Wifi killer app? - Android General

Mods, if this is not the correct forum, please accept my apologies and move to the correct forum. Thank you.
Ive been searching for an app that will kill devices that are connected to my home WiFi. Wifikill doesnt seem to be updated any longer and isnt working on LP, and I cant seem to find an app that is being actively developed. I really dont need a huge suite that redirects pictures, or finds exploits, forges packets, etc. Just a simple scan the network, and boot the device is perfect. Mostly just to kick the kids off when they arent listening. Maybe make them go outside and get some exercise instead of sitting in front of the xBox all day. I get tired of yelling and tearing the cord out of the TV or router lol.
Thank you in advance.

Thanks for the reply. zAnti didnt work so well. Csploit and Dsploit didnt either. Also, none of them seemed to see the xBox connections either.

Ohh, hmm not sure what else is there. I reverted back to KK after seeing that some apps like Wifi Kill has no support for LP.

[Q] Deployed in Afghanistan please help!

I just purchased the gtab after careful deliberation and i have just one woe.... The only way to get internet access here is to connect to the local provider through the wireless routers they have distributed throughout the installation... Thats the easy part... after that you have to connect using a PPPOE vpn.... i do this with my laptop but i want to use my gtab on the net also.. call me greedy... So my question is; is it possible in anyway to connect to their VPN? Or maybe bridge the connection between my lappy and the gtab?
It might be possible thru Bluetooth? That is if your laptop has Bluetooth. Otherwise I think you will need a small wifi router or something and setup ICS (Internet Connection Sharing).
Bluetooth won't work....
You can use VPN software on your tab but that needs specific settings [ the same from your lap top ] just need to find compatible VPN software for the tab that will work with your network.
Easiest solution is to use your laptop as a wireless router.
depending on your OS [ assuming windows ] there are many guides online on how to set it up.
May be as easy as selecting your network connection and turning on network sharing....
Goodluck homie
EDIT: i don't know what your base's restrictions are but if your "tech" team helped set up your laptop they should help on the tab too.

Make sure you restrict your hot spot on your laptop to the mac address of your tab and see if you can hide your ssid as well. The base techs lock you down to VPN access for their security so they will not like you opening up their network for everyone to access using your vpn connection.

Thats not necessary as the internet we have is not supplied by the base techs.. we get our personal internet from a local civilian contractor called IO Global.... and the thrid country nationals they have working the branch are no where near enough tech savvy to care what im doing... but thank you for your concern...
Thanks for asking this question. I am in Oki, and having a simular connection problem with my gtab, but the solution provided allowed my to correct my problem as well. Stay safe.

Firstly! Thank you to all for your service to our country!!!! As the people in Egypt are finding out FREEDOM is not FREE.
Second... I do not know which ROM you are using; however Clemsyn's KERNEL does support configuring VPN on your tablet. Please go to this thread for more information:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895825
With the above you should be able to configure your tablet and be able to roam around your area without having to go through your laptop.
This should meet the need you have
I hope the above helps and stay low !!!!

You should at least consider doing this anyway, for your own peace of mind: you don't want some random stranger abusing your network connection or potentially accessing your personal data, do you? You wouldn't take chances with your physical security I am sure. Your data security is important too.

+100!
Yes, thank you!
thanks everyone for both your support of my mission and of my gtablet... I will most definitely try out the clemsyn kernel and see what comes of it because then i could roam the entire base.. And as far as hiding the ssid, i really dont think thats warranted as the people in my unit or anyone else in the area are not the type of people that would know how to get around what simple security i have in place.... They arent the type of people that you would encounter on this forum, or any tech forum for that matter.... but thanks for your concern ill keep it monitored and if i dont have the warm and fuzzy i will put more security in place, but at this point its just an inconvenience.....

This may cause some problems. Android some some well documented issues with non-broadcast SSIDs. It may work, it may not. It may work today, but not connect again tomorrow.
You'll need to test different configurations (if you even can hide the SSID) and see what works. But you may NEED to broadcast for the Tab to connect (again).
Also, from a security stand point, hiding the SSID adds nothing, really. Restrict access to the MAC address and you'll be fine. Use WPA2 if at all possible.
And I'll add to the thanks for serving. You are a true American hero.
lol my first thanks lol you welcome man, i agree hiding your ssid does nothing as far as i know connectify does not work unless password protected and the default method is wpa2, even with the usual method of wpa hacking, macc address filtering should cover you so your good and thanks for tour service man
Jbro,
Thanx so much for starting this thread. I've been "there" and am going back to the same place and forgot that they use pppoe there! And I agree, you don't want to deal with the response from them when you tell them what you're doing.
It sucks bad enough standing in the line in the first place.
Have they improved connection speeds? It used to be steady but nothing to write home about. Also, can you a wifi signal base wide now?

WhatsApp Sniffer issue

Hi guys,
I downloaded WhatsApp Sniffer in my HTC Desire, it seems to be working but can't capture any conversation. In short, when I start the app, I can only see the following message:
"There isnn't any conversations yet, wait until one has been captured. Make sure WhatsAppSniffer is listening and if you are on a WPA/WPA2 network, check that the ARP_Spoof is activated."
I've tried the app in both WEP and WPA/WPA2 networks but no luck. My phone is rooted with:
Android version: 2.3.7
Mod Version: CyanogenMod-7-11162011-NIGHTLY-Desire
WhatsApp Messenger: 2.7.8509
Any clues what might be the reason?
Thx,
Sotiris.
I thought Whats App was now fixed so that it did not send plain text.
Hmm, I am not aware of it. But it makes sense... Thx for your reply.
if your network is secured with Wpa or wpa2
the chat will not be captured
to capture chat the network must be protected with wep
or it need to be unsecured

Hello all am new @ this site, awesome site... am using whatsapp sniffer or @ least am trying too...
my issue is that @ times it says that ( my devise seem not to be rooted ), I have rooted phone i do have the superuser icon... samsung GS3
and i restart the app, and it runs ok, but it don't capture anything... am i doing something wrong??? i do see that it will not
capture anything in wap or wap2...
any help will be appreciated
bumping because it seems that this app doesnt work (anymore)
anyone confirming?
Hi.
I'm also wondering the same thing. Just went through the fairly painful process of downgrading my HTC Desire Z Gingerbread to Froyo in order to then gain root, specifically so that I could use WhatsAppSniffer.
The app seems to have installed correctly, it's running fine, the other apps like SuperUser and BusyBox have no problems. I've run the sniffer for several hours on my shared WPA network at home, and for a couple of hours on a shared Open network last night with no results. It could very easily be the case that there were no conversations to capture, but the other possibility is that WhatsApp have fixed the vulnerability. I'm going to keep trying for a couple more days, and on one more network connection. Will confirm if whether or not I get anything here.
Just reading a couple of open-source articles it seems that WhatsApp pushed release 2.8.3 to iPhones on 27th August 2012, and a similar release to Androids around the same time. This release included (relatively poor) encryption. Anyone who has downloaded the update will now be protected from WhatsAppSniffer. Seems that sniffing is still possible if you can fathom this: ezioamodio.it/?p=29. It's beyond me though. #noob
I tried yesterday found on web the versione 1.03 donate root,
also for myself it seems doens't work,
the spoof says that if I'm scanning a WPA/WPA2 network I have to activated the ARP Spoof, otherwise for WEP it doens't need.
But I supposed it worked in one of the two cases, instead the app continue to search but see nothing.
I tried to send a whatsapp message connecting to the same network that sniffer is connecting too, and it see even not my message.
Is it an older version that doesn't work or maybe it needs a rooted phone and mine one is not?
THANKS

[Q] Help blocking YouTube app

Hi guys. I need some help blocking the YouTube app from my router (d-link). My brother is really neglecting his school work. He brings his friends over after school (while I'm at work) and sits on YouTube all day using the Ps3 because I've put a password on my main computer. At night, he's supposed to be learning for exams but he's on YouTube with his phone..
I've blocked the following addresses from the router:
youtube.com
ytimg.com
youtu.be
m.youtube.com
And this works if you visit YouTube from any Web browser but it doesn't seem to affect the YouTube app on Android. Any help? Please?
May be wifi kill can help u .....

It should be good, you can double check it is working correctly by going to Google Maps for example, Tinder sometimes has problems finding people in some places (maybe server related) or you may have changed your location too often, so give Tinder some time and it should work (if there are actually any people in that place).
Thanks!
Hi, the app looks really good but I tried it with Tinder and didn't work, even downgrading to many previous versions

Hey, really trying to reproduce this but it works fine for me on old or the newest Tinder version on Android 4.4.4
Which Android version are you using?
Maybe give Tinder some time to get your new location? If you check Google Maps and see your location has changed then the app works correctly and Tinder may just be slow sometimes.
Thanks!

Hi, so I actually gave to Tinder some time and it worked with the 4.4.4 version, update released on December 2015 (pretty old) and it worked.
You say that even more recent versions work for you? I really tried them all, sometimes they worded but too many no, till going back to this 4.4.4.

So I played around with the newest Tinder version and it did seem to be stuck on finding people and it didn't update to my new location, but then I tried to log out and log back in and it worked then. Not quite sure what happens, maybe it just needs more time, either way - logging out and logging back in seems to be the quickest way to make it update your location and show you people.

Actuallly that's the only thing I didn't try :good:
Just confused about one thing, everytime I was trying an older version, I was obviously doing an unistall and a clean install, that means a log off and log on... isn't the same?
I'll try that too anyways, if it won't be handy enough I'll keep this superold but still perfectly working version

That's right, but it seems the older versions work without the log out and log in thing right away.

Change your GPS location using this simple app. Free, no ads.
Will also keep working if you reboot your phone. To turn it off just click on the Stop button.
This tool is useful for apps like Tinder where you can change your location and explore new places.
You will need to enable mock locations on your phone from Developer options for the app to work. To enable Developer options go to Settings - About and tap Build number 7 times.
Works in Android 6 as well.

Can anyone provide a method that still works for the most recent Tinder versions? I'm using an old version with the Fake GPS app from Lexa, because the newer version somehow figure out where I actually am, desire using the same process.

Works for me. tinder 5.1.2 version , android 6 , not rooted tablet.
after enabling mock locations for location changer ,also allow location based on ALL of gps wifi and data.

Unlimited hotspot guide.

So this worked for me on metro pcs Moto e5 plus but I'm sure it will work for other carriers as well.
YOUR PHONE MUST BE ROOTED AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF GUIDES FOR THAT.
You will need two things
First a VPN (you will find many VPN for free..the one I have tried it with is Hola VPN. I haven't tried any others as that one gave me good speed and it was free.
Next is HotspotVPN. Also a free app that is available on the app store..
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.mygod.vpnhotspot
What this is doing is creating a hotspot through the VPN which it doesn't detect actual usage. To test I downloaded a 2 gb file and than of course checked and it didn't show any usage.
So step 1 is after both are installed open holavpn. When you turn on the VPN you will scroll in the app till you see the hotspot VPN app. It will ask you to open it.
2. Now that you are in the app you will turn on hotspot and than above that will show another option of wlan0. Once you turn that on it will ask for root access which of course you will grant.
Very simple setup and took me some time to research on getting a unlimited hotspot. I will say sometimes after shutting it down it will stop data on my phone. You don't have to reboot just put it in airplane mode and than take it off and it will fix that issue.
If you have any issues please post and I will try and respond asap.
Just used expressvpn and it worked also. So it should work with any VPN.
I highly doubt this works but I can't tell because there are about a MILLION apps on the Play store called "HotspotVPN"
Who made the app you're referring to? Link please..
And not calling you a liar, it just seems highly improbable that you "stumbled onto" something that no one else in the ENTIRE MetroPCS/T mobile community has yet to discover.
Has anyone else tested this?
Sorry for late response. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=be.mygod.vpnhotspot
I'm honestly telling you this does work. Maybe I got lucky in my research. Infact I'm not even sure how I found this out as I googled hardcore on this..lol

To be honest here why wouldn't I be able to find what others haven't? Though I may not be able to code a new rom doesn't mean I can't actually find a way to do something. So I when you do try it and it works I hope you can admit you were wrong. If I could post screen shots of it working I would but can't think of any screenshot that would prove it.

Those are only VPNs not the hotspot app. Please read before posting. You can choose your own VPN so no worries on that.
If you try this please post that it is working so others may see that or if you ran into any issues so that I can answer them.
