[Completed] [GALAXY ACE STYLE (SM-G310HN)] Custom ROM development - XDA Assist

Is there a way to develop a custom ROM for Galaxy ace style by myself? because i've found some threads in forums and I didn't find anything about SM-G310HN model. Can I get some information if someone's developing it, or how can i develop ace style custom ROM? I would post my Custom ROM in XDA Forums

Hi
Thanks for using XDA Assist.
You can read through the official CM wiki that has instructions on how to build or port cyanogen to other devices. Just do a google search for Cyanogenmod development. Or you can also look at this thread for making a port http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1941239

[GUIDE] dsixda's Android Kitchen - Now supports Galaxy S3 GT-I9305 (Win/Linux/Mac)

dsixda's Android Kitchen - Now for Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I9305
Compatible with Windows (Cygwin) / Linux / Mac OS X
The following is a guide to assist you with creating your own Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I9305(T) custom ROMs with the kitchen. This is NOT a guide to help you become Cyanogen or do fancy things with AOSP, but it may be your springboard to bigger things in the future.
Some of you already know about the Android Kitchen. It is a project I started on back in February 2010 to help newbies create their own custom ROMs and learn more about Android. As of the latest versions, you can now create your own Galaxy S3 I9305 ROMs with the kitchen.
I have already posted an equivalent thread for the International Galaxy SIII GT-I9300, which has similar steps as that for the I9305, so no need for redundancy. HOWEVER, please note that you can only use I9305 custom ROMs for your device, not I9300 custom ROMs. Simply go here for the guide:
CLICK HERE FOR KITCHEN INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR GALAXY SIII.http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1939300
Since the above link is for GT-I9300 discussion only, please post all GT-I9305 talk in the thread right here. Enjoy!

So god to see that you added support for I9305 .thanks dsixda.
Looking forward to getting started

Awesome!
Great work! :good:
So glad to find that this kitchen supports I9305 model.
Yeah, thanks a lot for your hard work. It runs like a charm )) the best tool to get a flashable zip ozt of a stock-rom ....

Huh - I've already used your kitchen from the original thread to process stock ROMs for the i9305. But I guess, this has more optimizations or compatability fixes. Thanks a bunch .

It's the same kitchen, I only posted the guide here, specific for your device
Yeah I've just figured that out. Nevermind. Always good to have straight-forward tutorials for everybody .
Hey guys,
I recently bought the S4 and I am trying to do deodex the stock rom and I am coming up with errors I have never seen before. Basically its not allowing me to Deodex 3 files in the framework folders.
Core.apk
Framework.apk
I forgot the other file as I am at work but its in the same folder.... It comes up with all these ramble errors that I personally dont understand as I am at work I cannot show you them... similar kind of error that comes up when you cannot decompile or compile an apk.
Is there an updated version of the kitchen I am using the same one I used to make my I9305 S3 rom. Pandoriam.

[Q] Best Close to Stock KitKat ROM for Tab2

Hey Guys,
I'm quite a Noobie when it comes to ROMS and I haven't ventured into Custom ROMS in any way before. But, because in the infinite wisdom of Samsung (my one B!TCH) is they don't maintain support for older devices like Apple do, I need to consider updating my Tab 2 to get some decent performance.
There appears to be about 4 - 5 ROMS that are being regularly maintained and I'd like to know which one is as close to stock Samsung ROM and easy to install with no requirement to Root the device. I have installed ROMS via Odin quite a few times, so I am confident in that area.
Ones I know about:
SlimKat
CyanogenMod 11
Mokee
SOKP
Cheers and thanks
Willo
Please some help!
People aren't answering because what you're asking for isn't possible. None of them are like the Samsung ROM and they ALL require a custom recovery and root. You can't install them over Odin. If you do root then try them yourself and see which one works best for you. That's part of the fun of Android!
Not to mention you posted a question in the General forum not the Q&A forum...

[Completed] [Q] Help with finding information on lean rom building

Hello,
I'm a newbie here.
looking for information on how to build very lean ROM.
under "lean" i mean the following:
is it possible to build Android ROM which has only one app - caller ?
yes, i know it may sound strange but i'm looking into this option.
it would be also good if someone could point at some custom ROM project stripped of Dalvik completely
with some apps in native code (if such does exist...)
i have experience of building Android from source but investigating
this problem made me seeking for community help.
any help appreciated.
thanks for your time.
Hi there,
You must read some guides and tutorials for that. Starting from:
1. This guide about how to port different ROMs to your device.
2. This guide about how to port AOSP ROMs to your device.
3. This guide about how to port a ROM to your device.
4. This guide about how to create a new ROM for your device.
5. This guide for ROM development beginners.
6. This guide in xda university for building your own android rom.
7. This guide in xda university for porting an aosp rom from source.
There are also instructions on the cyanogen mod wiki site about it.
A good place to ask if you have questions about it or need help, is Chef Central - Android. Many devs are watching this forum and can help quickly.
Good luck
Thanks for your answer.

Hello and thank you for using XDA Assist.
We cannot provide technical support nor can other members reply to your posts here on XDA Assist but there are quite a few threads dealing with your Lenovo A7000 at http://forum.xda-developers.com/t/lenovo-a7000. You may also find it useful (and possibly educational) to browse our "XDA University" entries at http://xda-university.com which cover a variety of topics for both users and developers alike. Not all data there is always up-to-date but it covers a wealth of information in one convenient place.
Good luck!
Well thanks for reading my thread well I kind a new to this so I didn't know where I posted

[Completed] Search for a custom rom for sm-g3812b

As Pokemon GO is coming close to being released here in Brazil i decided to look for an update to my sm-g3812b (Galaxy win pro duos or Galaxy s3 slim), but I can not find any rom(android 4.4) that works.
I wonder if it is possible to make a rom port from these models(or from any other) to s3 slim:
pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=6019&c=samsung_sm-t231_galaxy_tab4_7.0_3g_samsung_degas
pdadb.net/index.php?m=specs&id=6020&c=samsung_sm-t230_galaxy_tab4_7.0_wifi_samsung_degas
and if possible would like to know if any developer would be willing to give that little help, I saw a lot of people looking for this rom.
Thank you for your attention and apologize for English errors.
