New s3 apps for s2?

Samsung product page says a new spotify app, bmw app and more apps is working for s3.
But i cant find any of them for s2. Anyone nows if they will be released for s2?

for the deprecated watch they released a new firmware.
Actually there are several new features according to the release note (see screenshots)
I was able to use some of them, but I could not find the downloadable watchfaces from S3.
Anybody know where we could find them ? (with what name ?)

Because we can all read that.

a search for that firmware version gives me no results, whereas mine was released sometime in july/august 2016. when did you receive yours? perhaps it's the same, just with different designations according to country.

I received this yesterday along with all of my Turkish friends. I guess that's not just for Turkey.
And it shouldn't be an old firmware because It has features uniq to S3.
S3 apps (Alti-Barometre , find my car etc.) new widgets, S3 watchfaces and games.

ok. i did read a little while ago that the s2 was going to get an update near the end of the year, with s3 features. i guess we just (continue to) play the waiting game now. thanks for the info.

Purchased Samsung Galaxy S8+ in Portugal , Samsung Pay not working in India / USA :(

I purchased my S8+(SM-G955F) in Lisbon because i was getting a good deal at a chain there and i got it before the phone went on sale globally . Good thing is the phone works wonderfully well and no complaints. Also since i got it in Europe i have a 2 year warranty too but Samsung Pay is not working in both India and US. It was working on S7 Edge previously without trouble. I hear that Samsung Pay has not been launched in Portugal and that is why i am getting an error while trying to launch the app.

Try using VPN and emulate location different than India and USA, and try to run S Pay

I reset the phone via recovery mode and then put a sim of India ( where Samsung Pay is available) and setup the phone. Samsung Pay is now working

Gear S3 Not Compatible? Can't install apps or use Samsung Pay...

So I pair my Gear S3 with my PH-1 and got that all going just fine. Pairing another phone always involves resetting the watch so I have to go download a few apps afterwards and I can't! I get an error from the Gear app's store saying "This device does not support Gear."
Everything else has worked fine up to this point.
Also looks like I can't install/use Samsung Pay for it either.
Super lame.

Had this problem on the mi mix and the G6. I'm pretty sure Samsung has to update the app... It got updated pretty quickly for the G6 but never got fixed for the mix... Pretty much a crap shoot on if they will update it or not.

S3 works perfect on my mi mix running resurrection. Got the s3 to connect to my essential but software crashes when I try to install Samsung pay.

Ya, I'm paired and running ok. Getting notifications and all that. Just no additional apps or Samsung Pay.

It didn't used to work on the stock rom on the Mix. Maybe it does now, not sure as I don't have a Mix anymore or a Gear s3..lol

I don't think Samsung knows WTF they're doing. Just chatted with support about this (after being directed to one support site based on my Play Store review that later told me that wasn't the right place to go)...

I MIGHT try to chat again and get a different person but this is ridiculous. They apparently want Essential to update their phone, because it is new, to work with the Gear app...

The changelog for the watches read as ‘Application of stabilization code related to terminal operation’, simply means it has here to enhance overall quality. The firmware version R8**XXU1DUK1 is released in South Korea, and it has 93.55MB weight. Nothing has been found new in the firmware, nor any other major changes. LTE versions will always lag far behind because the code has to be checked against the mobile networks. I imagine that is a lot of additional red tape. We see the same thing with LTE vs. non-LTE tablets.

Got my update today. US non-LTE 46mm Classic. Update was a bit larger at 94.27 MB. Possibly related to Classic vs non-Classic?

My Watch 5 Pro is still on 2/28/2023 update, so no need just yet to assume Watch 4 is no longer supported.

They are not finished with new Watchface or new colors... or not enough Bugs...

Today my GW4 Classic (sm-r880) received april update through R880XXU1GWD6.
I just installed the update, have not yet noticed any change or improvement.

I'm based in the uk and got an update, although I didnt get a notification I had to manually check
