Hi guys , I just updated my honor 6 to android 5.1 and wanted to root it , but its very very dificult to do . I decided to downgrade to 4.4.2 and easily root by kingroot . The problem is hwauei site don't allow me to downlaod the downgrade package b500 . Anyone can upload it here ???? One more thing , after downgrading to b500 , can I downgrade to build b393?? Because I have it downloaded.
Anyone help me please!!!!!
@Soltane_Ghamha2000 is your build official? Mine IS (b510) and I cannot downgrade anymore!! Those b500 downgrade packages only work in beta builds.
This lollipop update is dud. More bloatware, heating up, lag etc.
If you know a way to get back to 4.4.2 (any build) please let me know. This emui 3.1 makes me want to go back to 2.3!
Same here. Would like to downgrade so i can use kingroot and go back to CM11.
Same here. I just installed B532 on my L02 and I have a lot of problems with this rom. I just want to return back to CM11.
Can't we simply install CM11? Will the phone brick? @codeworkx

This wont work. You will end up bricking your device. Dont do this
---------- Post added at 06:50 AM ---------- Previous post was at 06:47 AM ----------
Understand that lollipop is fundamentally different from KK. So just a fastboot will render your phone bricked. Only way to do it is to use a downgrade package (try phantomath.xyz).
You can download the downgrade package here: http://consumer.huawei.com/ru/support/products/downloads/h60-l4-ru.htm
The downgrade works with local update when i place in in dload. But after downgrading i still have 5.1.1. and EMUI 3.1

after you install 4.4.2 with local update again
Update failure.
What i did:
- Local update "H60-L04C900B521" --> Succesfull
- Local update "H60_L04V100R001C900B500_Firmware_rollback_version_(EMUI3.1 to EMUI3.0)" --> Probaly succesful but after the update i had still EMUI 3.1. B500.
- Local update "H60-L04_EMUI3.0_V100R001C00B370" --> Update failure. Still have B500 rom.
If i get 4.4.2 i can use kingroot and honorTuner to unlock my bootloader, root and flash the phone. On 5.1.1. i'm unable to do it, because my unlock bootloader code will come in 14 days according to Huawei. But even after 14 days i still get the same message by asking for a unlocking code.
This worked for me.

You shouldnt have to if you have any concerns just do it though smart switch on your pc once the program opens up click over to emergencey recovery and punch in your device name eg. SM-G92xx and your serial number make sure its all capitals it will download the correct software for your device and flash it for you. If this dosent work then you shouldn't have problems with odin as long as your not downgrading from 6.0.1 to 5.1.1
That's the wierd thing. Smart switch will not recognise my phone. Windows dose and Odin just not smart switch. Is it because I'm rooted running a custom rom.
I was on 6.0.1 but reverted back to a 5.1.1 custom rom. Dose that make a difference.
Thanks

When during the flash odin give you fail?
Try to flash THIS firmware. It won't fail;

It's interesting to me. Has anyone tried?. Thank you.
Hi
May I please ask why you want to go back to 5.1.1 ?
The reason is, i have 5.1.1 and i am thinking of upgrading ,but if the feedback is result then i'd rather stay on Lollipop.
Thanks and sorry for my bad english
Because it was better with me in LP and because MM missing dozens of settings and functions that were present before.

That pretty much depends on the version of the phone, for example Vodafone phones have a custom bootloader, so it can't be easily modified, and even if you successfully flashed another bootloader, most probably you'd trip knox, in the best case, or brick the phone... Bootloaders are always very tricky...
I'm not sure of the model number in that case, I think it's G920F/25F (S6/S6 Edge).
In my case I have a G925i, and would love to know if it can be downgraded from Android 6... I don't have the latest patch yet, I didn't want to install it because I want to eventually root this phone without tripping the blessed knox thing.... I recall that PingPongRoot can root the phone without tripping knox, but I'm not sure of the android version that it works with.

There shouldn't be, not as far as the User Data is, as long as you don't wipe the /data/media partition, which shouldn't be the case when you flash stock FW. What is lost however, is the applications, those are lost along with their internal data, like SMS, Contacts (if stored on the phone), MMS, Whatsapp chats (recent ones at least if you didn't backup the latest chats), email app (if you use the stock one), saved games (if local), etc.
so what is the solution?
Yeah man I figured it out. I'm back on 5.1.1 now when I was on my s3 flashing stock would erase the whole internal storage. And coz s6 doesn't have an SD card I thot my internal would be wiped
After taking the APH1 update on my phone, I can no longer downgrade to PG5, and I also can't flash the PG9 U firmware. I don't know what Samsung/Verizon did, but it's ridiculous.
I'm now stuck on the APH1 firmware and can't get on the U firmware at all.
I haven't tried rooting, but there is no Odin firmware for APH1 yet, so I'm not going to try until there is, so that if I mess up my phone I can fix it.
What is the full firmware version number? If they updated the bootloader that would explain why you can't downgrade.
It's bootloader v4

Well for individuals who did update here is a link to the firmware in case it is needed. https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BybvkLkW8XrDdlRSUGI5Y1VSM3c md5 43E1295CAA08F8E16E873F945728B7D5 @Misterxtc can mirror in the firmware thread if he chooses. But, DO NOT FLASH OR YOU CANNOT DOWNGRADE! The only reason I flashed it was to convert my unlocked T-Mobile Device to Verizon as it was stuck on bootloader 3.
Why would the updated bootloader stop the root? Ru sure? Tmobile had there bootloader updated after the root exploit and was still able to root. It's a developmental kernal, can't see anything on update that would affect the exploit.

If the U firmware gets a upgrade and it's a matching bootloader version as any US carriers bootloader, I would bet it would be able to flash again.

It's not the bootloader that "patches" the root method... it was the security update in PH1 that broke root. The bootloader being V4, prevents you guys from going back to rootable firmware. You now need a new root method which PROBABLY won't happen

You might be able to flash a U ROM on top of the PF1 baseband. I was running EchoeRom after updating to PH1 and it was working fine. I flashed my stock PH5 backup to see how that runs now. So far so good.

The bootloader version is the 5th number from far end of your current firmware 3 or higher cannot be rooted and the only method is partcyborg rom
there is no downgrading or nothing
if you have to have root get another device
you cannot use cf auto root or flash twrp as we have locked bootloaders
