gap between frame and body of my galaxy s6 at the lower right corner - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I noticed that there's a gap between frame and body of my galaxy s6 at the lower right corner, it's about one millimeter or maybe less, is it normal or not ?

Hmm.. maybe it's just effect from the glass. When i look at mine on an angle looks like there is small gap, fut from another angle looks just perfectly fine.

Yeah, it's not like that on mine. But mine is brand new so they probably fixed the issue.

Then go ask for refund or new device. It's not normal to have gap.

There should be no gaps between the frame and screen.. You should return it to place of purchase or warranty claim it they Samsung.

The gap is subtle, It's only visible under light ... I took it to warranty and they didn't accept to swap it, I still think that it's normal ...

Maybe you should remove your phone case and look again?
Seems to me the gap you speak of is between the phone case and the screen, not between the frame and the screen...

Looks nice, but why did they leave a corner and the bottom exposed?
It's my understanding that the corner that is unprotected is that way because that is where the location of the phones antenna is. It's cutout to reduce/eliminate interference.

ooh..... wish it was cheaper but that looks like the best s view case yet!

I have been thinking about that exposed corner some more and I have come to the realization that that is most likely the location of the ir sensor for the TV Remote functionality.

The IR is right on top of the phone on the right side. It's the 5-6mm glossy black dot. It's not on the corner.

You beat me to it.
Some versions (Korean I think) have a TV tuner requiring a telescopic antenna. The cutout is to allow it to extend.

Okay. I don't have an s4 yet. So I was simply going off my little to no knowledge

I don't think I would have bought the phone if it had a telescoping antenna. Glad I got the ir model

The rubbish case I bought has this "feature". Here's a picture from the manufacturer site showing the antenna:

In Korea most smartphones can play live TV that's broadcasted but you need a antenna to get a signal, basically the cutout let's you extend out that antenna
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
Yes, all Korean smartphones have TV antennas that let you watch live TV anywhere you want.
Its called DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting)
I believe Spigen will update with a international version of the case.

Clear outline from IMEI and back sticker?

I've had my N5 for 4 days now. There is a clear outline (still) of where the back clear protector and imei sticker were. Is this normal? Cos it looks bloody ugly.

I tried an iso alcohol swab, but that didn't do anything, then I tried Purell next and that worked great. Maybe the moisturizer or the aloe in the Purell helped? I'm not sure.

I use this stuff all the time for removing adhesive gunk and it does, in fact, work great on almost everything. Just be careful, I don't know if it might affect the soft touch coating.

It most likely got scratched on my zipper from my coat when reaching for my inner chest pocket. Which sucks if it's that gentle I have used tooth paste in my watches before not sure if it will work.
Sent from my SM-N900T using Tapatalk
I've got a scratch on mine as well, that's a bit worse than that. I've got no idea how it got on there.
I haven't used mine since it got scratched. I tried to buff it out with toothpaste but it only helped a little bit.
I need to try some other things, although it might just be too deep.
Screen protectors on a smartwatch are much more essential than on a smartphone, as it's really likely to scratch, even more than a normal watch glass.

Yea tried the toothpaste and worked just a little I'll just return it I mean really a zipper scratching a watch that's kind of ridiculous. Let's see if amazon takes it back since only a week old.

This puts just a bit of space between cameras to keep it from getting scratched.

FYI. Tried this methid on my screen and dramatically reduced screen brightness.
Psh, why bother when you can just..
Simply use a case with a rim around the camera and be done with it. I use the original Samsung case and didn't look back. In the picture the protective stuff is still on, removed it shortly afterwards.

Yes, but I removed that when I got mine. The sticker is a white sticker that comes off easily enough. The sticker is not meant to be left on the device.
