Hello guys, I've a S6 Edge 32GB and I think I bricked it. I was just finished rooting, starting to mess with a camera mod and changed etc folder permission to rw- r-- r--. Since then my phone wouldn't boot. I have the TWRP and did a factory reset. It didn't help, as now it's saying I have no OS. I tried with Odin 3.10.6 to put the stock rom to no avail, since it gives me the following error -

On the phone screen after it fails, a line appears with the following details:

I also tried to install the md5 inside the zip file with the TWRP without success.
Thanks for the help in advance.

It fails at Sboot, so you are flashing an old firmware and the phone wont accept it. Flash the latest BTU firmware.
Did u factory reset before flashing? Also it looks like your having the nand write start error there's a fix for it
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&sou...LzW2Axxf0gwXh4lBA&sig2=HqewJZ5ldtkXUio9dAsQuQ
Also if u didn't reset here's what u do... Flash twrp recovery (not 3.0.0 I've heard it got some s6 bricked) then go to wipe, format data and format everything (will loose all data) then boot back into download mode and flash stock firmware
install Smart Switch
open smart switch > more > Emergency Software Recovery and initialization > device initialization
put your model name like below (example) put your model name
Model name : SM-G920F
click search
then put your S/N number (look the back of your phone) click ok and follow Smart Switch Instruction

I tried putting on the jellyblast rom for the GT-5830i onto this phone (I heard they have the same hardware) but unfortunately it did not go so well and now the phone hangs at the Galaxy Ace logo screen. So now the problem is getting the stock firmware back onto the phone - I have downloaded the Vodafone stock firmware for the phone (UK) from sammobile.com and tried to flash it with Odin.
I have tried with Odin v1.85 and v1.87 although they both fail:

I am using the totoro_0623 pit file as per this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1811196 and then just using the PDA file. I check the Re-Partition, Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time boxes when I attempt this.
I found another method also using Kies through "Firmware upgrade and initialization" - I add "GT-S5839i" as the model name (which it accepts) and my S/N but then it complains that "the model information that you have entered cannot be verified; the device initialization cannot proceed".
I am at a loss as to what to do now, tried using the back ports on my desktop and the supplied USB cable to no avail. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Additionally, in recovery it mentions that it fails to mount /system, and rfs format fails when wiping data and cache whilst in recovery.

With a different cable it gets to the modem part of the flashing then bsod's my computer with pfn_list_corrupt (happened twice in a row at the same point). What is going on here?
Problem solved, google "Galaxy Ace S5830i Flasher& PIT file 100%work" if you have the same issues as me.
I tried to root my sm-n900 note 3 and followed all the instructions to the letter on the forum and when I tried to root through odin, it says writing cache.img and I wait for a few minutes then it says FAIL, I unplugged then restarted my phone and it says "FIRMWARE UPGRADE ENCOUNTERED AN ISSUE, PLEASE SELECT RECOVERY MODE IN KIES AND TRY AGAIN" and now kies doesnt recognize my device anymore, So what can I do now? I really want to root but damn samsung wont let me!
I see this in odin btw

Sorry I could not tag your question due to failure with the mobile app. For starters I did not worry about using the auto-root option since I am not worried about tripping Knox counter. I prefer to flash twrp or cwm via Odin and then flash the current version of supersu from the recovery or if you are looking to install a custom Rom you can just flash it instead. Nothing against CF auto-root but this has always worked for me.

For using ota update u need to flash stock firmware from sammobile or Samsung-update ok & about u install root u should seen app called supersu or try to re flash it supersu zip ok
I dont have supersu app on my phone (SM G9250) also Root checker says Ur Device is not properly rooted while Device status is CUSTOM instead of Samsung Official.
I cant flash stock firmware thru odin as it is repeatedly getting failed even when i tried it on 2 computers and 2 USB cables.

Hello,
I recently tried to install a ROM on a Samsung galaxy s6 (SM-G920F) while following a guide. The guide said to reset to factory settings and to wipe the cache, which i did.
The custom ROM i tried to install didn't work, and now i have an error message when trying to turn the phone on. It says "An error has occured while updating the device software. Use the Emergency recovery function in the Smart Switch PC software"
I tried to flash stock firmware onto the phone that i downloaded from sammobile.com, but this doesn't seem to work.
I select the .tar.md5 file with the AP button in Odin3 v3.13 and hit Start once it allows me. It fails near the end, this is in the log:

I also tried to install this Smart Switch PC software, but cannot find it anywhere. EDIT: Found it now, but couldn't install it. Translated the message says: Application cannot be started because the configuration next to each other is wrong.
Can anyone please tell me what i'm doing wrong? I really need to get the phone back in working order.
EDIT: It was getting much further through the flash when i tried it yesterday, looked like it was about 90% done before it failed. Now it doesn't even properly start. The Odin log i posted is one from today.
EDIT2: The information at the top of the download screen is as follows:

product name: sm-g920f

Hi, so I've nearly given up on doing this, but I've done it before, so I should be able to do it again.
I accidentally upgraded to android 8.0 on my Samsung J5-G570M (J5 Prime - Oi - Brazil) phone, so I would like to go back to 7.0/7.1 or even 6.0. I used Odin last time, and it worked after a few tries, but this time it won't go through. I keep getting the FAIL message on my screen.
This is what I get:

Right now, I just reset the device so I got OEM locked , but the message that I've been getting is still the same. I've downloaded all the correct firmware versions for 7.0 and 6.0 for my device, but none of them seem to work!
Could someone point me towards the right direction?
What I do know is wrong is that this shows up on my phone when I try to flash the old FW:
Kernel Rev. Check FAIL Device:4 Binary:1
So I'm assuming I need to find a FW with another Binary? The Binary changes to 0 sometimes, and if I try to flash AP/BL/CP/CSC as well, it shows "device: 6 Binary: 3" It took me about 4 hours to download each firmware, but I downloaded 4 of them from Sammobile and 2 from updato.
I'm not sure if this is the correct place to ask this question, but please help me. I really want to go back to the previous version!
Also, USB debugging was also on.
I've already reset the device, so I have no issues losing my data. I just want to go back to the previous version of android!
Thank you,
Leo
