand?
Is there one that works well?
Which one do you recommend?
Regards

Good morning,
Updated in the second post, the applications that I have tried, and that I think are very good, and that do not work on this smartphone.
