How can I install McAfee in my G3. I have Limitless rom installed. I put the apk and other file in privatesapps but When I load the app have an error message.
What kind of permission I have to put ?
Don't you ever install McAfee to your phone. It sends message in background and it costs you money. If you need Antivirus go install another one from Play Store.

ok, i have just done the v10d update and the video is much better...
Now id like to install an apk from my desktop of minidiary but it doesnt install..
Is that what rooting is for? to accept all apk's?
Sorry for the dumb question, i was a symbian s60v3 and s60v5 user..
Nope. To install apk's you just need to tell the phone to accept non-market items. Go to your phone's settings, then Applications and check the top option (should be called something like Unknown Sources, I have to translate from Dutch).
Then just copy the apk to your phome and use Polaris Office or a separate apk installer from the market to browse to the apk and install it.
Hello
I tried that and it didnt work, was not installed or something like that. I ticked it to accept non android market apps.
Its probably pirated i guess.. found it on the net. Does rooting make it accept all non-signed apps? What is root for?
Thanks
ps: does anyone know where i can download mini-diary. Great little app i saw in the galaxy s2
No, rooting gives you administrative access to some files which you normally don't have so you can customize the phone the way you like it.
The safest way to download applications is via the Market app on your phone (you can also try http://market.android.com). However if you don't want to pay for some apps then you can search google adding the ".apk" and the apk version in the search bar.
Hey guys,
I just updated my Nexus 5 to Lollipop (stock). I do run into a problem now:
I'm using Tasker with many plugins. Or at least I did use it on 4.4. Now, when I'm trying to install "Pebble TaskWatch" - which has a tasker plugin - I get the error message 505 (unable to install). The only solution to install it, is to uninstall tasker. Then the installation of "Pebble TaskWatch" works fine, but I cant install Tasker then! Same error message.
What can I do to install both apps at the same time? I allready read about some permission errors in Lollipop which only allow one app to have a certain permission or something like that.. Is there a workaround? Thanks in advance!
Dominic
Having the exact same issue.
There's no work around really. You're correct, both apps are trying to claim the same permission.
Is there a solution at the moment? I still can't install both apps.
Send a bag of flaming **** to the developer for abandoning his app and buy Android wear.
Any joy solving this? I see the app has been removed from Google play!

I have a stock Moto g kitkat. It has a locked bootloader and hence unrooted.
When I try to install an app with a different signature, it says the app doesn't have a trusted signature or over the same app installed from play store it says the app has different signature.
Please help

There's nothing you can do about that. The reason you can't do this is because is to prevent (in a way) users from installing malicious apps that may look and feel like the original but are running all kinds of stuff in the background.
What I would suggest IF you trust the source for which you got the APK is uninstall the app on your device then install the apk you got
AGAIN, be very careful with this and only do this if you trust the source that you got the apk from
Your locked bootloader has nothing to do with this btw......
Paid apps from different app stores are also "signed". An Amazon App Store app can not be installed over a Google Play Store app.

I am actually trying a fresh install and not on play store install app.
The message displayed is 'app not installed'.
Please help, I have enabled install from unknown resources
It's possible that the app is not compatible for your hardware/OS.

Hello guys.
I need help. I have bought 2 chinese android phone from china One of them i got rooted fro. My friend but as soon as it was rooted after 1 day it stopped working and cant be repaired now .
The other phone has older version of google play and i want to update it since its stopping me from making any purchases or download play service on phone. There is no option for system updates and i dont want to root this device also as it is chineses and without warranty.
I wanted to ask if any way i could update play store or install play services without Rooting my phone. Any way like sideloading or something.

Yes dude you can do sideload. Just download the apk from any third party app store, but one more thing the third party app store must be a good portal since downloading system apk from worst websites may be extremely harmful.Hit thanks if helped

You will need root to make it work. You not only need the playstore, but also the google services as system app. Can only be installed with root access.

A word of advice. Don't download apps from "stores" like Aptoide. Firstly, they're notoriously full of untrustworthy crap. Secondly, it's warez, they allow you to download paid apps for free and that isn't right.

Reset your phone.
wipe the whole thing, and never ever install something from any store or website except apk-mirror, those guys are the only honest and trustworthy ones
