audible alert from email priority sender list - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S6

I don't check my emails during the day......however there are certain ones that require immediate attention. I set up a priority sender email list that is supposed to send me an audible alert when someone on the list sends an email. I had the S4 before this S6 and I had priority senders on that phone and it worked flawlessly. I was a customer of sprint at that time when I had the S4. Now that I have the S6 on the Verizon network....I am wondering if I am having problems because I switched carriers. Anybody out there have any ideas??

Redundant Google Voice SMS Notification

I'm writing this on behalf of a friend, so I don't have a Nexus S 4G to play with, but I have an Evo and am familiar with the vanilla android experience.
I have a separate GV number from my Sprint number and can get text messages for either. I also use GV as my voicemail provider.
My friend just got a Nexus S 4G, which has the Sprint/GV integration out of the box, instead of having the option (which I turned down, as I like them separate). He was getting a stock SMS app notification AND a GV notification for every SMS received. There's an option to disable the SMS notification in GV, but it must do something else, as checking/unchecking didn't do what I expected.
It wasn't until I uninstalled GV for him, and separated the Sprint/GV integration (getting him a new GV number) that the extra notifications stopped.
Now my sister has just gotten a Nexus S 4G, and she isn't very tech savvy and is on the other side of the country, so I'm to wondering if there's an easier way to accomplish getting rid of the extra notification.
I've read online about disabling Inbox synchronization to "fix" this, but I don't know if that will cease the voicemail notifications she's getting as well. Can anyone gimme an answer for that? Thanks!
Go to the SMS app and turn notifications off for that?

[Q] Custom notification for emails received via SMS

USCC Galaxy S3 4.1.2 stock
I receive SMS alerts from an email server for work. I would like to differentiate those from my other SMS messages but I cannot get the custom notifications to work when the sender is an email address. I did test and it works as expected when the sender is a mobile number.
I found another person having the same issue and they were able to enter the email address in the mobile number field to get custom notifications to work properly but that does not work for me. The other post was over a year ago so things may have changed.
Anyone have any ideas?

MAP BT profile - Emails? Contact pictures?

Hi,
Does the N5's MAP profile support Email subjects?
The Samsung Galaxy S4's MAP implementation allows my car's receiver to notify me about incoming text messages, and also about incoming Emails (subject and sender only). On my N5, it notifies me about text messages, but nothing about Emails. Is there a way to get that working? (I'm stock rooted - if that matters)
Similarly, for incoming calls, the S4 would show contact profile picture on my car's nav unit. But the N5 doesn't show the contact profile picture. Any way to get that to work?
Thanks!

S2 email notifications from S7 stock app broke by Samsung Gear update

Have been unable to find elsewhere where this issue is acknowledged by Samsung or any work around.
Two Samsung Gear updates ago S7 email notifications from the stock samsung email app to S2 stopped respecting per email account notification settings. Now when you set email notifications to on or off in the gear software, it is on or off for all your email accounts. This makes S2 almost unusable if one of your accounts is high volume. And if you turn it off, you don't get important email notifications.
The S7 notifications continue to correctly respect the Samsung email app per account notification settings on the phone.
Can anyone here confirm the issue and if it is in line for a patch? It started the same time that people noted that exchange and other email was no longer displaying on their S2 and had to be read on phone. Different issue but same patch broke both.
Any info welcome. Considering dropping the S2 from use.

Notifications from blocked numbers

Reaching out for help on said topic. I am receiving notifications from blocked numbers. I'm particularly speaking about SMS messages. The messages appear in the blocked and spam folder, but in my notifications panel I still receive a blank text showing I received a message from the blocked number. I recently upgraded my phone from galaxy S20+ to S22+, and on the S20+, this was not an issue. Is there any way to not receive that notification. Nothing I'm doing seems to be working. I even tried uploading my saved settings from my S20+ but that did not resolve the issue.
Thank you!
