Internel storage 1gb after flashing Pound Rom - General Questions and Answers

First of all, I have SHW-M250S, which is made in Korea, and I was able to install Pound Rom. (Current Version is 4.1.2)
I did everything what I had to do. Installed CWM recovery, 10.2 kernel that was mentioned in the post, downloaded Pound Rom 4.4 Cyanogenmod and installed it with the help of CWM recovery version 6.0.4.5. So, It worked well. Perfect. But I noticed that the internel storage size became 1gb total. (Normally it is 11gb total) Everything inside was wiped up, of course. Well, I was shcocked up so I restored my device to stock rom. Internel size came back to 11gb total. After that, I installed Pound Rom again, and again, my device shows that it only has 1gb of internel memory total. What should I do? I used diffrent kernels, wiped data and cache several times, but it doesn't work. Is it something wrong with the ROM? please, tell me how to solve this.

[Resolved] [Q] Problem with StarBurst Froyo HTC 2.29.405 [30 Jan]

I have bought a new 16gb Kingston SD card. I partitioned it 11GB FAT32 and the remainigng ext4.
I rooted my HTC Desire, wiped it, installed StarBurst and then installed Data2SD. So far so good. The phone booted back up and all seemed well but accessing apps was slow. I then tried downloading an application from the market and got the error "Sorry, there is not enough space to install this application".
I checked and my SD card is showing 11gb free space and my internal memory is showing 3gb.
Has anyone seen this problem?
Many Thanks
Formatted both partitions and reinstalled Staburst Lite 1.2.0 and getting same error. As the phone recognises there is space, could there be a permissions problem?
When you flash Starburst, it sets the permissions just before it finishes the install. You're ROM might be bad, you should try downloading the full one. Doing a factory reset. Flashing the ROM. Then rebooting and flashing the App2SD install and reboot again. Hopefully things work out for you. I'm having problems with Starburst too.
I completely wiped and reformatted SD partitions, downloaded the lite ROM (had tried standard) and installed that. Same problems, the phone seen the 3gb internal memory but I couldnt install apps. It did however download the update for google maps and install that automatically. Even after that if I tried getting anything from the market I got the no space error.
When I had the standard ROM installed, I evntually tried the fix permissions button in ROM manager. It did 170ish tasks but didnt fix the problem. This was my first attempt at flashing my Desire. I have learnt a fair bit already about it and done plenty of googling and reading.
I have installed Oxygen for now but would like to get starburst working to try out this performance boost it boasts.
Ok, I gave StarBurst another go, reduced my ext4 partition down to 1gb from 3.x gb and it works now. Maybe a restriction to what size it can work with.

[Q] Annoying & Impromptu Low Internal Memory Problem

I flashed the latest sense 4.0 rom by apex-predator, followed all the instructions, and it didn't boot. I changed the sd-ext to ext3 as in case of any boot up problem, but to no use. Then I decided to flash stock rom, it didn't work either but earlier everything was working fine in this case, i mean flashing roms, stock and / or custom ones.
Moving over, I installed Xenon Systems rom, it successfully booted but after initial setup it gave my an annoying low internal memory notification, whereby I just completed the initial setup and didn't install any new apps except that came with the rom. It shows about 248 KB or so left.
I am unable to open messages, make phone calls n bla bla that need some memory. FYI, the rom was not overclocked and everything was previously working fine without overclocking as some threads suggest that overclocking may fry the NAND storage.
Looking forward to a positive reply on this issue.
Regards.

here you go
but before doing process check that you have wiped phone clean via CWM or TWRP ie factory format/reset, format system, dalvik, sd-ext......install a known working rom and check internal space left, if you still have low space issue then following the proceedure in the link below.......use at your own risk

Here's the deal now. I am using TWRP and I wiped everything you said above. Stock rom is not able to boot, but Xenon System's rom made it through. It still gave low memory notification. I reverse mounted the memory and it worked for now. Showing 1.5 GB as internal memory, as I have allocated that much for sd-ext partition.
What do you suggest now, shall I try cute prince's tutorial, coz I think the above thing is temporary with this rom and low memory issue will come again if I again flash stock rom or some other custom rom.
Regards.

[Q] After rooting and installing custom firmware, hardly internal memory on P5110

Hey there,
I finally got the courage to root my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (P5110).
All went well. Put Odin3-v1.85_3 on it and shakatu_recovery-clockwork-unofficial-6.0.3.1-p5110.
After rooting i installed (as decribed on the webpage) a custom firwmare: cm-10.1-20130409-NIGHTLY-p5110
Everything works smooth and easy and fast (!), way faster than the stock firmware on it.
BUT: what happened to my internal memory? I only have a few apps installed (should be around 3 Gb), the same apps when i had stock firmware, but when i tried to install a game, it surprised my i had hardly any internal memory left!!!
When i go into settings and go to storage, the device calculates how much free space i got left. It shows me i have around 600 Mb left. Graphically it first shows it's almost full (grey bar), but later after indexing it shows the correct amount of free space. But the text underneath it remains around 600 Mb.
When i go into a file explorer and give it superuser rights, i can go to upper levels of the internal storage and there are loads of folders there. It seems it has something to do with the rooting or the stock firmware (backup or something)??
How can i clear more internal memory? Should I do some sort of wipe again in Clockwork Recovery??
Thanks for reply!
BTW: swapping internal and microsd card memory is not an option for me.
Below i wanted to put photos what my device shows, but i'm not allowed to do so since i'm a newbie....

i had the same problem!
but you will have to be on the stock rom, that is the original rom for your tab. Connect your tab on mass storage mode. Go to my computer, and format your tab from there. remember to make a backup of every thing. U will then have a full 12 gb free storage.
plz press thanks
Hi,
You probably still have a lot of the junk from the stock rom on the internal sd along with the data from your new rom. If you have the rom file you flashed on your external sd card. You can boot into recovery and format /sdcard to nuke almost everything. You'll have to stay in recovery after this is done and reflash the CM rom and install the apps you want from scratch to get the maximum amount of free space.

So, if my custom rom (install)file is on my external SD card, i can format my (internal)sd card? Afterwards install the custom rom again (from external sd card) and i'm ready to go.
Is that correct?
Thanks, i think it worked. At least i have all my internal memory back!

Problems with system partitions.

Okay so I have a galaxy s5 ktle and I flashed the RR Marshmellow rom and all went fine, after some time the phone started to get a little buggie so I diceded to wipe everything and flash a new RR Oreo rom.
BUT....
What I forget is that when I was on marshmellow I used the feature that let you make one bit parttiton of you sd card and the internal storege, and when AFTER I wiped everything and stupid me didn't back up anything... When I tried to flash the new rom TWRP said updater proccec stop with error 7, so as a smart boy myself I ask my smartest friend... Google...
Found a page somewhere that suggest that in the mount section in TWRP the "system" check box isnt checked so I checked it and it worked! I flashed the rom and everything was fine.
the phone booted up and I saw some wierd things.
First in the storege section in the settings app my 64 gig sd card have 124 gigs lol... and inside it (still in my settings up) theres a "system" section, and when I tap it, it say that Android OREO store system staff there.
Second, when I plug the phone to my PC I can see that the "Internal Storege" is almost empty, 10.3 out of 11.4 gig are free.
All I want is eventually my phone will have the system and all the rom things on the internal storege and the extra sd card for you now... store staff....
I don't care about all the data on my phone, everything is backed up on my computer or on the cloud, so formating and things like this is fine by me.
Thanks!
