Backup home screens and folders? - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Note5

I'm trying to backup my home screens and folders so while switching ROMs I can, easily restore them. What's a good app for this?

Possible to backup yout HTC Sense "Scene"

I want to switch between roms, then restore apps via TitaniumBackup, then restore my icons on their respective pages.
Possible?
I would love this... Would take a lot of the tedious 're-layingout' of the home screens every day or so.
This should be relatively easy I would think, since there are already 'saved' configurations in the ROMs.

i dont think ive ever heard of anyone finding those files, but i have heard talk of doing it before. any progress on that ever made?
TitaniumBackup DOES allow this to be done. I'm currently running DamageControl 2.07.2, and I restore my HTC Sense desktop everytime I wipe the phone or change ROMs.
Under Backup/Restore, find the one that says "[DESKTOP] HTC Sense", this will allow you to backup and restore the exact Sense layout you're running.
A possible side-effect that I've experienced is that after reboot my HTC widgets disappear, so I use RootExplorer (paid app) to re-install HTCClockWidget.apk under /system/app. That will take care of the disappearing widget.
Hope this helped!!
Fresh Kitchen can do this. Look under the tools tab.
id like to know where the folders are located. it'd really help gain some space.
god, cant wait for the effin evo

Or you can just clear the data in SETTINGS > Applications > Manage Applications > HTC Sense
That brings the widgets back as well... Or at least, brings back the ability to re-add them
Doesn't that also wipe your home screens clean?

but it also means that you'll have to reconfigure the Sense desktop, making the backup and restore useless

Kitchen doesn't support 2.1 roms though. I once backed up my sms from the same screen the backup scene button is on and I restored it to a 2.1 ROM and it went completely wonky and I had to RUU!

It works if you're using a third-party launcher. Can be funky if using the system launcher though.

Gotta love Titanium Backup for when this happens. Just need to set up your widgets and all the icons are set just the way you left them.

Using TiBu to restore launcher settings for a system launcher after changing ROMs can result in things getting REALLY messed up.

Most market launchers also have the option to back up in their menu settings as well

take a screenshot of your homescreen(s) when it's all set up, save it to your PC, and just try and imitate it every time you reset

[Q] How to restore categories and home screens?

Is there a way to restore categories and home screens when switching ROMs? I restored all apps except the ones in red in Titanium Backup, but that put everything in one big download folder.
Maybe my backup for root
I've googled around for a bit, can't find it.
My guess? First test out which ROM you want, then make it completely right one time.
Good luck with it.

Maybe a useful comment, I don't see the use in it tough. Can you explain this further?

Saving and Restoring Layouts

I have tried searching but haven't found an answer.
Being a relative newbie, I like trying out different ROMS. Is there a way of saving page layouts that can be restored once the new ROM is loaded, or do all my previous pages have to be recreated by hand?
ex-egll
Too many variables and too much potential for config conflicts. best to recreate by hand, or flash less often
If you use a third party launcher and have a backup of that launcher, then when you restore the launcher your home page should be what it was..
Titanium backup..

None of the backup apps will restore the widgets. This is due to the way android works. you will have to reset up the widgets each time you flash a rom.

I have been told that some of the launchers have backups within themselves though. I always use the stock launcher, so I can't, authoritatively, speak any further to it.

[Q] AOKP and home screen folders

I created a home screen folder today by dragging icons on top of each other. But when I dragged one out (Twitter) I now have a permanent Twitter bird stuck on all screens!
Any suggestions on how to get rid of this? I uninstalled the app and everything but it's still there, and then accidentally did it again with Google+!
I have a nandroid backup (of course) but it's a few days old, so I'd rather not roll back to that if I don't have to.

The latest version of Nova.
Never mind... after another restart for a separate reason, it resolved itself.
