CM 13 to Stock - Sprint Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I flashed CM 13 on my phone and everything went well. I tested everything and it worked fine. However, a day later, my LTE/3G is acting up. At first I could not send messages, and now it says my SIM card is not showing up. I want to flash back to stock, however CM 13,being marshmallow based, merged my internal SD card with my external SD card and now I do not have access to it via recovery mode (I'm using the CM recovery -- it changed from TWRP to CM during flash). So the zip files of the ROMs I had on my external SD are not visible under recovery.
Does anyone have any idea on what I could do? I hear you can flash a rom through ODIN but I do not know if my merged SD cards will screw up anything. I am stuck and don't know how to proceed. Any help would be appreciated.
Here is some info:

This should work, sadly I'm trying to do the same but running in to some issues... Best of luck this is the best place to find the software that I've found. You may need to rename the .tar.md5 file that is the firmware to .tar before you open that file with Odin to load to the phone.
Links to Odin and stock Firmware are there in the page and all links work.
(I'm not allowed to post links to urls yet )
look up sm-g900p unroot and goto the androidrootz page called "How to Unroot Galaxy s5 complete stock"

Did you try *#*#4636#*#* in the dial pad and editing the network settings

[Q] [Generic Device] Howto upgrade OS inside the img file

Recently i was given an android device by a friend.. once i got to looking around at it, it appears to be some generic device from china.
After searching for days, i found the maker as fugetek. I emailed them asking for a release date on OS upgrade (from 4.1.1 -> kitkat) and was informed that " Updates are needed, and won't be made. "
Emailed them again asking for the source / project files they used to build the android OS for this device so i could update it myself...
Here is what they sent me:
(image attached)
As you can see.. these are hardly project files / source files, but rather a flashing tool, a set of " how to " doc's for flashing the device, and a compiled *.img
My Question:
1) Is it possible to extract / mount the img file, and manually upgrade the OS to kitkat witout losing any hardware functionality
2) If it is indeed possible to upgrade the android OS version using the img file as src, does anyone know of a step-by-step guide / tutorial on how this is done.
[EDIT] UPDATE: Seems the PheonixUSBPro flashing utility links to an " Alwinner " PDF when you click help..
I am assuming this is pretty much the same image being passed around by the chinese for their generic 7" Android Devices
From what i'm reading.. this is going to a fun, and somewhat convoluted project

Tab 7.7 Restars every 5 minutes. Deleted data reappears after restart.

Dear All,
I am using Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (GT-P6800) with the below Items :
Android Version : 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean)
Baseband Version : P6800DXMD3
Kerner Version : 3.0.31 - 1157844
[email protected] - 133 #3
SMP PREEMPT MON APR 22 22:19:00 KST 2013
Build Number : JZO54K.P6800DXMD3
EMMC Type : MAG2GA
CID : 1501004d4147324741076f07993b5f91
Revision : 0X7
The EMMC data has been extracted from gotbrickbug app.
Also I was using Framaroot 1.5.3 with the Aragorn exploit and was using gamehacker application and lucky patcher. Some days before I did framaroot exploit and forgot to unroot the device and kept the device idle for some time. After a while, my device got restarted automatically and after that it is working in weird fashion. Whatever I delete reappears and what ever i add is getting deleted once i restart my device. Also the device is restarting every 5 minutes once. I installed various applications to find whether my device got the EMMC Bug but most of the applications didn't gave any error. Then I looked into the MAG2GA Trim bug and it looks like I had got one as some of the mp3 files gets corrupted now and then for a while. So it looks like memory is getting corrupted for some or the other reason. I tried to flash Samsung Stock version of Jelly Bean and Honey Comb. Odin gave success message but no change happened. Looks like the EMMC is in read only mode. I tried SU and mounted my /system with read write mode and restarted the device. But nothing happened after that also. I tried factory reset / wipe data / wipe cache partition but nothing is working. Also in recovery mode I am getting a line in Red color : "did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/cc/others.xml'(No data available)". I went to this path via su and found the file was present. I tried to install TWRP, CWM etc., but everything got erased once i restarted my device. Is there any way where I can get my tablet in working condition other than hardware change.
I tried installing cyanogenmod through sdcard from recovery mode but I am getting difference in signature as I am not able to install CWM / TWRP to change that.
Hoping for a valuable feedback.
Regards,
bhaarn.

SIM Card Problem

Hi!
I'm running a custom rom (CM 12.1), but my Xperia L doesnt detect any sim card more - even when I do a factory reset - "Emergency Calls Only"/sim card not detected. I tested and the sim card works on another cellphone. The Mobile Network option is greyed out, I can't turn on/off and the APN settings are not available for me - i can add manually an APN, but it disappear after "save". The Wifi is working normally - the problem it's just the sim card - no signal detected. The system says that phone number is unknow.
I tried some solutions (forum and googling it), but nothing works. This can be a hardware problem? I'm a bit confused.

Yes it could be a hardware problem since you did a reset, try blowing some air to the port with a hair dryer set to cold :good:

Problem with installing Plasma Mobile on Nexus 5 with MultiROM.

Hey, I created a question at Android Enthusiasts: "https://android.stackexchange.com/questions/157664/plasma-mobile-in-multirom-manager-on-nexus-5".
I tried to install Plasma Mobile on Nexus 5. It is very important to me to start testing it in MultiROM Manager first (with some other mobile operating systems).
I followed this tutorial.
In section:
Finally install the Plasma Phone
on:
It will take while to download. After download is over, it will reboot to recovery, in recovery it will make real installation process, so drink a coffee meanwhile.. ; )
I got error:
cheching file device-687a931c47e1...d6b63d42054.tar.xz..FAILED
I checked "dev" (version 8), but I got same error on: "dev-proposed" (version 1).
I have:
OS version (official Nexus 5 latest update - 6 IX 2016):
Andorid 6.01
Kernel:
3.4.0-g4ad03fa-dirty
[email protected] #1
Tue Feb 9 21:30:30 CET 2016
Compilation number:
M0B31E
In MultiROM (patched - like in tutorial) I have installed: Can you help me with it?
MultiROM v33
Recovery 2016-02-10 (0)"
Kernel: Stock 6.0 and 6.1
How can I solve this error message?

Can you help me with it?

ZONMAI XS9 128 GB Tablet - Storage & Boot Problems

Good day mates
I've bought a used ZONMAI XS9 knowing it's wired behavior "restoring after boot" , and today I have received the tablet.
I thought I could fix the problem rebooting in recovery mode and "flash heal" the device, but I've failed to do so.
Neither the button press method (select recovery mode from boot menu) nor using adb reboot recovery via USB connection succeeded. It seems the tablet tries to go into recovery mode, but can't boot it for unknown reason and falls back to main boot loading.
I can access the device and install applications setup WLAN do all kind of things, but after a normal reboot (or factory reset) ALL changes are lost, and last used state of the previous owner around 12.2021 is restored.
I've noticed a security patch discrepancy. In the "About tablet" tab the system claims security patch level April 2021 as latest patch -but- under System Update tab the last Android security update is registered October 5, 2019 that makes the 2 year difference between the update and patch, kind-a-weird I think.
I've tried an external SD-Card used in internal storage mode too, but after reboot the tablet forgot about the SD card and wants it to format again.
I've searched the internet for a stock ROM to flash but the ZONMAI seems to be Chinese mass market no-name brand, so I could not find one.
I think the eMMC might be the issue here may be damaged or some firmware issues?
Any ideas or clues ?
Greetings from PitcherGood
PS: Sorry if this is the wrong forum, i could not find a ZONMAI forum.
