Kangvip B357 - stock internet browser doesn't work, pls help - Ascend Mate 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I don't know why, but stock internet browser doesn't work on my MT7-TL10 with kangvip B357. I installed the ROM and after one day I installed UI patch. I had the same problem when I used Kangvip 2A, but disapeared when I used 3A and it is back with the newest version. Anyone knows where the problem is?
Please, do not tell me something like "use Chrome instead of stock browser". I use the Chrome .. but I found out that the phone needs stock browser sometimes. For example when I click to Google play redirection link in Chrome..
Thanks in advance!

[Q] Stock Rom English APKs

Hey,
I bought my Honor 6 plus in China and set it in English. But some apps (Stock Browser, Huawei apps) still in Chinese, and also some features (Magazine unlock, the country name displayed in dialer).
Anyone can send me the english stock apk?
About the features, is there a way to change this, WITHOUT root or a custom rom?
Tks
Hey I want this as well, about to buy an honor 6
Have you tried downloading the stock rom for L04 and extracting it, using 7zip and tutorials like this?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2294909
miui website has a link to a google apk installer where you can install all google stock apps.

Themes question

Hi,
i´m on the latest cm13 nightly build and facing the problem that no matter what theme i apply (downloaded through google play, no apk download), the dialer / contacts app, messaging, email and the keyboard don´t get themed, even when they are supported by the theme. I´ve been looking around for hours but i couldn´t find a post that helped me out. A clean reinstall didn´t do the job, also using only the pico version of gapps not. If someone knows how to fix that please help. Excuse me if this has been asked anywhere before.

[ROM] [Unofficial] [6.0] CyanogenMod 13 for X2 by gaguga

@gaguga did port the unofficial CM13 develloped for Honor 7 by @papsi. The rom is fast and stable., but please do not jump over the step of nandroid backuping your present rom, before testing this one.
Installation requirements:
1 your device must have any android 6 rom installed already
2 twrp recovery must be installed
Installation:
1 restart device into twrp recovery mode
2 make a backup of your firmware
3 wipe data/factory reset
4 Install Unofficial_CM13_Port for X2_FIXED.zip
5 if you need google apps and google services install the desired gapps pack .zip file
Download:
ROM: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=889764386195901931 (thanks to ajsmsg78 for this 26th may 2017 fixed version)
Pico gapps : https://cloud.mail.ru/public/JsQ6/gYwaQXA3b
Other gapps packs if you need more than the pico pack : http://opengapps.org/, then choose ARMV4, android 6.0, and pick up another package (piconis zlso hère recommandée anyway)
Super Su: SuperSU_v2_71.zip
About GPS:
might need a reboot, once in a while
Not Working:
- Camera's zoom
- Double tap
- no smart-cover detection
- CyanogenMod only support one 4G slot on dual-sim phones, which means only the primary slot (not the hybrid) can get 4G if double sim is used
Other possible issues:
- if you face too much battery comsuption, greenify solves this issue
- colors mismatch In camera

After Installation:
- Open Magisk Manager after first boot and go into settings and scroll down and enable Superuser Access if you want root.
- Open up Kernel Adiutor and set the cpu governors to performance if you wanna feel how fast this phone really is
- if you want another resolution than 360 , DPI can be changed in the settings or in build.prop
- if trouble to install apps through google play with "unsupported device" message, please try this with these values if direct editing, or download apk directly from google play store with evozi apk downloader, or use another market apps (apkpure, apkmiror...)
-if trouble with camera in some apps, go to settings->apps-Camera->permissons, and manually authorize each of your application that might use the camera
- if no 4G network with CMCC sim, please flash the factory rom, before flashing this CM ROM

nope, just opening the thread as @gaguga doesn't feel confortable with english, but he'll follow what will be said here, hopefully. The video come from his device, on march 9th 2017.
According to me, the bugs list has to be augmented by further tests ...

Replacing the program camera does not solve the problem.

Unfortunately I am not able to solute this Driver-Problem.
Nevertheless, there ist perhaps someone who has the knowledge for this Problem......
Greetz, Ray
What exactly isn't working? You may be able to take the camera firmware from stock B212 and replace the camera firmware in the CM rom with it. It's what we did with the Mi Max to get the camera working.
I tested this ROM in my X2 and actually the camera does not work and double tap. The resolution gets poor, very large and resembles the Motorola G3, but very, very large. The rest works everything.
Nor did replacing the camera app worked.
Update: in the settings has option to change the Dpi, and with that, it was very good ... but the camera is missing.
There's also no smart cover detection. I'm not too sure what would be done to get this working as I usually just flash things from here. Anyone have any ideas?
Wow, this is massive news! I hope this gets developed further. Although I'm already quite satisfied by the EMUI, a more "stock" Android rom should be "lighter", as my X2 is only the 16g version. Not to mention, any status or notification bar widget, and xposed modules should work as it should.
Does anyone know how to solve the camera problem that does not work on this ROM?

I guess that if you ask AJ politely, perhaps he could solve the Driver Problem.
As i see, there is no one to put the right question.
Though, ill put the questtion on it's way.
@ajsmsg78
Would you please if you can assist in solving the camera problem on CM13.
I appreciate this very much!
Thx, Ray
I will try this as soon as the camera not working is fixed!
@ajsmsg78 could you help with this camera issue, please?

Do these ROMs have the slight but constant micro-stuttering that the stock ROM has?
I guess all these ROMs are loaded with Google's stuff?
With the exception of Play Store I'd like to be free of the Google fleet of useless apps.
It's great that you've been able to port these ROMs. I hope a lot of people use them. I just have different needs! Tx.

Yes, all of them. You can "freeze" or delete unwanted Google apps. Do it manually or try to find scripts which can do this automatically.
Hi, I was thinking to buy this tablet.
Can these ROMs fix the issue of too high brightness even at the lowest level?
If not can you recommend a free application to solve the problem?
Better this or teclast m89 pro? Thanks.

To solved this brightness issue I use the sFilter app or any other blue light filter app.
But to tell the truth, I wouldn't recommend to buy any Teclast tablet. I have a problem where he doesn't accept the installation of Instagram or Facebook app. I saw that many people have the same problem.
Anyone else with this problem or know how to solve?

I added solution, check it and let me know if it works for u
It's possible to change brightness limits manually by editing firmware files, If there's a big problem for u and other users I can change its' range sometime. Just let me know what firmware u are using.
Hello dev!
Are you still working on this device firmware? I bought it this month and not even on official site could find updates for, so I don't know if there is any firmware that I should update before using these that you made...
I'm using Pixel Experience and found it great. But I had problems with the initial setup, which always had trouble trying to recover the configuration of another device. When I checked to set up as a new device it work fine.
I could not open Magisk too, but i wanted to disable it and remove, but always shows error when trying. I'll try MIUI in sequence to see if I can.
Another question: The modified Stock has gapps included? (and can I remove root?)
Thank you so much for your work, I was happy to know that have other firmware for this tablet.
PS.: sorry for the "google translator english", my english is poor. lol

I used the modified rom too and liked a lot, but I couldn't install some apps through the playstore and had problems to remove root (Magisk). So I installed ASUS ROM and it is very stable and everything is working great. I'll leave it and see what happens!
Thanks!

Hello!
1) There is no more firmwares to port for our device. Also I don't know much about modding firmwares, so Pixel was my first successful experiment.
2) Latest official firmware for our device is TOS v2.1 which can be found in appropriative thread here. Seems no more updates will be released for our device.
3) Restoring function is bad idea esp on custom ROM. You should always make clean installation.
4) Custom ROMs can only boot with root access (e.g. Magisk). You cant uninstall it. In other case your device wont boot (Android 7.0 classical issue). P.S Magisk is not like "classic" root, so you can "hide" it for apps that don't work on rooted device.
5) Of course stock ROM includes Gapps. All made changes are listed in topic. Root can'f be removed on any custom ROM (see p.4).

I gave the tablet to my son, the Stock ROM that came on it is'nt good and so I put the ASUS ZenUI ROM. (After testing all others)
I hide Magisk and the ROM is working perfectly.
Thank you so much for the great work.

I need a stock rom for honor 8

Hello everyone,
i'm here today to ask you probably the most impossible question in this world i guess... Can somebody tell me where can i get a stock rom for my honor 8 FRD-L09C432 with emui 8.0?? I think i visited like every site that could have it but it's disappeared from the whole web... Every site has a 404 or is completely down (hisuite included) and the only file that i found was the update file from emui 5.1 to 8.0...
Actually my phone has a custom rom (won't boot, it's broken) and custom recovery (twrp that luckily still works). If someone can help me in any way i would really appreciate it. The best thing would be a magic link that let me download a magic .zip file with the stock rom, but at this point i'm open to every type of solution.
Thanks everyone and have a good day
Hi, I've got the link for you, but the download speed ain't too good, I couldn't find a better free link for it.
paid links cost about 50cents though.
the version is 8.0.0.562 (C432) for L09 devices,
here's the link
hope you can use this.

The only problem was downloading the file from the host, I had to download at 150KB/s, it was slow as can be,
