[Q] APN issue

When I set my apn to ATT Phone my data connection is fine. I can surf the interwebs and send and receive emails and texts okay but I can't receive mms. I changed my apn to ATT WAP and I was able to receive mms but no interwebs or emails. I am rooted and running gtg's infused 2.1.0. Any thoughts?

Fixed
I figured it out. went to settings, wireless and network, mobile network, access point names, selected ATT WAP, scrolled down to APN type and selected Interwebs + MMS. Good to go!

[Q] not receiving picture messages on my Rogers skyrocket

I can't receive picture messages and I'm on a custom ROM. But, I can send picture messages fine as well as send/receive text messages with no issues. 4g lte works fine too.. Why is this happenimg?

make sure that you have the correct mms settings. make sure your apn is correct

Push menu then settings then wireless and networks then mobile networks then access point names

there should be 2 different APN
one for internet
and another one for MMS

Also are u using roms with nociq? There were issues of nociq roms causing mms issues....

Not getting mms text messages

I have an unlocked nexus one for t mobile and k haven't been able to get mom's messages ever since I unlocked it can anyone help me with this problem?

You have to have correct mms setting to receive and send those messages. You can get your settings from your carrier.
Settings -> wireless & networks -> mobile networks -> GSM/UMTS Options -> Access point names -> press menu -> New APN
These are the fields I had to set:
Name
APN
MMSC
MMS proxy
MCC
MNC
Authentication type
APN type
I used android 2.2 for this instruction so there may be slight differences.

Had the same problem with optus here in oz, rang them got the mms settings now alls good

Try clearing the data through settings, manage apps.

The APN settings are found under Settings-> Wireless and Networks-> Mobile Network-> Access Point Names, or the equivalent on your phone's ROM. You can edit or create the settings from there.

At&t APN to use data for MMS only?

Hey all,
Is there a way to setup my phone to use the at&t data for sending and receiving MMS only? I have a hotspot that I carry around so I don't need the data on the phone for anything else. I tried setting APN type to MMS only. But still getting hangout messages that aren't text related when WiFi off and only phone data .

Skyrocket MMS not working with AT&T GoPhone sim

I've searched the forum and googlez but each APN I've tried does not allow MMS to receive. The candy kat 4.4.2 rom has a bunch of apns already entered. Tried each one. I can send MMS but cannot receive any. Is there anyone else using Gophone sim with working MMS?? What APN do you use?

I had this same issue, usually if data works your apn is fine. Try using a different app than what comes stock. I dl'd chompsms and I could receive mms again. Gosms is a nice alternative also.
