Hello everyone!
I installed TKHD ROM and love it except i'm having 2 very big issues!
1. Text messages. I don't get messages friends send me even when they're right next to me.
I've tried AirPlane Mode, rebooted, cleared Data and Cache of the app itself and nothing :'(
2.. Phone calls. When placing a phone call it sometimes lags before making that little chime (the one that notifies you that you're now making a call before the ringer sounds) It could sometimes take a good 5 seconds before making the call. Or, sometimes i make a call and it goes straight to VM even tho the person im trying to call is right next to me. This is also the same when people sometimes try to call me. Tho i'm not even using the phone, when thye dial it goes straight to VM sometimes.
Once again i've tried rebooting, flashing the ROM clean all over again etc but the same thing persists.
How did i install this ROM? By following the exact guide provided on the OP.
ROM: Latest version of TKHD
Kernel: Whatever comes with this ROM tho i also use SkyHigh
Recovery: Latest TWRP
Bootloader/ Modem: The latest version (OKC?)
I know some may say its my device but we'll idk about that. It only happens on this ROM.
I really like this ROM and would love to stay with it but idk how i can do that if i can't get the basics to work
Please help XDA !
Have you tried Odin to stock rom. Factory reset then fresh install? Also, I would download another copy of the rom. Could be a bad download.

What app are you using for messaging? I'm having an issue with MMS sending right now, but I think it's related to WiFi Calling and EvolveSMS. However my cousin did send me a text yesterday which I did not receive, and I wasn't on WiFi Calling at the time.
I am actually using stock SMS and MMS.
And I heard something about WiFi calling or wifi in general
And I do have them off and still run into this issue

Hi folks
I have a Nexus S (i9020a). It has stock 4.1.2 Jelly bean from Google (downloaded the stock image and flashed it). It worked fine for over a month.
Suddenly few days back this device got a problem. When I dial any number I can't hear any dialing sounds and even after the call has connected I can't hear the opposite person and the opposite person also can't hear me (The phone still shows as 'Dialing' though it's already connected). The same is true when I answer any call. Both parties can't hear anything.
This is solved by rebooting the phone for the first phone call only. After I reboot, the 1st phone call works fine, then this problem persists for any calls I make/receive until I reboot the phone again.
I tried flashing a different radio but this problem is still there. I tried my sim card on a different phone and it works fine, so the problem is not that too. My 3G data works just fine.
I need this phone for the next few days/weeks (hopefully not months) before my Nexus 4 gets delivered
Thanks..
Edit: Modified the title; Probably gave the wrong meaning that the problem is solved.
<bump> Modified the title. Earlier title gave an impression that the problem is solved whereas I still have a problem.
Have you installed any apps which could somehow affect the dialler?
Unless someone else can give you a different advice, I can't think of any other option than do a full wipe and reflash.
I haven't installed any such apps.
Also, I already did a full wipe and flashed the stock image again. The problem is still there.
Don't know what else you could try, sorry mate - hope someone else can help you sort it out!
Thanks for trying. I think I will go to some hardware shop and see if they can figure out..
Try using a headset for making phone calls so that we can identify if it's really the hardware's problem.

I had similar problem when RAM running out. Usually a reboot fix the problem for a bit.
What I did:
1. With Titanium Backup Pro, froze unused RAM hogging system apps, like Google+, Google play magazine, etc
2. Froze or uninstall Facebook, Word with Friends, etc which are resident and hog RAMs .
3. Install marmite kernel, free up more usable RAMs.
Hope it helps you too.

Thanks for the suggestion!
I tried this too but doesn't work...
Try any custom ROM instead of stock ROM and a different kernel too. There could be chances that you've flashed the wrong ROM / radio too.

Problem solved.
I went to a hardware store today. The guy said that it's a problem with the 3G service of my carrier (Vodafone India). The moment I enabled the '2G only' option in the Mobile networks settings area, this problem was gone. The technician said that this issue is affecting some people randomly. He said that since 3G service was launched just last year, the networks are not yet capable of handling all kinds of devices (he claims that the bug is so erratic that another Nexus S i9020a may work just fine with the very same bootloader/radio/rom which doesn't make any sense). When I said that 3G service was working fine before, he said that most probably my carrier changed some settings on their side which is causing this issue for me.
I have tried this for 6-8 hours now, making a lot of phone calls and it seems that the issue is gone. It saddens me that I am off 3G for now but at least my phone calls and basic EDGE internet works fine. I will have to work with Vodafone to solve this or simply wait for my new phone (Nexus 4) and hope it won't have the same problem..
I have the AT&T version of the G2, its been rooted and I've tried both the Omni and Mahdi roms which i love, but im having major issues with not receiving incoming texts. Some come in, some dont, i have no idea why. When i text myself, they all come through. But i have had mamy people tell me that they texted me and i didnt respond. I did notice sometimes that when i restart my phone, i get a rush of text messages/emails once it powers back on. Also, i've tried both hangouts and regular aosp messaging apps and they are al lthe same. I following OP install directions for all roms and did a full wipe (as i always do anyways) when installing the roms.
Anyone else run into this issue or have any ideas?

Check your APN, I had this issue once before and switched my APN from AT&T LTE to AT&T PHONE. I still get LTE coverage without the SMS issues.
So here's my issue, my Galaxy S Blaze has been switched from ROM to ROM constantly, I have seen ROMS with modified build.props, other added features, and a bunch of other tweaks, you name it! I don't know what all those tweaks mean, I have no idea if it could affect the way my phone receives the signal but it got me so frustrated that I kept switching roms until finally then I went back to stock and am no longer am switching to another ROM.
Here's a history of the ROM switching I've made in the past couple of months:
1st - MIUI
2nd- Cyanogenmod
3rd- Gummy ROM
4th- Liquidsmooth ROM
5th- Cyanogenmod
6th- Dirty Unicorns (problems with signal started occurring right about here, and onwards)
7th- Stock ROM (hmm... nope nothing fixed.)
8th- Validus (still no, I didn't like the constant force-closing of many apps)
9th- Gummy ROM (nope, what's worse is my screen kept freezing if I had atleast 2 apps open and I slid down the notification drawer)
10th- Cyanogenmod (well, maybe switching to cyanogenmod will fix it)
11th- Gummy ROM (*sigh* switching back? Nope, still didn't help my signal)
12th- Stock ROM (you would expect it to be fixed right about here, but nope)
So what's up what is the exact problem with my signal? Here's the thing: My signal works! That's a start atleast. However, if I turn on my Wi-Fi while I'm home, I can still call/text people, all of that works. But after maybe 2 hours or so, the signal bar is still there, it's telling me it has signal and it's connected, SOMETIMES it will be empty meaning I have no signal(when I really do). But in reality, I can't receive texts, nor calls, none of that. So how do I fix it? By restarting my phone sadly, that has been the only solution for me for these past 2 months. People have complained to me because I don't answer my phone anymore, well I'm sorry my phone can't receive those calls due to this messed up signal. There are 3 other T-Mobile phones in the house that have no problem! The problem here is with my Blaze phone.
So what if I turn the Wi-Fi off for the whole day and see if it's the main thing causing the issue? Well, I did this. Turns out that the signal stays on longer than when I'm on Wi-Fi but it still goes out. I have switched SIM Cards, I have tried switching my APN: from "epc.tmobile.com" to "fast.t-mobile.com" but the problem appears to happen more quickly on the "epc" one than the "fast" one. Please help me with this, this has been frustrating me a lot lately. I'm not sure if anyone has even had the same exact problem that I'm having, I've searched online but haven't seen a similar problem.
Some of you might say, wow that is a lot of ROMS you've switched to, I'm sure there were more that I missed but that's as of recent. I can install ROMS correctly, I know how to use CWM when installing a .zip and using Odin when it's a .tar(or other supported file extensions). I've factory reset, wiped the cache, the dalvik cache, all before installing a new rom. After installing each rom, I've also factory reset and wiped the cache to make sure no other problems could affect the way the rom would work. Hopefully I did the procedure right, thanks for anyone who's willing to help me!
Right now I am running:
Baseband Version:
T769UVLH5
Kernel Version:
3.0.8-perf-T769UVLH5-CL990184

Android Version:
4.0.4
Another Issue is that I can't even transfer files to and from my phone when connected to my computer! This is another big issue, here are some images:

Here's what happens when I turn Wi-Fi Calling on but maybe it's just a built-in function that I forgot it had and it's probably normal:
http :// i.imgur.com/cTSqRci.png
By the way, sorry for the links just copy and paste them in a browser to and remove the spaces between the http :// and i.imgur, thanks! Unfortunately, I can't post links until I reach 10 posts. If the links don't work for you, I've also provided attachments.
Many thanks!!!
That last picture does show the proper function of Wi-Fi calling however I don't know what to say about the rest of your problems.

There are two things I would recommend trying...
1. Use Blackhole System Wipe
I know you've been following all the proper steps in CWM (and I would say to keep doing so), but I've added using Blackhole, in addition to the first steps, and I always get great system performance on my phone, and my parent's phones (I put them on ProvisionMod after stock was being stupid). It works well for pre installation for ANY ROM and helps prevent pesky issues. However, chances are, your issue is baseband related and this probably won't solve it... But still! You never know! It's worth a shot!
2. Reroot your phone
I know this will be annoying and pesky... but sometimes the process goes wrong from the beginning and starts giving issues later on... When I first rooted my mom's blaze, something went wrong, despite my following all the directions, and one of her partitions was completely disabled, no matter the ROM. I redid the process of rooting her phone (not from GB though... From the ICS stock) and fixed the issue instantly! I would try these two steps first and see if they do anything! Good luck!

I could really use some help for anyone who might have a solution.
My phone for some reason is not receiving calls. Not only that, but it does not register when I have a voicemail message and it more often than not takes me at least 2 tries to connect when I make calls. I should mention that I always have signal when my phone does this, even though it thinks I don't.
Has anybody else had this problem or know how to solve it? I'm not sure if I froze something I shouldn't have or if I might need a new sim, etc. I am on OE2 with CleanROM 1.5
Thanks in advance
You're currently using a custom rom, which usually come with bugs because 90% off them are still in beta. If you want things to work like they're suppose to I'd say use stock and and be rooted.
After last update ( Build cm-13.0-20160110-UNOFFICIAL-skyrocket ) i can't make calls
the device reboots when i do this and this problem was in ( Build cm-13.0-20151219-UNOFFICIAL-skyrocket )

Flash something else more stable that better suits your needs for now. This rom is still a work in progress. There will be a few hiccups from time to time. Wait for the next update

Yeah me too, I'm in the process of sending logs to developer. So I went back to 20151222 until problem analysed/resolved.

Bumping the **** outta this. Same issue on a build one year later (Cm13 Oct 01/2016 Celox). Contacts and phone stopped working. So I replaced them with Google's AOSP variants from the play store. At that point, the phone reboots when I try to call. The 3g works wtf...
Edit:
Yes, this was sent from my SGH-I727R by I'd rather be making calls with this. Also, incoming calls work. Just outgoing is the issue. Can't be my radio, right? Cm11 or 10 whatever it was worked flawlessly on the same one.
Edit2:
Ok, so after jerking around the apps, disabling/re-enabling the system dialer, etc., I received a call from my friend. At the point, all four soft keys stopped working while the calling issue completely fixed itself. After a reboot, the soft keys and the calling work flawlessly 0.0
Typical Android issues...
Although my friend is complaining about some beeping noise coming from my end during a call. Will look into it.
So current fix (for now): disable/re-enable the inbuilt contacts and dialer apps, reboot, enable them, clear their data, cache, whatever it takes, etc. Keep doing so until it magically fixes itself. Maybe try getting a buddy to call you and pick up. That is all I can think of in order to reproduce such weirdness :/

I don't think anything will really work in cm now because it's now discontinued and function will not work Cyanogen Account, etc. I also think it's modems stopped working... see here:Click Here
