You can't do MMS over wifi, you'll have to switch to mobile data to do MMS. It should work normally, but I've found that MIUI and MMS don't really go together when you're on wifi.

Ok I see. I turned off WiFi and of course my data doesn't work. I thought MIUI/CM7 fixed the loss of apn (data) issue ? Although I can make calls, I can not use data over the mobile network unless I remove my battery and reboot with WiFi off. This sucks.

Yup! I can successfully connect. But my apns have data and mms as different profiles. So I think its switching to mms then before it sends properly it tries switching back to data? I don't think there's a way to combine the two apns for wind mobile. But it works fine on weapon :s any more clues??
Thanks for your help so far!!

APNs are like that. One APN for data, one for mms.

Hmm I noticed in #*#*4636*#*# that my phone is constantly switching between data and mms. I've tried deleting the mms that I'm sending but the phone still constantly switches between the two. Anyone have any reasons?

I just checked and once I try and send an mms it locks the phone in this vicious cycle of switching between internet and mms apn settings. Then a reboot fixes it. Anyone else experience this? I'm not sure if or how I can give more detailed info.
i dont have any issue, but sometime when phone goes through dead spot and radio crashes.. where it stay stuck in no service, you flick on plane mode and it doesn't effect it. So you'd have to reboot in order to get your service back. Otherway around that is you go in mobile network and select your network, but apns will disappear. :d SO just reboot.

Would it be too much trouble to ask you how did you fix this? some of us are dealing with this issue and we will appreciate if you can give us the solution since there's no patch or fix out there
thanks
I looked around and found that mms doesn't work over wifi, regardless of rom or root or anything. It seems the tmo servers need to make a data connection in order to start mms send. I've never had a problem receiving mms over wifi, but sending seems not possible.
Edit: As far as receiving, I enabled "auto retrieve"and have had no problems receiving mms on wifi.

Extra quick settings ? Help me with this ?

Quick settings is an app that could possibly break mms
If your mobile Internet is working then there's a very good chance that you have made a mistake in the APN settings, first delete your apns and then press reset to default and click your APN from the list
Compare it against these http://androidforums.com/samsung-i7500/9199-apn-settings-telenor-serbia-network-serbian.html

Where to find, and where to disable quick settings ?
APN settings are in settings/wireless & networks/mobile networks/access point names.
Press menu reset to default. Then click check the box for your APN (there maybe more than one that you can test) . After that reboot. Try send mms now. If still no go back if there is any others that apply to you then test. If still no compare you apn to the link I sent, read through that forum aswell
You only need to worry about quick settings if you have installed it

Not getting mms text messages

I have an unlocked nexus one for t mobile and k haven't been able to get mom's messages ever since I unlocked it can anyone help me with this problem?
Sent from my Nexus One using XDA
You have to have correct mms setting to receive and send those messages. You can get your settings from your carrier.
Settings -> wireless & networks -> mobile networks -> GSM/UMTS Options -> Access point names -> press menu -> New APN
These are the fields I had to set:
Name
APN
MMSC
MMS proxy
MCC
MNC
Authentication type
APN type
I used android 2.2 for this instruction so there may be slight differences.
Had the same problem with optus here in oz, rang them got the mms settings now alls good

Try clearing the data through settings, manage apps.
Sent from my PG86100 using xda premium
The APN settings are found under Settings-> Wireless and Networks-> Mobile Network-> Access Point Names, or the equivalent on your phone's ROM. You can edit or create the settings from there.

Which CM10-build? An official nightly and which one, or one of the unofficial ones?
Working fine for me on cm-10-20120915-NIGHTLY-ville.zip (official) and EU radio 1.06s, I'm not on TMOUS though so cant help you with your APN settings but they're likely to blame. On 3 Sweden I have to populate the main APN "3 SE" with the MMS-related stuff from the "3 SE MMS" APN. (MMSC, MMS proxy, MMS Port).
