If I send a text message with the OK google, the message doesn't appear in any SMS app I've tested. Is there something I'm missing or is this just how it is on 5.01
Thanks
Having the same problem with my Alcatel Idol 3. If I send a text message using voice (whether "ok google" or any other speech-to-text method), the message is sent, but there remains no local copy on the phone.
This didn't happen until the most recent Android update
Using Android 5.0.2
Any ideas or solutions?

I have noticed that after I had uninstalled Civil Alerts, that I started to get these messages. Once I re-installed the program, the messages disappeared, but now I'm stuck with hearing that dumb alarm.
Oh well...
I am using CleanRom 1.1-oe2

Anyway my problem is with the s voice. Everything with it works so far except being able to send a text message. When i tell to send a text message all i get is "this device does not have the messaging function"
The reason i use s voice is because i ride a motorcycle with bluetooth on the helmet.
I have the default messenger uninstalled and cannot figure out to reinstall it even after having the apk. I get the message "App not installed." I am not sure how to install system apps..
I am not sure whether or not s voice can read aloud text messages from people....
So if anyone knows of a better app that allows to send and read text messages aloud using bluetooth. i would appreciate it.
I recently received a Gear S2 (paired to an LG Nexus 5X) and I have been unable to text people via S Voice (I receive a message stating that SMS Service is unavailable) or respond via notifications. However, I am able to text people through the "Buddy" and "Phone" applications that were pre-loaded on the watch.
Is this a compatibility issue with the phone I'm using or something else?
Thanks!
