Yeah, I'm on BOK4 and rooted using it.

I had the same trouble trying to root BOK4 with CF Auto Root BOA6. Solution for me was to go to Settings>Security>and uncheck REACTIVATION LOCK. Try to root again and should be good to go. Good luck.

how to root

Hi,
I've been reading and trying to get root on my sm-g920F with firmware G920fxxu2bofj android 5.11
I know pingpong doesnt work so i was looking in CF-autoroot. i dont really care about knox.
but i dont know how to install since there are no instructions. and all threads are such a mess so its really hard to piece everything together.
any one want to point me in the right direction?

Sorry I don't know as much about rooting as I wish I did. Can you please explain to me what exactly is Unikernel? Will it just root?
Also I have recently read in another post that G920R7 isn't compatible with Unikernel and there has been cases of bricked devices. Have you tested it?

Here is the Unikernel page. I just used it after seeing your post and worked perfect. I have the 920I though, so not sure about the 920R.

Need help rooting an S6

I want to root my S6 but I know nothing about rooting and such. I've tried towelroot, kingroot and pingpong but none of them seem to support my device.
It's model nr SM-G920F and the build number is MMB29K.G20FXXS3DPD3. I'd like to root it without triggering knox if possible, if it's not tell me what not to do as to avoid bricking it.
It's 6.0.1 Marshmallow
Sorry if this noobish of me to ask but I can't find any tuts with which I feel secure rooting, thanks!

Yes it does. I rooted it yesterday. But be careful with TWRP,
"recovery is not seandroid enforcing" may appear on boot, and u may experience a bootloop.
Keep a stock official rom in your pc, in case u want to recover. Use Odin

Im pretty sure cf-auto root by chainfire works with MM but you can double check his thead HERE .
My laptop is down ATM and am trying to find a no pc root method, but no luck thus far.
I tried
KingRoot (i know i know, but i tried anyway)
Galaxy s5 MM 6.0.1 (kltespr__SM-G900P)

is it ok to cf root my note edge N915G

I want to root my note edge SM-N915G (which i recently updated to marshmallow (officially - using system auto update)) using CF auto root. I have been reading tutorials on the internet on how to use it. It says to download the right Files first from the autoroot.chainfire.eu site.
but the one for the SM-N915G (android 6.0.1) has a build number of MMB29M.N915GXXS1DPH3 while the one on my phone is MMB29M.N915GXXU1DPG6. is that ok?
they also have a warning about this:
UNLOCK BOOTLOADERS
If you have locked bootloaders, flashing one of these will probably brick your device - with the exception of Nexus devices, which will usually automatically "OEM unlock" and wipe your data !
is it safe for me to root my phone, or i have to fulfill some prerequisites first?? thanks
I got the same model as well, did you manage to find the right files? Really want to try viper 4 Android

I think the method on the link you provided will work (cant try it though because my phone is currently bricked)
The one that bricked my phone is when i use the cf auto root using the files on there site .. i think the problem is about locked bootloader on android m .. not sure though. . I will definitely try the method in the link you provided after my phone is fixed
the cf auto root is for MM ? hard or soft brick ?
