I dropped my One on my floor in a certain way that cracked my screen. Now my screen is unresponsive. Should I try to fix the screen or is it time for a upgrade.
The OPO LCD Screen Display on eBay is about $35, replace the screen is funny but not easy. For me I'll replace the screen(as I already did), because I don't wanna see my OPO with a broken screen.
Replace the screen , as no other phone is equal to opo .

Hi,
I've broken my Nexus S. The screen is shattered and both the LCD and touch screen don't work. When I turn the phone on the bottom hardware buttons light up, there is the normal small vibration, however there is no display at all on the screen. The phone does seem to boot though.
Basically, I wanted to know whether buying and fitting a replacement screen, LCD and digitizer will fix the problem?
I have a friend who has replaced iPhone screen before and he seems to think that maybe it won't due to the screen not lighting up at all. Obviously I don't want to waste my money and buy a replacement screen for it not to actually work.
Thanks in advance!
I managed to break the screen on my Optimus 3d last night, not sure if it was dropped or ran over. I found it face down in my driveway this morning and to my horror when I flipped it over the screen was completely smashed, however the phone is still working fine, minus the never ending ghost call issue.
What make the situation worse is Rogers just sent me out a replacement phone yesterday and I have to send this one back, in the next couple days.
So I called a repair centre and they wanted $190 to repair the phone, and stated they would need to replace the LCD and the glass screen. I know there is nothing wrong with the LCD screen, phone functions and all colours are good, just has broken glass.
My question is, can I repair just the glass without replacing the LCD? I have found the screen for around $30 on ebay. Based on watching the how to on youtube it doesn't look like too difficult of a job.
me too i have broke my glass of my phone and they said like your prize to replace thre glass but in my country crunncy and the screen work perfectly I don't know why they want to change the screen too it's annoying

If your LCD is working you only need the digitizer replaced (phone front + touch screen) which costs you around 20/30$ http://www.ebay.com/itm/Replacement...080?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1c2d78e968 .
My touchscreen was broken (randomly pressing things on the screen) and I think the 2nd hand shop I got it from only replaced the digitizer I think based on the small dust I see on my screen.
This only works if your LCD doesn't show blurry or (partially) black (damaged).
I dropped my S6 the other day from my pocket and was dropped flat on screen, the glass was not cracked and it was the LCD or the Amoled Screen that was cracked and the bottom half of the screen is blacked out while the other half still works and can still recognize touches. Then I tried full charge it first and benchmark it to see if the performance was affected by the drop. The result that I got was 59k unlike from the usual score that i get is 67k. After few hours, the whole screen doesn't turn on anymore.
I just wanted to know if it still worth it to bring this to the repair center to replace the screen?
The repair center usually charge you much to replace the screen. So if you want to save money you can get s6 screen replacement from king ju and then fix it by yourself or a repair man.

Hi guys,
I'll bring this zombie topic back to life
So have any of you changed the lcd screen themselves?
How many connectors are there on the screen assembly?
I can clearly see just one in the middle of the phone next to the battery.
When I connect the new screen and turn on the phone - the vibro squeaks as in normal boot, but the screen doesn't light up.
My first guess was that I got a faulty screen so now I'm checking the second one and it does the same...
Is there anything I'm missing?
Thanks!
Hi to all. On right edge of screen I can see partially white stuff between frame and screen. I bought this phone used so don't know is this how phone came from factory or maybe screen was repaired and this is some leftover from repair shop.
