[Completed] [How-To] [Root] How to ban Google Bar from recents ? - XDA Assist

Does that nasty white bar in recents annoy or disturb you ? There's a solution.
First, you should disable or uninstall (recommended) Google App. After this you will probably get "Couldn't ass widget"
Then get some root toolbox to clear data of System UI and Android System.
Soon afterwards you must restart your phone and potionally wipe cache.
Done ! It worked for me on Zenfone 2.

As a senior member on the site, I would think you know better places to post this. Also, you should know to read the stickies in a section, like this one from Assist, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2764768
Please post this in an appropriate section. :good:

[Q] can anyone help me with my situation?

hi i need a solution to this problem. i erased everything from my sd card and when i rebooted my phone the Music application wasn't there. I have a nexus one
You may have just deleted the shortcut. Go to the application drawer (center button on the bottom of the screen), and see if the Music app is in there.
If not, just go into the Google Play market and download it again.

[Completed] [Q] Unable to install 3rd-Party Apps CM12 i9195

Hello
Essentially, I have CM12 on my i9195, it worked perfectly fine for a period of time, but for some reason I am unable to install 3rd-party (non-play store) apps.
I am running the newest (20150206) nightly, and I have unknown sources enabled.
Furthermore, I've already done my fair share of googling, and no I am not using any kind of screen filter app, and I have sufficient memory.
Whenever I attempt to install an apk, it just comes up with 'app not installed' - nothing more.
I have also attempted to install through the terminal (using pm install /storage/emulated/0/Download/app.apk), which resulted in 'Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_DEXOPT]'.
I am completely new to any sort of android related things, so I have no clue how to solve this.
I'd be grateful if someone was able to help me out here.
Cheers

[Completed] Flashing Lenovo A536

I was given a Lenovo A536.
It's UI (Lenovo Launcher) was so annoying and ugly, and had no app menu. So I rooted and Uninstalled it.
(Rooted with iRoot & uninstalled with KingRoot)
Now when I turn on the phone, It's just black with status bar.
.
Is there any way that I can find KitKat 4.4.2 with no UI?
If found (or not :crying: ), can I copy zip file to SD card and flash it via reset menu (Power+Vol Up+Vol Down menu) without have any advanced knowledge?
.
Thank you!
