Without access to the micro sd card on android 5.02 - General Questions and Answers

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, if not a moderator please move it to the right place.
I installed GL to SD after I opened it he said I needed to change some issues / paste files and restarts.
Now I no longer have access to Ext Sd Card, I can not read or access anything. In the file manager says he has no more space available on it (before had 20GB available). I can not copy anything on it.
I pressed "restore Samsung Press" in the application, but did not solve the problem.
In my notebook I can read / write the Micro SD card removed from the cell through the adapter for the USB port.
When I put the Sd Card via USB OTG cable it can read / write the card also.
I tried with another Micro SD card and the same problem occurred. It seems that the GL To SD took my tablet's ability to access the Ext Sd Card.
Help me solve this problem.
(Tablet Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 SM-P905M)
Thanks

[Q] MicroSD shows up in Windows, but SD card does not?

I have a micro SD card and a SD card connected to my Transformer/dock. Only the micro SD card shows up in Windows, as the "MicroSD" folder, when connected to my PC despite Android seeing both cards. Other threads mention that a "SD Card" folder should show up, but I don't have any such folder. I'm able to copy files to it on the tablet itself and alotcat shows the system mounting/umounting it when I insert/eject the card. Trying the cards one at a time (SD inserted and micro SD ejected) also didn't help.
I'm running the latest FOTA, completely stock.
I've had this same problem. SD card is inserted in the dock, but when hooked up to my computer, its not accessible. MicroSD card is, but not the one in the dock. Same for External USB devices hooked up to the dock. My guess is that they aren't mounted via the mtp. I tried rebooting the tablet with the card inserted and hooked up but still no go. Running Prime 1.3 and newest firmware for the keyboard.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 2 USB and SD card Storage

Hi everyone,
I've recently bought samsung galaxy ace 2 phone. And my question is regarding the usb storage and sd card storage. I searched the forum, but couldn't find solution to my problem.
In Galaxy Ace 2, GT-I8160, there are 3 kinds of storage being shown in the phone settings.
1. SD Card (the external sd card, which I've myself inserted in the phone and it is of 8GB)
2. USB Storage which is 1.2GB (which was built in storage I guess)
3. System Storage (which is also of about 1.1GB)
We know in android there are some apps which can be moved to SD Card, not all.
In other phones like my previous phone was HTC, in that phone when I moved an app to SD Card, it was moved to external SD card properly. But in samsung galaxy ace 2, whenever I move any app to SD card, it is moved to the usb storage, and not to the external sd card. And we know the usb storage of this phone is only 1.2GB. I want my apps (which are movable) to be moved to external sd card. What I've noticed, this phone is recognizing the usb storage as sd card.
Even if you go to settings - apps - Sd card, it'll show you the USB storage of 1.2GB, not the storage of my actual external SD card (8GB)
Why is this so? Why is this phone recognizing the usb storage as sd card storage. Why this phone is not recognizing my external sd card as the sd card storage?
Your response will be highly appreciated
Regards,
Omer.
I have the same problem and I just don't know which is which so basically I can't transfer anything.
Do you have the same phone? Samsung Galaxy Ace 2?
I think this is how it works may be. It is treating the USB storage as SD Card and ignoring the external SD card.
This may only be the case with samsung phones, because in HTC, the external sd card was considered as sd card and apps were moved to it.
Anyways I've found the following link regarding this issue, I won't try the solution mentioned in this link, coz it required root and I do not want to root my phone

Try to install samsung kies then connect phone with usb debug on. Troubleshoot to reinstall your usb driver. If this dont work uninstall samsung usb driver at device manager abd connect phone and wait for the computer to make update. Restart pc after process. Ty
If you have issue with full of memory, you can swap memory, http://goo.gl/VnCnYN Just flash with cwm

[Completed] [Q] External sd card

Hi,
I just noticed this morning that my external sd card is not working anymore , at first I thought it was my Samsung galaxy tab2 10.1 that have a problem but I later put the external sd card in my LG Mobile Phone and it same thing, it is not recognised but when I insert the external sd card that I use on my LG Mobile Phone into my Samsung galaxy tab, it worked so I guess , the external sd card I use for my Samsung has gone but I have loads of things on it, PLEASE what can I do to retrieve them from the sd card that is not working.
I will be very grateful for your help.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. If the card is bad you may not be able to retrieve anything from it. But you can mount the card as a mass storage device on your PC so I'd try some data recovery tools that are available on the internet.

HTC 10's - SD Card (Sandisk 200 GB) with Adoptable Storage Corrupted - Help Need

Hi ! I am new to XDA...
My HTC 10's - SD Card (Sandisk 200 GB) with Adoptable Storage is Corrupted - Help Need...
As i was browsing my phone, one fine day, I got a prompt on HTC 10, that my SD card was unmounted, it instructed me to remove and re-insert my SD card back again...I did as per the instruction, but my HTC 10 fail to recognize my SD card...
After several attempts (removing and putting back the SD Card) the same issue persisted...
So what i did was, I removed & re-installed the SD card when i was in the Settings Menu>Storage..As i was inserting the card it Phone tries to read and it displays SD Card is Corrupted...
Since my SD card is configured as Adoptable Storage (SD Card as Internal Storage) some of my apps are missing...also my photos, video and other files are also missing...
Please help me, how to go about recovering my SD card...the right way..
I have a PC with windows Vista,so i tried to connect the SD card with an SDHC Adapter to my PC via the On Board Card Reader..It did not recognize... I went in to My Computer>Right Click> Manage> Disk Management> It shows the SD as healthy partition's as 16 MB and 183 GB...Without any drive letter...I tried to right click and assign a drive letter, I am unable to assign a drive letter in the Disk Management Console...I assume if i am able to assign a drive letter, I will be able to Run Check Disk from a Command Line to Check for and fix Disk Errors and hopefully recover my SD card data...

How do I clone an SD card formatted for "internal storage"?

I have a Moto G4+ and recently the Samsung 32gb EVO+ SD card in it is not always recognized. Rebooting always solves the problem, and reseating it is not a permanent cure.
The card is set for "internal storage" meaning it is encrypted and cannot be read in any other device including my Windows 10 PC.
I want to clone the card's contents onto a new SD card (which hopefully will always be recognized), but cannot find any way to do it. While I can copy the contents of the card to my PC via a USB cable connected to the phone (for file transfer), it cannot be copied back to fresh SD card in the phone if it is formatted for "internal storage."
No cloning software (like EaseUs, Acronis) can recognize the card if put in a card reader in a USB port on my PC, and therefore neither its image nor contents can be copied to a PC or to a fresh SD card in another USB slot on the PC in its encrypted format.
If I put the fresh SD card in the Moto and format it for internal storage use, I cannot any transfer files to it from the PC via wired connection.
So... is there any way to clone my original SD card set for "internal storage" to a new card?
Thanks,
Edgar
