I need to know through which SMS Center a text message was sent.
Anybody knows if this information is stored in the PIM database ?
I've looked through it to no avail.
Is this info discarded by the messaging application ?
Thanks.
The messaging center number is usually auto configured on the phone by the SIM card.. if you need yours google it "network name message center number"
Hi,
in other phones, you can check through which message center a text message (in your inbox) has been sent.
I know how to check/change the message center i am using.
I want to know how to check throuch which message center (SMS-C) the message I receive was sent.
EDIT: Actually, I don't know how to change message center for my messages, but I am not interested in that.
Any ideas about this ?
I have a motorola i886 which is a weird sorta-android phone with no touchscreen... Anyways, I managed to figure out how to root it but now I have another problem.
For some reason whenever I try to send a text message with anything other than the built-in messaging app, it will immediately fail to send. (they all get 'message failed to send' or 'message not sent' errors immediately after I try to send a message) I have tried chompsms, gosms and the quick reply feature from sms popup and they all fail. They can all read incoming messages OK but can not send for some reason.
Is this maybe some kind of permissions issue? In the manage applications menu it says that they all have the send_sms permission...
Does anyone have any idea of anything else I can check or try to get them working? I am kind of thinking that it may have something to do with the fact that this is such a strange phone and a weird modified android...
If I send a text message with the OK google, the message doesn't appear in any SMS app I've tested. Is there something I'm missing or is this just how it is on 5.01
Thanks
Having the same problem with my Alcatel Idol 3. If I send a text message using voice (whether "ok google" or any other speech-to-text method), the message is sent, but there remains no local copy on the phone.
This didn't happen until the most recent Android update
Using Android 5.0.2
Any ideas or solutions?
I am using CleanRom 1.1-oe2
Kernal version 3.10.61-4823236
Anyway my problem is with the s voice. Everything with it works so far except being able to send a text message. When i tell to send a text message all i get is "this device does not have the messaging function"
The reason i use s voice is because i ride a motorcycle with bluetooth on the helmet.
I have the default messenger uninstalled and cannot figure out to reinstall it even after having the apk. I get the message "App not installed." I am not sure how to install system apps..
I am not sure whether or not s voice can read aloud text messages from people....
So if anyone knows of a better app that allows to send and read text messages aloud using bluetooth. i would appreciate it.
For SMS, can you get rid of "Unable to receive messages on the gear. Change the..."
I use Textra and when I go to Messages on the watch, I get the common message of, "Unable to receive messages on the gear. Change the messaging app to Messages". If I click "X", most of my message are there. Is there a way to stop getting that message from popping up without switching to "Messages" on my phone?
or, is there another app besides "Messages" that integrates with the watch? I just don't like Samsung Messages.
Thanks everyone. Also, I have googled this topic, just want to get people opinions on this great forum.
I would also like to know how to get rid of this message.
Also, I use Google messenger as my default messaging app. On my s2 watch, I only see my own outgoing messages. It doesn't show any incoming messages. How do I see both sides of the conversation?
