Do not disturb got stuck - HTC One A9

My Do not disturb icon stays in the status bar. I tried to tap on it in Quick Settings but it didn't change. So far, I have boot in Safe mode, wipe the cache partition and didn't fix. I'm about to do factory reset but I'm not sure about the new backup/restore in the A9 (you can no longer backup to HTC). I don't worry about loosing the content but I don't want to spend hours to reinstall my apps and re-arrange them.

sync, wifi, and home button issues after titanium restore?

So Ive had my G2x for a few hours now.
once logged in Google a few apps and my wifi settings showed up on my phone. other than no landscape mode and some missing apps from my N1 (including amazon apps) all seemed fine.
so i rooted and I used Titanium backup pro to restore apps + data while un selecting any system apps.
since then I haven't been able to turn on WIFI and the home button doesn't work at all.
short of doing a factory wipe I am not sure what to do. its getting frustrating.
any help is greatly appreciated
I had the same problems. I just did a factory wipe and did not restore data from titanium. I was on CM7 by the way and I think some settings from Gingerbread do not gel well with froyo.
I also came from CM7, I had a feeling data would be the issue. oh well I guess i should start all over haha.
are you still using the stock recovery? Im not sure how to factory wipe on this phone
I guess the menu that says factory data reset would do it haha.
If you don't have a custom bootloader installed, hold volume down and power button while you boot up. That will reset it.
Thanks, that would have been my next try. I believe that's the same combo for most Androids Ive used.
already wiped from the settings menu. all seems like it was when i picked it up, including the lack of home screen landscape even though the setting is checked in menu. not a huge deal.
I cant wait for a stable CM rom

Factory reset

Hi,
i have/was having problems with tablet not waking up from sleep (lock) and also had a first known reboot out of the blue yesterday.
So, i first tried with cold boot, but didn't help.
Now i have factory reset the tablet, but the weird thing is that my boot animation is same as before, also the apk for google search > google now (which i was tried weeks ago) is still present. I had an impression that the factory reset - well, resets the tablet. But can someone please explain what does it actually, specially i need an answer on why the boot animation didn't go back to stock etc...
Why do a factory reset if thing are not like from factory
PS: still testing if it solved tablet wake up problems. Anyone figured out what is the cause and how to solve it?
how did you do the factory reset?
First time inside the cold boot menu (vold-down+power etc..), second time inside the OS (settings etc...)
So, it happened today again - couldn't wake the device from sleep. I did restore all my apps with titanium backup, so i still can't say what causes this, but i am very sad right now
Is there any way to look at some logs or something and to identify what makes tablet to not wake up from the sleep.
Next time I will try plugging it AC if it helps, but i doubt my problem is as described in some other thread.
Also, I would still like some answer on why the factory reset doesn't change the boot animation. I also noticed Elixir2 system widget app was still installed after the reset. Very strange. I can safely assume that build.prop was not overwritten, yes?
Thx

Stock moto g lollipop 5.0.2, screen goes blank after boot animation.

HI!
I've had this issue before, and this time I want to try not losing the data.
As I've mentioned in the title, my phone screen goes blank after the boot animation ends, i guess after it completes the boot animation and enters the homescreen.
This happened when I was on a call on viber, and previously as well this happened when I was on a call on viber. Last time, I had lost all data. This time I have the photos backed up, but did not backup rest of the data, phone settings, sms, app settings etc..
How can I save my data? My PC detects my phone, and I can enter into recovery mode.
Is Wipe data/factory reset my only option?
PS: I have tried wiping the cache partition twice, and it did not help!
Thank you
Issue solved for now. It seems the brightness was reduced to zero. After a restart i saw the screen light up very faintly and i increased the brightness. I still would like to know why this happened and how can i avoid it. Thank you.

Home screen reset and apps gone after exiting Ultra Stamina Mode [Lollipop]

I tried restarting the phone, but then Google Play and all my apps were gone, it's as if the device is partly in Ultra Stamina Mode with other functions still working. Google Play services keeps crashing also...
I think maybe I pressed "activate/deactivate" Ultra Stamina too many times as it was not exiting out of the mode at all...

Ouch!
I just did a factory reset and everything is fine now. Unfortunately I didn't back anything up and once this glitch occurs you can't! (you can't even view your IMEI number)
Sony gave me this reply but it wasn't helpful as I already did the factory reset:
1. If the issue is caused by a glitch on the software, you can try to force the device to restart, connecting the device to the wall charger and then press and hold down the volume up and the power key together at least 5 seconds, or until the device vibrates 3 times, then power on the device.
2. If that does not work you will need to find the OFF key that is next to the SIM card, is a red/yellow button, and please press and hold down the OFF button for 120 seconds.
3. If none of the steps stated before works, you will need to perform a factory data reset, please remember to perform a backup of the information because this process will reset the device into factory settings.
Factory data reset.
From your Home screen, tap the Application screen icon.
Find and tap Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset.
If you also want to erase data such as pictures and music, which is saved to your device's internal storage, mark the Erase internal storage checkbox (does not affect the SD card).
Tap Reset phone/tablet or Erase everything.
If required, draw your screen unlock pattern or enter your screen unlock password or PIN to continue.
To confirm, tap Erase everything.
If none of the steps previously taken solved the issue, in this case I will recommend you to perform a software repair to your phone, here are the steps on how to do it, we have an extended guide that should help you fix the Pattern Lock issue on your phone, please follow the instructions carefully:

Let me know what happens! Now I'm afraid of using Ultra Stamina Mode.
Thanks for the information. I read something about the step 1, but i tried and no luck..I did a backup before resetting my sony z5p, but the backup could not be loaded because it is saying that the Android OS is old (I guess Safe-mode). Luckily the Backup & Restore inside the xperia phone backed up almost everything, just some apps' chat history is gone.
I'm very afraid of using the Ultra Stamina mode, even know i am certain of the error that i (might have) made.

Apparently quite a few Z3/Z2/Z1 users have also encountered the same problem - appears to be a Lollipop-related bug. I couldn't even backup as the only option under "Backup & Reset" was Factory Reset
try to enter Ultra Stamina again, and then quit it
It helped me

Phone factory reset itself after entering Safe mode

My phone is Samsung Galaxy Note10 Lite (Android 12, One UI 4.1).
The device was working normally before I put it in my suitcase with many other phones without protection. After a while I took the Note10 Lite out and saw the wallpaper had changed to default like when I activated the phone the first time. A "Safe mode" text also appeared in the lower left corner of the screen.
I unlocked the device using password and it took me to the process looked exactly like a factory reset with Language/Region options and privacy settings to choose. I followed all of these steps.
After the "factory reset alike" was done, my 3rd apps were all gone, only system apps were kept. I opened Settings>Apps and no longer saw 3rd apps in apps list. I moved through the internal storage and noticed 15gb of data was loss. The strange thing is my media files (musics, videos,...) and documents are still intact, nothing has been deleted.
I tried to restart the system, also press the "turn off Safe mode" notification but it always show an error message when the phone boot up:
"Phone started in Safe mode. There's a problem that's preventing your phone from starting normally. You'll need to factory reset your phone to exit Safe mode. you can use Safe mode to back up your data to a computer or SD card before resetting your phone."
As far as I know, phone which turns into Safe mode isn't supposed to do a factory reset automatically. Does anyone know what problem am I facing with? I don't want to do a factory reset as the message said, because there are apps contain important data which will be lost if I reinstall them.
Booting into Safe Mode DOES NOT FACTORY RESET Android OS:
