Battery draining very quick on 3 different ROMs. Please Help! - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay. So my battery is draining very quick and I'm just getting 4hrs SOT. I have changed 3 different ROMs, From SultanXDA's 6.0 to CM12.1 to SultanXDA's 5.1.1. This is so frustrating!! I read posts saying they are getting around 6hrs SOT on the same ROM as im on (Sultan's 5.1.1). WTF
I have WLD and Greenify. WLD shows only 6% Awake. And I have Greenified many of the applications.
I just can't seem to be able to narrow down on the drain.
Edit: I I dont do anything at all. Very minimal messaging.Reading Reddit. Browsing, Music sometimes.

Shutdown
Wait 5 sec
Boot
Wait 2 or 3 cycles of battery before gets stats

Use privacy guard. Manually go through every app and turn off (wake up, keep awake, auto start). Except for google play service turn on keep awake and turn off others two. After all this are done you will have good battery life. You lost like 1-2% overnight. Personally I use official cm12.1 snapshot and Boeffla kernel. I dont use grennify or wld, to me Its doesn't help improve anything seriously.

[Q] Battery Issues

This another battery post... I'm seriously starting to think that there is something wrong with my battery. Yesterday I got a day's use only with three hours sot. I didn't even use it heavily just browsing with chrome. Right now I'm getting 9 hours and down to 65 percent. 1 hour 50 mins of just browsing with chrome. Havent used any other apps either. I'm running mahdi ROM and before I had some battery problems with cm11s battery. I don't have anything waking up my phone so no wakelocks and I haven't been playing music either.
I don't have a lot of apps open and I do use greenify. Screen brightness is below 50% for 95% of my usage time. Reception is soso as I am on At&t and for some reason I can't get good signal on 4g so I go on 3g which is better. I also use wifi quite alot.
I have been told that my Android System usage is very high and I don't know why it is doing that. I got better battery life on cm11s but it is still low in comparison to others. Other people have not even modded their system in anyway and they are getting better SOT and total battery hours.
Pictures: imgur(.)com/a/6MUy2 (Mahdi Rom) Note: I didn't want it to drain overnight because then it would have be skewed results as I would be sleeping and not using it. Hence the screenshots at 35%

Poor battery life - Vanir Exodus

Hello everyone.
I've been using for quite some time the Vanir-Exodus ROM, I'm really satisfied, the best performance, camera quality and stability so far, but one thing that's been a weak link is the battery life.
On CM 11S, using the same apps and routines, I got around 5-6 hours of SoT, battery gets to 15% by the time I go to bed, around 11pm, lasting for about 12-14 hours. On Exodus, it's really not the same case, the best SoT is about 3 hours, screenshot attached.
Could you help me troubleshoot this? I really don't understand the mobile radio drain from the apps, it's what I suspect is chugging the life out of this poor battery.
Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk
I'm using vanir exodus too and I have really good battery life (5hours sot and 31 hours deep sleep yesterday) install wakelock detector or better battery stats to check your wakelocks and if your device is in deepsleep mode
Hm, ok, installed it, these are the statistics.
Screen:
CPU:
Wake up triggers:
So, it would seem that the next step would be denying the wake up and keep awake features of Facebook, Viber, Messenger, Google+, Google Play Music and WhatsApp. Is that how this is supposed to work?
Hm, today's statistics with heavy usage. Not really impressed at all, seems that mobile radio plays a huge part in the drain. Any suggestions?
So, to post a solution.

I've used Better Battery Stats + Wakelock Detector to discover what was causing wakelocks. The problem was AudioMix wakelock here caused by touch sounds and lock screen sounds, as well as Messenger sounds. I also disabled audioFX, just in case. Now getting 5.5 hours of SoT! [emoji2]

Battery

I could never pump out more than 5h SoT on my opo. Right now I'm getting around 3h before I need to charge it . I'm on stock Cyanogen on 12. I've tried exodus etc and it's all the same :/ My usage isn't even that heavy, I don't play any games at all so I'm sure this is either a rom issue or faulty hardware issue not sure. Is there any setting/rom you guys recommend ? I was thinking about going back to Kitkat but which version has the best battery life ? Thanks and I appreciate any help whatsoever
PS: I disabled the Google services battery drain.
Bump
hello dev
i advice you of using this rom
resurrection remix

at the moment i'm using it and it's perfect not a single problem mem leak or battery
:good:
Exodus should give you a hell of a battery life. I have heard nothing but good stuff about that ROM. I myself have not used it yet, but I'm planning to.
I get between 4,5 - 6 hours SOT with AK kernel and v1.9 of real_pac's synapse settings. I also use greenify.
Try rooting your phone and add these additional tweaks, your battery life should be much better!
I am rooted and everything. I was on exodus but it was as good as cm12 nightlies :/ Resurrection I have tried too and i only got 3h SoT I'm guessing I'm doing something wrong unfortunately . I'll try to use greenify and I'll report back
I feel you, never got more than around 3 hours of SOT. Brightness is always below 50 percent, I turn off gps when I dont use it, 3G/wifi all day long. Im running exodus as some people said it had amazing battery life, but don't really see a difference. I am rooted with he paid version of greenify + the paid version of amplify, and the power nap xposed module aswell as privacy guard on google play services. Yet I never ever even get close to the 4-9 hours SOT which some people seem to get. I really don't understand it either..
what's the awake time on your Android System or Android OS? I think I'm in the same boat, flashed BlissPop and RenderUber and left it idle with no additional settings or apps installed, then come back to it and find a good chunk of battery life gone. Both roms had Android System using 1hr of awake time.
Then I installed BBS on both roms, found nothing. Google Play Services wake up permission is disabled in Privacy Blocker, haven't installed Greenify or Servicely yet but just wondering why on stock settings there'd be such a heavy drain.
Update:
Just found something interesting. The battery drain now is just pathetic. Powered up my phone, left it idle for 30 seconds and reboot. Bam, 1% of battery life gone. Repeated this 5 times in a row, every time the phone reboots, 1% of battery will drop. It doesn't drop right after, it sometimes drop after the phone idles for about 1~2 minute but that's just insane.

This is completely normal, the boot process is very intensive and consumes more battery than if your phone was just sitting idle, or even being used normally.

For those of you desiring a phone with +6h SoT. Revert back to cm11s and be happy with your SoT. I did two days ago and I have no regrets. Running amplify with greenify simultaneously and I'm getting around 7h SoT.

Battery Drain Issue

Hi,
I am facing a lot of battery drain issue. My phone is only a month old . I have updated toemui 5 with nougat. The battery doesn't last for more than half a day. May a little more than that. I'm losing a lot of juice even when the phone is on standby.
I keep closing all apps when I get the message for power using apps. I have disabled most of the apps too from using my battery..
Someone please advice. I also feel that the charging is very slow on my device
Do you use GPS location? Data? Wifi? Do you have strange signal on your SIM?
I found these things that they consume most of the battery.
Do not close just apps but what drains the battery in standby is a lot of wifi, data and cellular..
Try to disable that settings every time you are not useing it.. evan if two sim.. disable the one not needed.. this should help..
But then again I never disable anything and still can go up to 2 days..sometimes one day and having still 40% .. are you on the latest noughat 7??

I used the firmware finder and pushed the download to the official updater to update my phone.

GPS is rarely on. WiFi is on all the time. Data is usually off..
The phone is a bit quirky when it comes to battery for me. Some days, the power drain is unreal and will lose 10% per hour during standby. Other days, it will sleep all night long and only lose 2-3%. Even stranger, the days when the drain is very high, the stock battery graph shows the phone with minimal awake time. And on the days when the battery is not draining, it will show constant system wake ups when the screen is off for hours. I've only had mine for a few weeks, so I'm hoping it's just reacting to all the apps and settings I keep adjusting and will settle down over time.
I think this issue came with Nougat update... Noone complained with A6..

Many, many users complained about the battery issue on noughat 7. So me to was thinking should I risk to update to N7 or just stay on MM
Couse many users tried it and than did the roll back to MM
So I tried it to and was not having any battery drain
And with the latest noughat version like the B381 I am having or depanding on model it is the B385 or the B387 it not just adds more features like better camera options and functions but it also gives the battery drain fix many already reported that the drain is now gone.. and for me it is evan better battery on B381 then it was on B360.. much better.. like 30% better

[OOS 5.1.8] Battery life got really bad somehow

As I've gotten my new oneplus 6, battery life was amazing. I got around 7-8 hours of sot (and average use) with one cycle.
Now I'm on 5.1.8 and with the same usage I get only around 3-4 hours sot. Only thing that I've changed over the weeks; I installed xposed. I don't know if this is the issue, cause I only ran like 3 modules with it (Greenify, Snaptools and NSFW Gboard)
Something else to say, my op6 is heating up more then it should be recently. Like I'm only using whatsapp and instagram, and suddenly it becomes uncomfortable warm.
In settings I also made all battery improvements, given in a thread here.
Can someone imagine what could be the problem? Or does someone have such an issue also? I uploaded some screens in attachments, maybe this is helpful.
Thank's!
Sometimes it can take a few days for a new update to settle down. If it keeps up, you might reflash. Also, check for rogue apps and wakelocks, which can flare back into life sometimes when you update. I have not noticed any real difference in battery life.
It hasnt made a difference imo for my device anyway. From changelog nothing should affect battery tbh. Maybe wakelocks or something plus running xposed with modules is never good from experience
Well I'm on 4G most of the day, I think this makes a difference because I only get such good results like 7 hrs sot when I'm on wifi. With Airplane Mode enabled I lose about 4% over night, I think this is normal or?
Noticed this as well with the update...
Even clean flashed

I have the same battery life as all the other part builds. Actually better since I just added ex kennel.
I stay on data, never WiFi since I'm on T-Mobile with unlimited and never get throttled. I loose about 2% overnight (about 7 hours) though I do keep my syncing under control. 1 email account is set for 3 hours, work is push, all under Google account is turned off since I only need calendar and contacts syncing when I make a new entry so I just manually turn sync on then back off. And I turn all background data off for everything other then what I need like messaging apps and email, Google app and that about it. Nothing to crazy but why let things sync constantly when there's nothing to sync?
For me, definitely thought 5.1.6 was the best for battery life.
Have you tried going into recovery and wiping cache? Worked for me.

My best experience was on 5.1.7.
6+ SOT on all 3 builds so far.
