Moto G missing 4 GB after I rooted my phone. - General Questions and Answers

I have rooted my moto g but I noticed that it's missing approx 4 GB of memory. Total space 12.92 GB but Apps 2.46 GB + Available 6.42 GB = 8.88 GB, Available should be 10 GB so it's missing approx 4 GB.
Please help. I have tried clearing cache partition and dalvik cache partition nothing worked, even I found no backup under backup n store in cwm recovery.

Custom partition sizes?

Hello guys.
Just wanting to know if it is possible to change the default partition sizes on the sensation?
I did this on my Desire.
I noticed that there is currently a lot of un-used space on the system and cache partition and it would be great to re-allocate this to the data partition to give more space.
Can this be done somehow?

The only reason there are that many custom partitions for Desire is that it is lacking app space.
With Sensation, you have no such problem, so it's kinda pointless repartitioning it.
Maybe in 2011, it is pointless.
Now in 2015 it is a must.
I give my old htc sensation to my father. In original 4.0.4 or 4.1.2 and in year 2011 1gb data is enough but in year 2015 apk files are so big now.
I install andoid 4.4.4 aosp so my system is 600mb free in 1gb now. without any program installed data is 1gb free in 1.1gb.
I repart mtk based phones as
before:
1gb system
1gb data
1.5gb storage
after
0.8gb system
2,6gb data
no storage as all storage is micro sd card installed.
1gb data is only for 20 apps installed and 1 week internet surf.
2.6gb data is for 80apk and 1 month of internet surf.
htc sensation has abour 3.2gb real nand
0.78gb system
1.1gb data
1.1gb, boot, recovery, kernel, lib, dev, cache, mnt, vendor drivers etc.
there must be a way to do it like:
0.5gb system
2gb data
0.6gb others.

There's one particular problem with that.
I was thinking the exact same thing as the O/P.
Reduce the cache partition and expand the O/S partition.

Internel storage 1gb after flashing Pound Rom

First of all, I have SHW-M250S, which is made in Korea, and I was able to install Pound Rom. (Current Version is 4.1.2)
I did everything what I had to do. Installed CWM recovery, 10.2 kernel that was mentioned in the post, downloaded Pound Rom 4.4 Cyanogenmod and installed it with the help of CWM recovery version 6.0.4.5. So, It worked well. Perfect. But I noticed that the internel storage size became 1gb total. (Normally it is 11gb total) Everything inside was wiped up, of course. Well, I was shcocked up so I restored my device to stock rom. Internel size came back to 11gb total. After that, I installed Pound Rom again, and again, my device shows that it only has 1gb of internel memory total. What should I do? I used diffrent kernels, wiped data and cache several times, but it doesn't work. Is it something wrong with the ROM? please, tell me how to solve this.

No space for stock rom

I unintentionaly wiped all data with TWRP, tried a saved backup on my computer and even downloaded a stock rom. But my phone has no space for them.
My total storage is 16Gb but only 1Gb is available even after erasing everything with advanced wipe.
Lenovo a6020l36 android 5.1.1
Thanks

Was your device released with different variants such as 16GB model, 32GB model, 64GB model, etc..?
If so, the update you installed might have been for the 16GB model.
If you are certain that you flashed the correct update for the 64GB model, one common solution is to factory reset the device.
Another possible solution involves using TWRP, does your specific model number have a version of TWRP available that can be flashed on your device?

solved
I erased all data, system, storage ETC from TWRP and then reinstall clean installation then storage restored
